  1. If your looking for a strong swinger.. look for gusseting around the shock mount.. thats the high stress part of the swinger. It don't take alot of torq to keep that carrier from spinning. Take a look at the Lonestar swinger and look how they gusset around that shock mount compared to that avenger.
  2. 14/42 is about the average gearing for duning here.. with a bolt on bike what dunes are you going to? Sand robs alot of power from the bike.
  3. easiest might be to get a packing kit from trinity.. they might have them all precut for their silencersbut I dunno... I usually sell my pipes before I repack. lol I've used toomey packing which was a pain... shit floating around everywhere.. PT packing and that was pretty easy to work with.. I know some guys just use the pink panther insulation. I've also used the whitebrothers silent sport packing to try and keep my Db's down for my dunes.... I dont think it worked..
  4. I agree.. I'd just go to the next bore size and get a fresh set of pistons and not worry about it for another few yrs.
  5. my PT's with fatboy silencers and clamp on sparky's was at 95db's with fresh packing.
  6. PC is 789 with carrier and brake plate, chrome is $195 more
  7. I've never had a problem with 2 pinch bolts.. but to ea. their own I guess.. Its kinda like buying over priced insurance... you think your getting better quality insurance.. but in the end... all the coverage is the same.. lol If money isn't a option and your looking to spend 1k on a swinger.. why not Lonestar?
  8. I might be wrong but I think thats CFM using a different name.
  9. I'm interested in the mohawks but not the rims lol
  10. If your changing swingarms.. it will be more then worth your while to go with the roundhouse.. once you have it.. you'll wonder why you havn't switched sooner.. I get all my swingers from Havoc Performance.. All chromoly steel and fit great. I just put a +4 on a trail bike.. send Blewbyu a PM
  11. I bought a blown up banshee a few yrs back.. rebuilt it with all new parts.. and it ticked.. i've replaced everything I thought it could be.. Reeds, oustide crank bearings, all new topend. port chamfers, transmission bearings, water pump bearings everything seems ok.. all clearances are in check also... i've had the motor split 3 times looking for problems. but ikeep coming up with nothing... so... I'm just running it till/if it blows.. then I'll know what the problem is! lol I'm thinking it might be a center bearing on the crank.. It spun freely last time I checked the crank so when we tear it down for the 4mil this winter I'll go through and dbl check everything again.. but I dont think i'm gonna find anything again lol
  12. Just out of curiosity.. how do you know 100% its not jetting? was it dyno tuned?
  13. you can get ASV's all day long on ebay for under $20 shipped with a 1yr warranty. I got my ASV lever setup for 12 shipped.
  14. I'd run the Boss.. LSR is good stuff but your paying for the name and the reputation. I havn't had any problems with my Boss stuff yet.
  15. I was running 195-200lbs on mine with 13 on the plate.. but i'm running alky too.. Like okbeast and moneybags said.. i'd do a leak down and if that passes... you must be lean your jetting..
  16. sounds like you got your bases covered.. good luck.
  17. I would have to chalk one up for a faulty tester.. 19cc domes with your elevation would put you in the 160ish for psi. Try some different testers like you said.. and if you still get 122lbs.. then maybe try a leakdown and check for a broken/pinched o-ring. But I dont see a o-ring being a problem.. being that you would get 2 different readings from ea. cylinder. Its gotta be a bad tester but it wouldnt hurt to check for a leak I guess if you can't find anything wrong and the testers check out.
  18. well.. then its not me! lol http://s78.photobucket.com/albums/j102/fou...nt=7369f68f.flv http://s78.photobucket.com/albums/j102/fou...nt=a8a05774.flv
  19. I've seen your bike... i know he's not talkin about you! If he is... thats the ugliest trailer queen I've seen!! lol j/k You got some bling items finding their way onto your bike though.. so it wont be long and you'll have stock in micro fiber towels!! lol
  20. I'm just curious who your talking about?
  21. I've sheared a few too.. the 2nd time it sheared it galled the keyway on the crank, and after that I couldn't even keep a stock woodruff key in it... soo... I had to get a new crank. and this was back when it was just a play bike with bolt ons.
  22. It should have been reamed before it left for the chrome shop. I bet they have 10-20 arms already built sitting on the shelf. I would hope it looked stronger then the Havoc arm.. its 3x the price! Seems like everyone is expecting everything for nothing these days.. Havoc makes good arms and their friends of mine.. just hate to see people try and say they make bad product when thats not the case... Well I think i've said enough here.. sorry to clutter your thread.
  23. I've seen many of HAVOC's arm's and I use them myself.. They are VERY nice arms. I dont think I would start to compare quality when this company ships them out with out even reaming the bores.. Kinda of shotty quality control and turns me off... Just outa curiosity what was the price of that avenger swinger??? Never mind.. I just found the price. They better pay for shipping both ways to fix it for that price.
  24. I dont think they'd give me enough webspace for that Cody... lol
