if you think the webs seperating can`t cause catastrophic failure to your cases. then don`t get the pins welded.ever see how close the webs ride to the case when a crank is true?65 bucks is money well spent if you have the motor apart.i have taken stockers apart with seperated cranks.it `s not pretty.

stator would be my guess.new coil? or used one? try trimming the wires back a quarter inch.cdi could be acting up as well. if you know anyone with a banshee i would swap cdi`s before digging into the stator.

i used cr 250 v force. real real pricey, when my nitrous would backfire and shoot the v force cages out the back of my 39mm pwk`s.

plus e bay fees are at an all time high, 65 parts listed, and i get 20 deadbeats. e bay is doing itself in. it used to be a goldmine.now it`s barely worth it.

just clean it up and sell it whole, the bottom fell out of the parts market, e bay fees are high.and there is 50 people parting bikes out now.try craigslist.

i have helicoiled holes before, they spin or pull out, i find it best to tap it to the next size up STANDARD. no drilling, just run the tap in there and find the correct bolt size.

i lived in philly 38 years, and rode every area there is around 150 miles sq. stick with gas, not only will you use twice the fuel, but you will use twice the pre mix oil. it is very touchy to humidity and temp. you will be jetting it daily. factor in a top end when tuning it your 1 st time.i only ran alky at the drag strip and beach st. for the woods or anything else but straight lines it is a pain in the ass.
