  3. I have switched out 3 different carbs on that left side and no change. I also have installed a brand new coil and still no change. I checked the reed for damage and they looked good, cleaned the carbs again and checked the float. I believe if it was a stuck float the gas would run out of the overflow but it doesnt. I am running a 280 main jets in the bike. The gas is drowning out the spark and the left side weakens. I thought it could have been an electrical problem with my harness or CDI. When I unplug the right side spark plug boot and start it, then the left side runs good, but when I plug both of the spark plug boots up and start it, then left side weakens like its losing spark. I have the pickup coil set at 0.018 and still no change, also installed a new Woodruff Key.What the heck is an Overhaul??????? Also will a 1991 harness fit a 1995 CDI box??????????? This Bike Is Killing Me Slowly
  4. I have installed a new coil on the bike and it still has the same problem. I think I need to upgrade my harness and CDI to a 97 and up setup. The bike is still losing spark on the left side and weakening. I dont know whats wrong with this thing and its getting me pissed off. I also installed a new Woodruff Key, Intake Boots, and Carbs on the bike and still no help. I am lost with words with this thing, PLease Help If You Can???????????
  5. Yes the smoke is the same on each side. I purchased a new Ignition Coil with the spark plug boots, but havent installed them yet. My motor has good compression on both pistons. The bike kicks right over every time. Do you guys think it could be the Base gasket causing the problem are just electrical problem ???????????
  6. I am running 280 main jets and it seems that after it warms up it is losing spark or something on that side, but when I first start it both pipes or firing and sounding good. When I leave to run for a sec the left pipe starts to get weak and barely putting out any exhaust.

  8. OK i have tried everything today but no luck. I sat the carbs in carb cleaner and blew them out. I checked my reed boots for cracks but nothing. It think that as the bike warms up its losing spark b/c when I first start it the thing runs perfect until it has ran for about 2min then the left cylinder weakens to the piont where it is barely firing. Another could be is that the left cylinder is spitting out gas, my head pipe was full of gas, and the pipe didnt even get hot on the left side. What could this be caused by. Also when I switch the spark plug wires to each side the problem stays on the left side, could it be that I just need a new coil. PLease let me know ASAP.
  9. OK I have a 94 Banshee. I just changed the carbs out, my left cylinder is not as strong as my right cylinder, which is making it run crappy. When I first start it the left side has thick smoke and I have gas on my hand after covering the exhaust with my hand. The right side is firing perfect. I have cleaned the carbs numerous times and no change. The left side pipe is not even gettin hot at all like the right side. I have the tors removal kit on my bike also. What could be the problem and how could I solve it ASAP. I believe the left carb is dumping to much gas into the cylinder, which is causing it to not fire, but I dont know PLEASE HELP. Mods: 1. FMF Pipes and Silencers 2. +4 timing 3.Stock Carbs and Jetting 4.TORS Removal Kit 5. 12/41 Gearing 6. Bored .40 over 7. Barnett Clutch Everything else is stock as I know of

  13. I live in New Brunswick NJ, which is Central Jersey. I have a 1994 Banshee. I need some directions to some places I can go riding at without the cops trying to take my bike or my truck. I am so anxious to ride my bike again, after it being in the shop for about 3weeks. I heard of Manchester but need some directions of where to go and park? PLEASE HELP WITH SOME LOCATIONS TO RIDE

  16. I have a 94 Banshee with, FMF Pipes and Silencers, 12/41 gearing, Uni Airfliter with open box, TORS removed, jetted professionally. My bike starts and both of my pipes release smoke and is firing properyl. After letting run to warm up one cylinder seems that it is losing spark somewhere b/c only a little bit of exhaust is coming out but the other side is firing perfectly. I took my plugs out and the were a chocolate brown color but one side was a little wet on the plug, so I put new ones in and the problem was still there. What can I do to fix this and What is the problem with it?????????? It is causing the bike to run very poorly and bogg out?????????????
  17. It was extremely cold out today and I was bringing the Banshee out for a ride today. I started her and let her run for about 15min in order to warm up, both cylinders were firing but the bike was not running at its proper performance. It was riding like something was holding it back from catching the proper power, also it was back firing alot.The bike would catch speed for a quick second and then drown out and shut off in low gears. I would have to gun the throttle in low gears when riding to keep it from shutting off, the idle was perfect though. I store my bike outside under a tarp, could it be moisture in the carb or water in my tank??????? I changed the plugs and it still was acting up, dont know what it could be. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME HELP????????????????
  18. My Banshee is a 1990 and the guy said that they came off a 2000 Banshee. I didn't know that the hubs were different sizes throughout the years. So basically I need to get the newer hubs put on my bike?????????
  19. I bought some tires from a ebay store and the guy told they came off a Banshee. I recieved the tires today and they were too small for my hubs. What should I do put Blaster Hubs on the Banshee and then put them on, would that work ?????? Do all year Banshee's Have the same Bolt Pattern????
  20. Hey Guys I Figured Out The Sputtering Problem. My wires were corrided and the coil wire had been cut. My carbs were not adjusted properly either. After having the whole bikes wires cleaned and re-wired properly, the carbs ajusted and cleaned out the bike ran like a Champ. Also I had 87 octane gas in the bike, which was a NO NO and I drained that out and went with a 93 octane gas which is better.

  23. The Bike start fine but it Sputters as I am trying to pick up speed but when the power band kicks in it clears up. I will let the mechanic now about running it Rich. The Mechanic said he thinks its a bad connection somewhere, and he also is goin to adjust the carbs. Thank Guyz
  24. Ok I changed the spark plugs with some brand new NGK plugs, cleaned air filter and it still sputtered. The bike only sputtered at low RPM's, but when it is sputtering and I gun it the bike will pick up proper speed and stop sputtering. When I first hop on it and take off its sputters like crazy especially when I am just crusing. After riding it for a couple of hours yesterday with it acting crazy, the sputtering stoped, but as soon as I turned the bike off and let it sit for like 2hrs and try to ride it the sputtering would come right back. The bike starts on the first or second kick no problem. I took the bike to a local bike Mechanic today, he is goin to clean the carbs out and adjust them for me. I will go with the 300 main jet. I know you guys are experts with this bikes, so I am taking your full advice. Do you guys think I should change the Stator on the bike?????? I will let you know how the bike is ASAP. ( If You have more advice on solving the problem PLEASE LET ME KNOW ) Thank Guyz
  25. I have FMF Fatty Pipes with Power Core Silencers. The bike has the Air Box Lid on, with a Uni Air Filter. The carbs have been jetted also. The guy I bought it from said he installed racing carbs on the bike. I dont know what the needle settings are. I though it was the Stator making it sputter but I am not sure, I need your help????
