  1. i bought a durablue X-33 with hubs for $420 it's a stout piece, and it has two widths to choose from standard or plus 4.I've had NO problems with anything coming loose due to vibration (hubs or retainer nut)
  2. nose heavy? next time you are midflight grab the next gear and rev her out! . I jump the shit out of my banshee all the time with the stock suspension it's not REAL bad, I bottom it out more on takeoff than landings.I'd rather spend my dough on HP than a $2000 suspension setup ,and i'm sure i'm not the only one
  3. not bad, funny how history repeats it's self! first the mustang ,then the others watch them sell like hot cakes and want in on the action! I've been predicting this for over 12 years! New Camaro and Dodge Challenger it's about time!! love them all, owned them all to. 1969 SS350 Camaro dragcar . 1969 RS/SS 396 fully loaded coupe. 1967 Barracuda fastback . 1971 Barracuda .1971 Barracuda prostreet 440 .1995 GT Mustang. Plus all the muscle I helped the old man build.
  4. get the 4mm crank! I bought mine on ebay, from VIP racing it's the longrod one and i picked it up for $439 (new). I looked around for a bit and didn't find one cheaper.
  5. Ya I've seen them advertised before,I was on planetsand last night and saw that a 10 plate clutch is also avalible from a company called Kenetic, looked sweet to,but I'll be trying the toomey springs 1st,then after the holidays get into a lockup from Jeff at F.A.S.T, as he's got a pretty sweet deal.
  6. Just got off the toomey link, they claim 100% more pressure than stock!?! I might give the springs a try but I'll probablly get the lockup unit as I don't see an end to the mods anytime soon
  7. I just installed my CPI's on my banshee,It's got a vito's plate for the 4mm longrod so my fit should have been a little off but they fit like a glove!! nice and straight stem to stern they do lightly touch the frame in a couple of places but nothing to bitch about! I used the forward grab bar mount for the silencers if they are off it's maybe 1/8th of an inch lower on the left side. You would need x-ray vision to tell that it wasn't perfect!
  8. All the plates looked good the inner boss is new,the basket is just starting to show a bit of wear. The new motor really sounds mean! The locker isn't to much$$ it's the mods and the down time that are required to make it all fit.But it is snowing here so I guess I should get it over and done with eh? Who has the best cover mod? I do like the clear ones they look tight!
  9. I thought my stockers had the bottom of the needle visible at wot, just trying to compare apples to oranges i guess. And it's been 2 months since I removed the stock carbs. It must be a memory that I'm tryin to suppress
  10. I was only trying to seat my rings when it was slippin,I can't imagine tryin to let it hangout at all,5th would hold under gradual throttle.6th was pretty bad.I was thinking 6 HD springs would get me by till i get a locker.I think I'm making 75hp or so, is it possible to prevent slipping at this power level with just springs?
  11. I thought that in order for the mains to operate properly the needle has to be withdrawn fully from the main jet? i guess it's pretty dam close.
  12. Are you still running the thumb throttle? If not how do you get the carbs to open alll the way? my slides are around a quater of an inch in the way at WOT.

  14. I just did my pro lites three or for days ago, they should be able to drop in to your jugs with something like .006-008 clearance, then file fit to where ever you want them.I opened mine up to 0.010, the minimum according to a 2.5 bore.I'd double check your bore size for sure, and maybe your part #'s on the rings.
  15. My new stroker is slipping my clutch in 6th gear, it supposedly already has heavy duty springs in it,but they are not giving me the pressures needed to grab.I would like a lock up unit but my wallet needs a breather! The clutch looked great when i had the cases apart so i know it 's the power thats causing this.I'm lookin for info on springs that might cope, clutch pull is not a concern.
