I have bought the kit from fmf many times now, and always the same thing, they dont even fit when they are new

I have an 03 banshee, fmf pipes, k&n with no lid, cool head, 19cc domes, and +4 timming. and was wondering what are the advantages and disadvantages of running no air box. I ride mostly sand, but once in awile i do ride in the dirt and through semi wet conditions.

My left side fits tight, but when you put the springs on the right side, they are lose and dont fit tight, so when you rev it up, the pipe blows about 1/2 inch off of the cylinder and makes a horible rattling noise. any sugesitions, or is this a manufacture defect?

Hard Starting even when it is warm out

first, i think you mix your oil too rich, that might be why it starts and then dies, but does it start with the choke on? and if its backfiring out of the pipe you need to look at timing, plugs, coil cause it is probably misfiring -
your gas could be dirty, check the screen on the tank to make sure that is clean, clean your carbs, and also it seems like your mixing too much oil in your gas, 1 court for 4 gallons is too high in ratio.

i have changedt he springs and seals on my fmf fatty's a couple of times, i just buy there little kit for 10 bucks, but the right side keeps getting lose, after a couple of rides, the springs have no more tension. does anyone know what to do besides changing the springs every couple of weeks?

sounds like your ratio is too much oil, most people run between 32:1 up to 40:1 and higher. Your bike should smoke alot after you rebuild, from all the extra oil you put on the rings and bearings, but that doest last long, it should burn up fast.

its all about underground hip hop, the living legends, atmoshere, sage francis, check them out, you wont be disapointed.

should be 200-250 tops for gaskets, pistons, wrist pins and bearings. as long as you got the hone lined up, it shouldnt take more than a day.

Have you removed the TORS? I had the same problem on my 03' and it was the wire off of the parking brake and I just un-hooked it and it was all good after that.

I have an 03 LE and i just used black primer with a little clear coat and some wet sand and she turned out pretty good. still has held up all year as well.

Go with the fatty's or the T6's, it sounds like you wont be doing any porting for awile. Either pipe will be good for running around the dunes or street. YOu will be very happy with either one.

i think you will be happy with either fmf fatty's, or some t6's. they are both good all around pipes, and have a great sound, if you dont have many other mods, then this is the ones for you. make sure you re-jet your carbs when your done, and if you dont already, get your self a k&n and pro flow kit to help get some more air with the upgraded exaust.
