yah well they dont make a gto like that anymore and very soon its bye bye for your 2 stroke banshee so it would make sence to put all the time and effort into the yfz. because thats what we will be forced to have or you could ride a classic warrior. its funny all this because i decided to try some yfz plastic on a banshee, and no i dont think a yfz will replace a banshee but its a hell of a attempt. and it does outshine the banshee in many areas. where the banshee really only can outshine the yfz at the dunes and even then not always. and with names like rocketboy, slayer and best of all shee-male i really dont get to upset coming from you assholes. its just fun seeing you guys carry on about me changing your wonderful 80s banshee to look like somthing else. when i took this thing down to l.s. utah i had alot of really good comments from people so thats good enough for me. i like doing some not so normal shit, and when i do most of the time it turns out very well.

have you 2 even rode a yfz.

i have a banshee and a yfz so eat my ass, take a new banshee and yfz and pipe and filter them and tell me the yfz wont kill it . because it will and i dont hate banshees i just wanted to upgrade mine just like most people do mabey i didnt choose to do it the normal common way. but to bad i can do it anyway i want so fuck off. lets see you take a 100hp banshee and see if you can beat a 50hp yfz on a mx track. it wont because each machine is good in its own area. its just that a yfz does work better for more things. i know you can take a banshee and throw on a cheetah cylinder and some drag pipes and paddles and no yfz will touch it. so im not anti-banshee just trying to change and upgrade my banshee. so again kiss my ass.

they sold all of them because it was the only high performance quad for a long time, if the 250r would have stayed as long as the banshee it would have out sold the banshee. so no shit yamaha sold so many.

i think mabey some of you get very defensive about you wonderful banshees because they are coming to an end at least to yamaha. and i do understand that dont mean nothing will be made to keep them going just slowly getting taking over by yfz450,s like it or not that seems to be how its going to be. so when you see sombody changing a banshee and making it look like it didnt just come out of 1986, try to wipe your tears and not be so fucking sad its still your beloved banshee under the new body work. it is very pathetic yamaha never updated it in all its years like they did with the warrior, blaster, wolverine, and every dirtbike almost yearly, and i dont think the lack of update isnt because everybody loves the bug eye headlights and the to very sqaure tank. fullbore seen it to be very needing of a facelift as well most of you that buy it. so just relax its only plastic and the coment how to take the ugly out was meant as a joke. im sure they looked and rode great in there day, but hop on a yfz and aside from the seat you can honestly tell me you wouldnt love to have there light weight and handling and oh my god there new styling, and better yet a yfz chassis and plastic with a banshee motor.

heres some pics after coming back from ls utah, no problems at all and had alot of good comments. still need to build a front bumper. but my brother still wants a 4 stroke.

trade custom banshee for 4 stroke sport quad looking for a predator raptor or ds650, or cannondale,fully rebuilt with yfz450 plastic (super custom) mild port, shaved head tommey t-5's new paddles and wheels newer dirts new stainless brake lines. all new cables and levers. fat bars billet adapter. new wire harness and cdi. very good condition. located in S.L.C utah

yah well good luck with your banshee that looks just like every other one out there, and the title how to take the ugly out of your banshee, was meant to be more of a joke. this was fun to build just to see if i could put on and make it look good and in my eyes i did that. and this banshee was meant to be on a very tight budget since its going to my brother and not meant to be mine. if it was for myself it would have a few better parts. i think my yfz coming together pretty well. and a centermount pipe custom built, again just to be a little different.

well got some new bars and chrome toomeys and put it all back together and just finished jetting itand trimmed down the radiator shrouds, and other than the seat wow its nice to be able to move around easier and strange having it much smoother looking. and riding it around it sure cathes peoples eye and i have had alot of good comments. well i will start changing over my 98 soon, but for this one i will cut off the whole stock subframe and mate up a stock aluminum subframe instead.

just waiting on a wire harness, it was shot . and a few other little things then i will have it back together and running.
