  1. thanks for the reply who makes yours, dovyou like it and where can i buy it? thanks
  2. if your facing the back of your bike. on the left side the chain side, where the swingarm is connected to the frame there is a pivot bearing, a pivot bushing that goes through the bearing, as well as a chain guard/ sealer thats a circlular piece of plastic with groves where the chain goes around and a dust cap, then the pivot bolt goes through all of these parts including the swingarm. anyways im looking to se if they make an aftermarket circular chain guard or if i should just get another stock one? thanks for any help and let me know if i didnt explain the part well enough and ill try and explain it better. thanks peter.
  3. my buddy has a 250 quadracer blue and yellow color, not sure what year but its old. he loves it just like we all love our banshees.
  4. the previous owner may have ran it through some serious puddles and water may have got in. change the oil run it for a couple minutes then change again. run it and check oil. if its still milky then replace seals and water pump
  5. get a -2 you wont believe the difference esp if your bike has the mx style going on. wheelie alot better too which is always fun, lol.
  6. the older swinger is real nice except the skid plate tabs. ill be selling te arm. its a -2.
  7. ok guys ive been looking at LSR aluminum sprockets, and brake hubs. I noticed a company who makes the same parts, look the same but are quite a bit cheaper. are Boss aluminum parts the same thing as LSR or are they not as good? thanks
  8. im pretty sure the rear set up is around $1500 but pm washburn he will know for sure. as for my front end i will get you a measurement and a pic but its going to take about a week because im away from the shee. almost forgot when you get your front shocks go with dual rate. they work best for the banshee due to its shock length.
  9. wow nice looking arms bro. hey do hey make those in +3+1?

  14. Dont worry about cluttering my thread and Im not looking to trash HAVOC. Infact i thought jeff was great guy. the thing is he told me the arm would be real tough and great for trails. I told him i ride in trails w lots of rocks etc. the Havoc arm tabs failed after one ride. It wasnt even as tough as a stocker, not even close. I think they make great swingarms for dragsters not trail machines. i was alittle upset after they said once there arm is used theres no warrenty, i mean atleast fix the tabs because they were way to long. my skid plate was about 3 inchs from the ground. this havoc one is garenteed for ever. so yes you pay more money but we all know you get what you pay for. Also it was 300 buck more than havocs. again not looking for trouble but i did get a bit of a raw deal, but that such as life. you live and learn. fouledout in your case his arm works which is great. oh ya by the way you banshee is a real eye catcher all ways like the loos of it.
  15. i had the same problem. i was trying t find the set of a arms and shocks that kept me high of the ground. There are so many choices. i went with asr a arms and axis shocks dual rate. real happy with my choice. I went with asr because im always denting a arms on rocks etc and i didnt want to spend a 1000 bucks on a arms that were going to get trashed. i did go with some real nice shocks because i figured it was a good investment. my buddy runs lone star racing a arms and there real nice and keep you high of the ground as well but there expensive. he also runs axis shocks. i think he runs +2+1 i run +3+1. hope this helps. pm me with any questions. if you decide to go with asr let me know i have a pretty good relationship with mike over there. good luck. oh ya almost forgot to keep your bike high off the ground will be from the shocks so find a set that works for your conditions. for example i wouldnt go with an mx shock that has alot of sag because this will keep your bike lower to the ground. check out works they have some nice shocks for good deals.
  16. well in their defense the owner called me right when the swingarm got back from the chromer, which i thought was great. He said he was going to get everything together and ship it out. I then called him back and got one of the builders. I asked if he could rush it out today and use three day shipping so i could go riding with my bro before he moves back to virginia beach. Remember avenger is from california and i live in massachusetts. The guy actually said ya sure we will send it 3 day mail and we will pay for the extra shipping charges. Again something you dont see today. So the guy I was talking to shipped right out not knowing the holes where not cleaned out. So it was an honest mistake. I got it in three days like they promised. Probably cost aslot of money too. I then relized the problem after I talked to the owner and told him the problem. He was very apologetic and said I have two choices. First they could send me the tool if i felt comfortable to try and work on the arm myself but I would need a lathe which i didnt have. So i went with option 2 sent it back and they will fix it and send it back to me, they also said they would pick up all shipping costs. This avenger arm from looking at it looks alot tougher than the HAVOC arm. The skid plate tabs are 3/4 inch tabs built for desert racing. The welds are real nice. The Havoc one failed after i hit one small rock which ive hitten a million times with my stock one and nothing happened. Ill post soem pics of both when i get the new one back. Thanks
  17. good to hear a guy actually got something back fromhis wife after a divorce. score guy 1 girl 0
  18. thanks everyone for your advice. after talking w the guy who built it he said i should send it back because he forgot to ream the hole out where the pivot bearings go after it was chromed. he was very apologetic and told me the slightest amout of buildup will cause a problem. so i sent it back. ill let you know when i get it and install it. i do have to admit it was a real nice looking swingarm. welds where top notch and i got the 3/4 inch baja skid plate tabs. bulletproof. much better than the last one from HAVOC whose skid plate tabs where about four inches long and real thin. bent on the first small rock i hit, lol.
  19. i had to use the press to get the pvot bearings in. however once in they spun. next i installed the long bushing and that went in with out the press but it requirede a light hammer to hit it in. once in place it didnt move. i got the bushing back out but i doubt those bearings will be coming out any time soon. this sucks i guess ill send it back. hopefully they can make it happen fairly quickly and with out damaging the chrome???
  20. thanks for the quick response, Im just worried because on my last arm when i installed the bushing into the pivot bearings it spun freely. This one i couldnt even move it a cm. So i was nervous that the bushing rod and the actual bolt might seize together if the pivot bearings are not working properly. Then i would be really screwed. Anyways i just removed the bushing, not easy, with a hammer and maybe its just me freaken out but the pivot bearings dont seem to be rolling as smooth as before i installed them. I might just be freaking out, lol Also nervous that i will never beable to replace the pivot bearings because it took a heavy duty press to get them in???
  21. Whats up guys, well i finally got my new swingarm. 1.) My question is I had to install the pivot bearings with a press, are they suppose to be that tight, I mean what happens when i need to replace them? 2.) next goes the long pivot bushing that slides into the pivot bearings. This bushing had to get hammered in and wouldnt spin freely? I thought the point of this bushing was to spin on the bearings as the arm moves up and down? Is it because the arm is new or is it because something is not up to spec? any help is appreciated. I have not been able to ride for a number of months and now it looks like i still wil not be riding with t his problem. Thanks in advance Peter
