  1. Where did you get those hoses, I have been looking for some but can't seem to find any?
  2. Well i was out in the garage and i checked to see if there was an airleak and i relized i forgot to tighten one of the intake boots all the way, which was causeing the slow rev down It wasn't to bad i caught it right away, anyways i tried it out again and the plugs are burning pretty light brown and again i was only about 3/4 throttle in 4th gear. So i think either a 310 or a 320 is goin to do the trick. and yes everything else is sealed tight, the box uses 2 pod filters which are all sealed tight. Im also thinking im going to go to a 27.5 pilot cause it seems like it wants some more gas in that throttle range.
  3. It always seemed to be slow to rev down and i have driven like that many times with zero problems, my intakes are not in the best shape but there are no big cracks in it, i already ordered new billet intakes so when i get those and new reed gaskets so i will be sure there is no airleak in that area. where else can it leak? Im pretty sure its not sucking air from the head or the base gasket. Is there anything besides an air leak that would cause the slow rev down? I am goin to make sure there are no air leaks tomorrow and then il try some 320s and see how that goes. I wonder if this box will flow more than a stocker with no lid? Thanks for all the input
  4. Well i just put it together and tried it out with the 300s and its running really lean, the plugs were almost white and i only had it at 3/4 throttle.. I goin to try some bigger mains but im starting to think i might have an airleak somewhere because it revs up fine but takes it while to rev back down....so somthing isnt right...unless being really lean would cause slow rev down. besides that i really like the look of the new box...much cleaner than the ugly stocker.
  5. My plugs were nice and tan brown this summer with 300s in it and the temp was 10 15 Celsius. So your telling me that with the new airbox and the temps now at -10 or -15 that im not goin to have to increae my mains or pilots?? I figured that i would have to go up at least a few sizes on the mains and maybe 1 size on the pilots. I guess i will have to wait until the local shops open and go get some jets and figure this out myself. Anyone else have any ideas?
  6. Hey guys, My G/F got me a aluminum aribox from CFM on ebay for christmas. Now i ran a stock airbox with lid on and a uni and 300 mains, stock pilots, clips in the stock position and the bike worked fine, Nice tan brown plugs. So im trying to figure out how much i will have to up the mains and pilot? I know the only way to know is a plug chop (which i will do) but i was just looking for a starting point or any info from someone with the same airbox. Thanks Oh yah my mods are Fattys coolhead 22cc vitos reeds boss intakes stock carbs 66mm bore Its also around -5 to - 10 celsius here and im at sea level
  7. Do they make any graphics kit for the fullbores or do you have to modify a regular one to fit ?
  8. I'd be willing to bet that your frame is bent downwards where your steering stem mounts. My old 87 was damn near impossible to get out and my new 2005 slides in and out like butter. Hope i could help.
  9. Thanks for the reply. Im glad I don't have to shell out 80 bucks for domes that id only use a few times. Can't wait to put it on and try this thing out!
  10. Ok I recently bought a Vitos Hemi Head off of a friend of mine and it has standard(not big bore) 20cc domes. On the vitos website it says that big bore domes are required after a 65.5mm bore. Now the cylinders I currently have are at 66mm bore , but I will be repacing them in a few months wtih a set that are at a 64.5mm bore. So can I get away without buying a set of big bore domes that I will only run for a little while? What would happen if I just use the head with the standard domes? would it cause it not not seal right? Any info welcome ..Thanks
  11. What type of batterie are you using. Do you take it out and recharge? . I noticed on the website it says that the lights won't work unless hooked to a 12 volt system. so a small battery sounds like a good idea.
  12. Does anybody have one on their shee and if so how do you like it. I'm interested in getting one but would like to hear some feedback. Im also curious if it comes with all the sensors needed or if some of them are extra (temp, rpm ). Hopefully there not junk cause i wouldn't mind having a temp gauge, rpm, speedometer all in one. Any replies welcome
  13. Had to do the same thing on my 87...worked great tho
  14. Right on thanks for the quick reply. Is there any pros or cons with the hemi head vs noss or prodesign or are they all the same?
  15. I just picked up a used Vitos HEMI HEAD and I heard that pro design domes will fit , Can anyone confirm this? Also i already have studs for a pro design head, Will these work for the Hemi Head? Any info would be appreciated.
  16. I have a good stock stroke welded crank I would trade with you.
  17. Thanks for the replys guys... well I guess I just give them a call. BenBB Im gonna have a few questions for you about your front end once I get all my parts in and those shocks fixed, Im doing something similar to your front end
  18. I just picked up a set of triple rate works shocks for a project I have going on, but the shocks are missing the 2 top bushings and one bottom spring retainer. I have E-mailed works a couple times now to see if they sell these parts, but I have yet to get a response. So I wanted to know if anyone on here knows how I could go about getting these parts?
  19. I have run stockers, razers, holeshots, and after i tried the knarlys I'll probaly never buy another set of tires. They seem to work pretty good in all kinds of conditions, I ride everything from trails and mud to pits and pave and I am Happy.
  20. I've had mine for 3 years now, I don't have any before pictures but imagine a stock 87 that was beat and neglected for the 17 years before i got it. First year Second year Last Fall And it is still in the works, I'll try and post up some pics of how it sits now, ihave changed a few things over the winter. Here is my buddys 2003 that we rebuilt this winter before After
  21. Your sprocket hub is only a 4 bolt on your 87, Im not sure what year they changed but the newer ones are are 6 bolt.
  22. Well i have a 87 and im 99% sure the hubs were never changed out for newer ones, and i can put my buddys rims off his 03 on my 87 and they fit just fine. The sprocket hub was different then the newer ones. It was only a 4 bolt but I have since upgraded to a newer rear end. Hope this helps.
  23. I have a +2 from them. I don't MX with it but it has stood up to a pretty good beating so far in the pits and trails.
  24. I ran a set of nomads that a buddy gave me one summer. They gripped pretty good for being worn down. I used them in the local gravel pits and they worked better then any knobby in those conditions. I put them on my girls yfz this winter and they arnt half bad in the snow either.
