  1. Im running an Eric Gorr port job. Motor was just redone by Jeff at FAST racing. Should have had him do some more work but funds were running short. What carbs should I get for all those guys that have ran a Gorr port jobs. Current mods Gorr Port T5 pipes V force 3 Reeds Noss Machine Cool Head 20cc 150psi compression Timing advance 4 degrees K&N pods Welded Crank Stock Carbs 340 or 350 mains? 27.5 pilots, Toomey needles I still want more power. I considered droping to a 19 or 18cc coolhead but figured carbs would probley give me a bigger power increase. I run 50/50 c110/91 pump premium. 40:1 premix.
  2. You could get a custom shock longer than the standard yfz shocks. I thought you had already done this guess I was wrong.
  3. I dont understand why anyone would switch from 21 to 22" tires. You will only gain 1/2" with that change. If you are that concerned with the height then get custom shocks and you will have the best of both worlds. More clearance and the ride you want............
  4. Bump First 50.00 takes them
  5. Wow I didnt realize just how much farther down I could go. I have mine down about the same as yours now and it already looks alot better and feels better. This looks like its going to be a pretty sweet deal after all. I just have to get my tie rods now. Thanks alot and I will let you guys know what I think once I take it for a ride next week.
  6. Turn on - Gorgeous and good body Turn offs - Fat Chicks, ALL FAT CHICKS.
  7. Hey I really appreciate the help. I will try adjusting mine down further to match yours more and see how it looks. If not then I may just buy some banshee arms and run the yfz shocks on them. I really need more ground clearance with the kind of riding I do. Thanks alot.
  8. I am also curious about where most people have their shocks adjusted. I have my ride height adjusting nuts down about 1" and it still seems way to soft and and low for me. Where is a good starting place for the other shock adjustments too. My shocks are off of an 06 yfz and have white springs if that matters.........
  9. Factory 2002 front shocks. In great shape just took them off my bike because I did a complete 450 front swap. 60.00 shipped sounds good. Thanks alot guys.
  10. I purchased the spacers off of him and they are very nice also. Thanks alot.
  11. Bump. Come on damnit

    YFZ Spindles

I need a pair of YFZ spindles ASAP. Let me know what you have guys.
  13. Without a doubt! I am still trying to think of one good reason why it is not...........
  14. I will be pulling my upper a arms off next week to start my yfz conversion. Actually I will be pulling the whole front of the bike off including spindles and everything. Let me know what you think a fair price might be. Bike is an 02 and in great shape.

    YFZ shocks

Im looking for a pair of front yfz shocks and front yfz spindles. Thanks alot. [email protected]
  16. Stock banshee shocks are garbage all the way around. Even if the rear shock is rebuilt, revalved - its still a POS. Hope you get by ok.
  17. I dont believe the 450r shocks with work. I saw another thread a member started and his rezis hit the upper a arms under compression. From the pic he posted I dont see a way to avoid it. Let me know what your buddy wants for a set of those yfz shocks. I really wanted to run the 450r shocks but I just dont think they will work...
  18. Hey thanks for the link. Im actually hoping to find them for a better starting bid though haha. Anyways I guess I will try YFZ shocks I hope it works out ok cause im going to need the ground clearance. If anyone else has any feedback let me know.
  19. Thats what I was thinking as long as the shocks are as good as the yfz then it would give me a bit more ride height. Is the height really an issue with yfz shocks. I know they go for about the same price on the internet and such so which way should I really go. I know using the yfz spindles will help the camber and front end alignment and such. I am a 230lbs rider though and I think yfz shocks are valved for 220lb stock or I read that some place. I hope to be back down to 220 soon haha. Then again I am 6'3". Well what do you guys think. I appreciate all the help and especially your write up Mullet Man.
  20. I wonder if that has more to do with the shocks or with them just not set properly? Anybody else?
  21. I know the LTZ400 shocks are supposed to be about an inch longer so that would be a bit more ground clearance but how good are the shocks. I dont want to spend over 200 for the fronts really so I'm looking at either stock yfz shocks with rezzis or the LTZ shocks with rezzis. I won the arms and spindles, hubs off ebay yesterday so I hope to get this project underway soon. Already made my tie rods at work so thats out of the way. Really appreciate all the help and input into this from anyone with experience with this sort of swap.
  22. Damnit I was hoping to use the trx450 shocks on my a arm swap. What is better then the ltz400 or the yfz front shocks? I am still parts shoping for shocks already have the a arms and made my own tie rods. I want a shock with rezi and at the same time I want whichever is going to give me a bit more ground clearance. Let me know what you guys know. Damn Ive done so much reading the last couple days its getting to be hard to see lol. Better not bid on anything now!
  23. I agree with that 100% Shipping is dirt cheap and I have never seen better customer service anywhere and Ive talked to Dan, Eric Gorr back in the day and Jeff at FAST racing. Not to mention I just got my bike back from Jeff and I cant believe how much faster and better this damn thing runs. Talk about smooth shifting damn.
  24. The factory crank started to come apart on my 02 banshee but the tranny blew before the crank did. Found the crank about 1/4 seperated when I opened the cases. My bike had port work, T5 pipes and some jetting changes. Jeff at FAST racing took care of the whole motor and now the crank is welded, to say the least its a great piece of mind.
  25. Just got my motor in the bike and running after Jeff rebuilt it and did some changes to it. Damn this thing rips and talk about a great shifting tranny. I love it. Rode a friends honda 450 the day before. Rode my bike today for the first time. Night and day difference. I cant wait to get a tank of gas ran through it so I can really open it up!
