  1. I had the same problem. What i did was i bought some exhaust orings for a 125 dirtbike. They are a fatter oring plus the inner diameter is a little smaller so they dont get squished out when the jug and the header are "mashed" together. I also used some "copper liquid gasket" and made a bead around the exhaust flange on the jug. And VIOLA! no more leaks! Good luck Also i use the stock "seals" for the connection between the header and the tailpipe. They just seem to seal better then those fancy aluminum ones.
  2. Yes you need some on the base gaskets. I do a small bead on the matting surface facing up. Just make a bead where the gasket would contact the cylinder. Use Yamabond 4. That should be the one that stays flexable. Hondabond is a bit better, its a little more sticky. As for the head i have an o-ring type head so i cant help ya there Good luck Anyone else please correct me if im wrong
  3. Yah im using the ones form the complete cometic set. So "they" do make ones that are thicker but not a bigger diameter?
  4. Hey! I got some CPI's a couple of trips ago. They're great except for one problem. The o-ring that supposedly "seals" the exhaust, the one that sits in between the cylinders exhaust flange and the headers, always gets blown out? I dont know how messy liquid exhaust seal is? Or if anyone makes any type of high temp exhaust tape to wrap the flanges with to make a tighter seal. -thanks
