  1. No grinding what so ever. Installed as received. According to spec a .012 base is suppose to have the piston in the hole .005 also ... however with a .020 gasket, the deck is 0 to .002 positive.
  2. http://www.bansheedepot.com/products.asp?cat=59&pg=2 Scroll down. Tony Doukas runs the joint - has dealt with these cylinders for a long time.
  3. The broken pic.
  4. Looks like Pro-X/LA Sleeve
  5. Is this the correct one for a Banshee air box ? Seems like it may be for something else or mispurchased & was installed anyway - quite a bit of overhang there. I see 2 different parts listed - one for a foam filter & one for a K&N - how are they different - do they both choke the box like this ? Can someone verify that the correct filter adapter is like this please ? This one listed for a Banshee has a radiused inlet. While this one is not. Do either of them fit better than the other as far as matching the airbox exit hole ?
  6. 190 Ex - 128 Main transfer with ports cracked as shown - should be a way fun ride. 6858 with .020 base. 0.0 - .002 positive deck Base nut area needed a touch of clearancing. Ignore the lint
  7. Ahh ... yeah, guess it would've helped to be a tad more specific. Under the cap. Have made one before out of gasket material - but just doesn't seem to hold up as well. Looking for one of those "made for something else but fits perfect" sort of things.
  8. Anyone have a inside lead on a replacement for fuel tank gasket ?
  9. Another thing to consider - when I see this damage ... it's usually from detonation. What does the curves in your Dyna look/shaped like ? Timing ? When the rings were gapped, did the tips get *45'd inner & outer. A burr can cause the ring to stick (amongst other things) & comprimise the seal at higher rpm's. Ex duration ? 140 kicking comp with a ported cylinder on pump gas can be a factor... as well as MSV - measure again & confirm.
  10. You may be right but, I think that's what the forums are for. I had this thought ... it's recomended to run a pancake bearing & maybe a nice ball bearing clutch perch with a high performance clutch too, where does liability for advertising stop ?
  11. Cat-n-a-hat Ignore the oddities - camera tricks.
  12. Cleaning the kitty.
  13. Got a set in today from M&M - looks really nice ... outstanding cutomer service also. ... soon as I figure out why I can't load pics, I'll throw some up ...
  14. ... figured the serval was in this guys best interest ... so here we go.
  15. Should be seeing a 421 at the door early this upcoming week. Got some details to work out - but am excited for the guy.
  16. Thank you for the kind words. And thank you all for the replies. Experiment - lol - nah ... the 4 stroke stuff is fun, but we are still giving the oem cyl 4 mil a hard way to go at the track. Last outing was a 3.77 hosed. About this post - there is a kid up the road that wants me to make his bike faster, he reminds me of myself back in the day - Knows nothing about Banshee's & wants to be the fastest guy out there in the field, but doesnt want to give up any powerband - he can't comprehend why that is so hard to do - lol ... With the cub casted at 197/130 - I agree ... not quite the all around play bike - maybe a new casting is needed With this cat being young & highly impatient, he wants this done yesterday & is convinced all Ebay ads are in his best interest (again, we've probably all been there at one point) I advised him if he wanted a big boost in power, bolt up a cub & buy a 4-stroke for bottom end. That being said I (as you mentioned) thought I'd just bolt up some CPI's & be done. But I started searching good old HQ for the latest in the inframe world & noticed that there are a few more options nowadays ... at least in the near future anyway. So, if I can cool this guy's heels for a tad, it sounds like he may be better off ... I holler at the site sponsors & see what the skinny is ... A little more on what he is riding now & why he is trying to get it done right this time ... OEM cyl - 4 mill - V3's - 35PWK's - 24cc domes at .070 squish - the ports are at 198/135 & Fattys - lol - ...shaking head...
  17. Got a friend wanting to put together a play bike. A wide powerband is what is desired. What would be a wise choice of exhaust for a 421 as cast port timing cub ? Bike has v-3's - 35's & a set of Fatty's on it now.
  18. lol - Good Advise !
