  1. Ok guys I rode my Banshee all day and now the thing wont start. Im not getting any spark to the plug boots. Any idea what I should start checking? e.g wires from stator, CDI? I have no clue on the electrical. What are the odds of a stator goin bad? Thanks for the help.

  4. Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for a Banshee?, mines a 97. I was riding yesterday and it ran fine all day. I left to go eat came back and now its acting crazy. Theres no spark to the plugs. The guy who owned it before me cut a bunch of wires and junk, so I dont know what goes where. If someone could just tell me what wires should have current out of the magneta that would be great. Thanks.

  6. i know you guys get tired of this question, but i have been tryin to jet this thing for 2 weeks and cant get it dialed in... My mods are FMF FATTY Pipes and Silencers, NOSS Cool Head 20cc domes, Boyesen Pro Reeds, +4 adv. Timing, Trinity 2 into 1 with Keihn PWK 35, Mild Port... can u guys get me close? right now i have 180 mains, 48 Pilot, needle in 2nd from top. Where should i set the air screw and idle mix screw?
  7. Would a bad crankcase seal make it leak oil out of one of the cylinders?? My air filter is clean. Could it be that i need new rings?? I've nver had to rebuild it and its been a year since i got it. Thanks.
  8. My Banshee has recently turned into a B*TCH!! Heres the deal. It ran fine last week... i get on it today and its runnin horrible... the plugs are black and its blowin' hella oil out the left silencer. The oil comin out is real runny almost transparent. It seems to rev on the the low end but not go anywhere. I dont think its the clutch cuz i put one in it just a little while ago, top end is sluggish. I figure i have cracked a ring or something... Any ideas??? Thanks,

  12. i run a 16 oz. bottle of Yamalube to about 5 gallons of gas. My plugs are a little black, but the thing tuns like a beast. Any more ideas?
  13. i have a hellabunch of oil comin out of both sides of my exhaust right at my exhaust collars. Im not sure why. i just replaced the rings like 2 weeks ago. What could be the problem. Thanks.
  14. i just pulled the top end on my banshee to put a Noss CoolHead on and while i was in there i pulled the jugs to see what the pistons/rings looked like. i pulled the rings off and they look good to me. is there anything specific to watch out for? and if i do by sum chance need new ones where can i buy just rings?? Thanks.
  15. its not just carbon i know what that looks like, use to change top ends in my blaster all the time. i cleaned it and its in the metal. I also want to thank you for bein cool about me not gettin my domes the other day. you dont know me from Adam and u sent them out right away for me with no questions asked. I appreciate that. Thanks.
  16. Ok just got my new NOSS Head and domes got the stock one off and the chambers look like tehy have been warped or sumthin. It looks like paint when it gets hot and blisters. Why is that. Im goin to go ahead and pull the jug and replace3 the rings, figure its a good idea. And one more, do i nead a new head gasket to go on there?? Thanks.
  17. can the gap change by itself. i put my timing plate in a long time ago and its just started doin this. Im thinkin its got to be electrical cuz it doesnt do it EVERY time. Thanks.
  18. how do u set the float? This is really pissin me off. Needle is fine i jet main and pilot both ways and it still does it. As soon as i get to about 3rd or 4th and pin it open all the way it dies, just like i ran out of gas. Could it be my air screw too much air not enough gas?? I need sum help.
  19. It does not rev at all when it cuts out, its like it dies. Acts like i just ran out of gas (lean?) i went to the 185 now its more boggin like its loadin up. main is 185, needle is 2nd notch DOWN, pilot is 48, screw 1.5 turns out. I think i might be fowling plugs like a mug. Bad ring maybe lettin oil into chamber and soakin the plugs?? just an idea i cleaned the air filter and the carb. I think ill put the 180 back in it and try a chop again with fresh plugs. Any ideas.

  21. ive done all i know how to do. i even changed the fuel filter still doin it. i know it sounds rich on top but i dropped down 2 sizes and it still does it. Anyway it was lean an i went the other way. I did a fresh chop and they looked real dry and white to yellowish. I know that means lean. im gonna go up one sixe from where i started and see if that helps. Check my needle. i broke mine once and it made it run weird as hell. The best way to jet is by the seat of your pants.....
  22. shee' runs good until about 5th and 6th pinned open. When i let off just a little bit it will come back in. I thought it was loading up so i jetted the main down still did it, jetted down again got worse.... could this be in the needle or main?? I did a plug chop plugs are black. Rich right?? Reeds maybe, its been a while sincei changed them... thanks
  23. i have PT mids right now and one of the welds broke at the hanger and would like to move to some fattys, but i have powercore silencers already i just need the pipes. Anyone??
  24. i have PT mids right now but one the mounts broke and has a crack now so i have an exhaust leak. So shoud i scrap these for the FMF's or fix what i have? Basically which is a better pipe for my mods? LONG LIVE THE ' SHEE!
