  1. Brian, We continue to pray for Dawn and your family. When the doctors have done all they can step back and watch what God can do. Miracles happen everyday. We're pulling for her! Shane
  2. Laeger's is proud to present a new product line specifically designed for the Dunes. Laeger's DuneEdition a-arms are designed for the sand dunes and recreational riding. These +2" a-arms add stability and allow for better handling without the need for longer shocks, and of course they come with our famous Laeger Ball Joints. This is directly from Leagers site. It says you don't need a longer shock. It doesn't say you can safely run the stock shock. I hope this helps. Shane
  3. PCT, I don't know where you get that I think of myself as a suspension God or on a high horse. You base this on reading only one of my posts? In fact if you've read other posts i've made I stated the contrary. Everyone here on HQ that knows or has dealt with me will tell you that i'm normally a pretty humble person. You agree with Sanddragon on stock shocks and extended arms not being a problem? You yourself stated that they will be soft. What would happen if you removed the springs all together? The front of the quad would sit on the ground. So, if you run stock shocks and extended arms and do any jumping at all it is going to bottom out and/or dive hard when turning. Thats just simple old fashions common sense. It doesn't take a "high horse rider" or a "Suspension God" to figure that out. To me it is dangerous to tell someone otherwise. I never said that there weren't others out there that make a good product. Joel Janssen has a great arm for the money. Doug Roll learned from Mark so ofcoarse his stuff is great. All i'm saying is Mark Laeger is absolutely the best! Truthfully, I have no idea why you have not seen anyone running Laeger's arms in the dunes. It could be because Mark doesn't sell chrome arms and his colors are limited. Now a question for you, tell me why it was that even thought Mark never gave any of his product for free, almost every pro rider ran his stuff prior to the factories coming back to the sport? On the flip side, avoid American Star and Burgard products at all cost! It was wrong of me to attack Sanddragon in the manner I did. So for that I apoligize to him. Respectfully, Shane
  4. Have you run the WORKS shocks? If so, is there something they are doing that you don't like? Works shocks are a different system than anything else out there. If you send them back to Works, no matter what they do to them they will still be a Works shock. But, you are into them at a good price and if possible us them. Here is what we can do for your shocks. We change out everything on the inside of the shock (new valve, valving) and install the correct springs for you. When we are done your shocks will be as good as any aftermarket shock you can buy. The cost for this service is $450. Shane
  5. I'm praying for God to put a blanket of protection around your daughter-in-law. I'm also praying for you Brian that you will see the power of prayer and become more of a religious person. I also thank God for the pleasant surprise of seeing so many christians here on BHQ. AMEN! Shane
  6. Read the book of JOB. Its long and gets boring at times but there are many answers in it as to why we suffer. Shane
  7. Mark Laeger's is hands down he bests arm builder in the world. He taught Doug Roll and pretty much anyone else that is a player is this business. They are a bit more expensive than most on the market but I wouldn't run anything but. Shane
  8. Run stock shocks with any extended arm package? I'd buy that if ofcoarse you don't have a problem with plowing dirt with your frame. More of your brilliant BS! Shane
  9. The gold valve is an excellant option. The problem is the stock banshee shock is engineered so that is cannot(isn't supposed to be) rebuild. If you don't know what your doing you can get hurt or ruin the shock itself. We can help you just give us a call. There is never a charge for advice. Shane 219.313.1424
  10. Give me a call and we'll discuss the options you have on the rear rebuild. Shane 219.313.1424
  11. The rear shock can be modified in several ways. You can have just the rear spring changed out or a complete rebuild. We can do any modification you may need and your not far from us. Give me a call if you have any other questions. Shane 219.313.1424
  12. Sorry everyone! I haven't been able spend as much time as i'd like here on HQ but i'll check in as often as I can. I've attempted to attach a close up picture of the reed. This is the actual Banshee reed. We only run them on the stock cages. Banshee HQ members can purchase them for $100. a set. First come first serve as I believe we only have two or three sets at this time. I know the claim is hard to believe but I wouldn't sell them if I didn't believe in the product. There is really nothing more I can add about these reeds. Thanks for all the interest! Shane
  13. It is fact. I have the dyno comparison that shows it. I'd post it if I could figure out how. Shane
  14. It's pretty much like I stated in the first post, nobody is ghoing to believe the claim. I didn't either until we ran them in a 250R, KX65, KTM 50/65/250 & RM125. The power was totally different and much more controlable. It will be a week or so before we talk more about sending a set out for someone to test and review. We only have four sets total right now and because they are manufactured in Germany it is going to be a little while before we get the next shipment. The last time we had someone here review our product we got stiffed so we are going to be much more selective this time. They are going to retail at $69.95 a set (2 required for Banshee). We'll probably allow HQ member to buy them at $100. at least for a limited time anyway. Yes, we have a DYNO comparison read out available. I'll try to attach them. Our you can send a PM with your email and i'll send it like that. Shane
  15. Most of you know me as a suspension builder. We just took over as the national distrubutor of WOLFPACK Performance reeds. We didn't take this lightly. We took it to the track and tested it so we would know for ourselves that it did everything we were told it would. Most of you won't believe that these reeds can produce more power, more torque and use less fuel than Boyesen, Carbon Tech and V-force. We didn't either at first until we took it out and tested it. Time after time, in Quads, dirt bikes and sleds it consistantly proved to out perform the other majors. Ever more than that it changed the way the power came on. It was much more controlable similar to a four stroker. These reeds are not being mass produced and the supply is very limited right now. I just wanted to let you all know they are comming available. In usual form and because you won't believe it until it is proved to you, we'll be setting someone up with a set of WOLFPACK reeds and let them give you a review here on Banshee HQ. These reeds are not for the full blown monster motors. They will work in them and product incredible power but will eventually break under the pressure like all the rest of the reeds out there. We can and will soon offer a special order for those with monster motors. These motor require a different material. Thanks, Shane
  16. It still has the bog at 6750 rpm that two strokes are known for. Believe it or not, the boyesen will out perform the V-force.
  17. Every reed out there will break in a monster motor. Monster motors need a special cut reed. We make them out of a real thick glass material so they can hold up against the extreme force (250 to 300 psi)
  18. Or could it be that the person doing the conversion has figured out a better valving than the "Fully dedicated aftermarket shock" builder. What are the limitations of an OEM shock? If the travel is the same then the only limitation is adjustability right? ( We can even increase the travel of a stock shock) If the valving is spot on then adjustability isn't really a major factor! Your opinion is probably based more on logic than experience. Logic would say that if we spend $900. to $1200. versus $285. to $450. the more expensive must be better right? I'll have to admit that I felt the same way about suspension until I got into building and converting them. Now I can safely say I'd put my converted suspension up against any aftermarket suspension. What the aftermarket suspension gains in adjustability it loses in price comparison. Thanks, Shane
  19. The "DUNE EDITION" shock that Elka is advertising is nothing more than a shock that is sprung and valved to give a plush ride that duners are normally looking for. MX set-up may be fine for some but generally those that ride the dunes are looking for plushness. We rebuild the rear shock to give them that at far less cost than purchasing a new aftermarket shock. Shane
  20. Thanks guys! I appreciate your confidence in my suspensions! I'll agree with most of the guys here in that Todd at TCS is probably the most well rounded builder in the suspension business. I do quite a bit of business with him as well as ELKA. That being said, there are those of us that know a little bit about suspension ourselves. I've had a pretty good response to the work I have done. So far I haven't had an unsatisfied customer. Thanks again everyone! Shane
  21. The noise is not normal and should be checked out before you ride again. It could be any number of things. The good new is there isn't that many parts involved. Take the shock off and move the arms around. As was suggested, grease the mounting points. If it continues to make that noise afterward then the shock is probably bad. Shane

    YFZ fronts

I have a ton of YFZ shocks comming that people have traded in on new ELKAs or TCS. Some are brand new off "06" and "05" model. I'll need between $200. and $300. for them depending on the condition and model. I'm going to hook you guys up first before they are Ebayed. Send me a message if interested. First in line gets first choice of what comes in. Shane 219.313.1424
  23. There is no conversion to triple rate for the YFZ front that is worth taking someones money for. I've heard other are doing it but the improvement is not worth the money. 24. I can rebuild your shock as long as it hasn't been beaten to death. If just recently blown stop riding on it now or it won't be rebuildable. Shane 219.313.1424
  25. Thanks for all your interest! I'm going to start testing with BBlueBanshee hopefully next week. We'll let you all know how it is going. I'll be biking around the country 6/30 thru 7/6. I'll try to check in from time to time. If anyone needs anything you can call and leave a message at (219) 313-1424 and I'll get back with you. Take care all! Shane
