meh its hard to give an exact time, im guessing 4-6 hrs i think thats how long I have gone while at the dunes (where its going to suck most of its gas). I could be wrong...It also depends on what mods are on it etc.
-
they probably run with the rest of them...idk if youre goin for 660 raptor, i would advise go with the polaris predator, they run about the same price wise but the preddy will out run it. But I would take a fo fitty first...they all get relatively the same mileage... if you are extrememly hung up on mileage go buy a suzuki LT 160. If you want the ride of your life with a ton of hp and dont care about mileage get a banshee...
-
Well, right before i got my banshee I had a 400ex...from my experience i go thru about twice the gas on the shee compared to the 400ex....if you are lookin for mileage I would be lookin into 4 pokes....

I just got done putting togeter my own temp gauge. I got the gauge itself from autozone. It came in a pod of 3. I decided to get those three rather than a single gauge because this one was a 1/2" smaller in diameter than the smallest one i could find. Including brass t fitting, the hose clamps, and the hose I payed about $35 installed. I have a light i need to wire in but i havent done it yet, but here is a finished product...

I just bought a temp gauge yesterday. Will the gauge suck up enough power that it will kill my stator? thanks

LOL sorry if I caused confusion .... obviously a powerband is not a tangible item....I hope I havent lost the faith of you fellow HQr's, I don't know everything about the engines but I do know enough about 2-strokes to know that a powerband is an rpm range where the engine really screams.
-
My buddy was telling me to make sure that I put the powerbands on in the right direction, and he also said to make sure that they are timed correctly with the carbs, if not the crankshaft might blow a gasket. Can anyone help with this?

I called Alba last saturday, telling them that I bought a graphics kit, and on the corners the decal wouldnt stick to the plastic. They took my info, type of graphic, name, phone #, and they said they would call me back on monday. They called back and they sent me a new set of graphics no strings attached. So now I have a whole new set. What an awesome company. I would definately recommend doing business with them.

I would go with the ITP Holeshot MXR4 Rears, I would go with the more expensive set first (the rear) and then follow up with the fronts later.

I put on my graphics the other day... and im getting really frustrated. The problem I have is that they do NOT want to stick in some areas. Have any of you had this problem? I sanded it down and washed it off like the instructions said to. They just will not stick. Any Ideas??

I've been to coral pink, Little Sahara and St. Anthony. St. Anthony is BY FAR the best dunes around, but I like little sahara best in utah. It has the most varied terrain compared to the other two. Depending on where you live its quite a bit easier to drive to Little Sahara compared to Coral Pink. I often drive down from my place, and go for a 1/2 day trip. Its really convenient.

I was searching on Alba's website and I ran across these graphics. Look here to see them: http://alba.buyol.com/Item/ALBA%2D020R.htm I saw the price and the looks, and I couldn't pass up the deal. My banshee has no decals on it other than the registration and two fmf stickers. They actually made a mistake when they were making the graphics. I figured I would pass it on if someone were looking for new graphics.

I was racing just to the right of the razorback...Ive just always called it the backside...is there another name for it?
-
well, I went down to sand mtn on the 12th of november. I raced 15-20 times I lost count for sure. I lost twice, both to the same banshee w/extended swinger, toomey t5s and alot more im sure. My favorite race tho was when I was sittin at the bottom of the backside, and 6 banshees pulled up. They were on the right end of the backside, and I was right in the middle. So me and a few yfz 450s pull up and we are all in a strait line revvin our engines. They all take off so I just dump the clutch, sending the banshee flying foreward. I shift into 2nd, 3rd, and finally 4th, and am just flying thru the whoops. I get thru the whoops all but one banshee and I think all the yfz's is ahead of me by no more than a bike legnth. I get thru the whoops, and I lean back, my front tires are just floating on top of the sand. I look over and I see that have pulled on everything but two banshees. I get about 1/2 way up and I passed one banshee and one to go. 2/3 of the way up we (me and the other banshee) are tied...3/4 of the way up i have bike legnth lead and I beat them all. I got to the top and I am extatic!!! Aww man I get the chills thinking about it. to this day i still can't believe it.

My buddy is looking for a rolling banshee frame...anyone got one??

I bought a 96 a few months ago for 3 grand heres what came with it... FMF Fattys / Powercore 2 silencers White bros boost bottle Wiseco pistons Pro design cool head Dyna fs ignition Outerwears shock covers pro design shifter pro design pro flow intake system I would pass it up, thats kindof expensive even for utah prices where im at ( utah is generally more expensive) i would hold off, you will find better

well, I went to FMF's FAQ area of the website, go to the link and read it for yourself. http://www.fmfracing.com/tech_faqs_detail.asp?id=45 From what I can tell, they are chromed. IDK any more input?
-
did you try puttin grease on the manifold, i have heard people puttin grease on their air filters. maybe its falling out because of that...who knows, just an idea.
-
well, to my knowledge they havent been chromed...is there a specific way to polish them?

I went out to Little Sahara sand dunes in Utah yesterday. I sat at sand mtn for a while, and i got a few races in here is the results: Banshee Vs. YFZ 450........Loss Banshee Vs. YFZ 450........Win Banshee Vs. DS 650.........Win Banshee Vs. Predator.......Win Banshee Vs. Predator.......Win Banshee Vs. DS 650.........Win banshee Vs. Quadzilla.......Loss 1 Bike Length banshee Vs. Quadzilla#2...Loss 1/4 Bike length Banshee Vs. Banshee w/ CPI in frame drag pipes...Win Mods include: FMF Fattys powercoreII Dyna FS CDI Mikuni 28 mm Flatslides Pro Design Air filter mount Pro Design Cool Head Wiseco Pistons I thought my banshee was pretty slow...(compared to other banshees) it was the first time that I have ever beat another banshee. The first YFZ that I raced was increadibly fast. It really surprised me. And the second YFZ I smoked. I was shocked that my banshee beat a DS, from a dirtwheels article i read, i understood that a DS would waste a banshee. What do these guys do to their YFZ 450's to get them to go so fast??? I know that they have to spend a ton more money to get them to go that fast. But what does it take and how much does it cost? Long live the BANSHEE I will take pics of my Banshee and post them hopefully tomorrow.
