I really want to put my 450 shocks on without grinding on the shock itself.
Could someone show me what they mean by slotting the lower hole in the a arms or Grinding the shock mounts?
I assume this is not the same as the DIY post at the beginning of this thread.
I would like to get one of these to see how well they work but I don't want to shell out much $$. I thought I would see if anyone had one they wanted to part with cheap( but working).
Here are some older pics from before I painted the frame and cases, and polished the pipes and silencers up. Everything is the same color, its just more clean now.
I am looking to get something a little more suited for trails. I only make it to the dunes 3-4 times a year so the banshee is a little much for the trails I ride. My bike is decently modded with about 40 hours on the rebuild. I am looking for a 400 & up 4 stroke sport quad. No Warriors Please. I would sell for about $3500.
I'm pretty clueless about the exact details of our transmissions, but I have a good mechanical background. So, I appreciate your help. This may be a dumb question but, You are talking about the sidecase on the right side , correct?
Okay, here is the situation. I was at Waynoka this weekend and I did a little Drag Racing, but not much (maybe 10-12 runs over 2 days). The non the last ride of the weekend I was swopping through the big dunes hauling a$$. I was in 4th gear ripping along and down shifted hard into 3rd as I began to slow up a big sweeping dune. I ripped through it but once I got into the open My bike would not shift. My shift lever will only do 2 things. It will go down into 3rd (but it stays down) and it will go up into 4th (but it stays up). I rode it back into the campgraound with no weird noises or grinding. What do you guys think I did? Is this going to be a huge job? How expensive do you think it will be?
Some guys told me it could be a shift Fork???
I headed ther ethis weekend and it is looking to be around 45 at night and 68 during the day. I bet in a few weeks it will be pretty miserable at night.
What's up with all the smart a$$es. Come on guys , I ride a Banshee because I love the power. But it is intermittantly sputtering and I have tried everything except adding a boost bottle. I thought it would be something cheap to try since I have already gone through all the jetting changes and there is still a slight (very slight) sputter out of some corners. I know how most of you feel about the boost bottle so I don't need your $.02. Thanks anyways.
I know, I know. Everyone thinks that they are crap. But I want to find out for myself if they are worthless. Is there any application that they are usefull with. I have this slight hesitation in my low to mid that I can't seem to get rid of. I have already gone over every change I could make on the carbs. Now I want to try something else. Not sure if it will help but my jetting is spot on and I can't figure this out. It is a very intermitant hesitation, not always there. It is also very small when it happens but it anoys me. I figured maybe a boost bottle will help that.
I am looking for a polished boost bootle and some pod airfilters with pre-filter in excellent shape. Not looking to spend much but I want these in a hurry. Need them on my bike in less than 2 weeks.
I have some pretty extensive port work done so would I be better off going with 30mm. I just no very little about these slight difference in sizes of carbs beyond the obvious (larger carb=more fuel/air).
