  1. so when the bike if going at a slow speed or starting off it bogs, then it seems like once you hit a certain rpm some1 hits the thing with a sledge hammer and the bike rips but once the revs go down it bogs again, that sounds more like an air leak? thanks for the help man if you ever around boston let me know
  2. what should I spray with? a carb cleaner of some sort, also any ideas on a good starting point for my jetting
  3. I checked out the reeds and the intake boots when i put a new topend in the bike two weeks ago everything seemed in good shape, the previous owner said the reeds where FMF's but he could just been talkin (does FMF even make reeds)
  4. when i pull my plus they look lean (white), I am running a foam filter with the lid removed, I am in mass, so my elevation is relativly low, also I was runnign a larger pilot (27.5) and it ran worse with the larger pilot so I switched back to the stock ones (25) where it ran a little better thanks for the help keep it comin
  5. my bike is a 99 it has FMF Fattys with powercores, vitos superstock pistons with a new top end bored .040 over, right now the bike has 340 mains the needle clip set 1 slot leaner than the middle and the stock pilots, the bike will bog at low RPMs then hit real hard, any ideas on where my jetting should be at? thanks

I just bought a 99 Banshee, and once I got it I decuded to start fresh and rebuild the Top end, I got the Vito's superlite pistons and their recomended jet kit, The bike has FMF Fattys with powercores, it has a foam filter and the lid is removed, it also has a boost bottle, The jet kit they sent me has 340 and 330 mains with 27.5 pilots and new needles they tell me to use the 340 mains and the 27.5 pilots with the new needle in the middle, I set the bike up like this and the bog was huge the bike was not rideable, to tore the carbs back apart leaned out the needle one clip and installed the stock pilots, this improved the bike so it was almost rideable but it will still bog hard and usually stall from a start unless its revved up and dumped once the bike is going it will snap out of the bog when the revs go up and yank the wheels off the ground in fourth, also on my left carb in the float bowl there was what seemed to be a jet but there was not one in the right carb so I removed it from the bowl and that is how i am running right now, what is this jet? any advice would be greatly appreciated also where can i buy a jet kit with a large array of jets so that i can ride my bike again thanks for the help

Ok, Im getting sick and tired, and frankly at times, pissed off when I see a post of something for sale, and the seller (you know who you are ) provides very little info, or any pics at all, But will include this. "PM" me or "Email" me for info and Pics. No! Im lazy, and most of the time, very lazy, and I dont want to do that extra work, U made the original post offering this, so lets see it. And I know alot of you other guys are lazy also, cause were Americans, and America is very lazy. So you'll get alot more hits, and people intrested by giving out all the info you possibly can, and post pics when you have them. Sorry, just had to vent about that.
  11. How do Noss heads compare to Trinity heads? Nevermind the price, Im talkin about performance.
  12. Most of the riding that we will be doing will be trail riding with the occasional WOT run. The trails around my house are for the most part, tight. Im lookin for the best setup in terms of pipes, engine work or whatever to get the best out of the low end. Some things I was thinkin about was the Trinity 2 in 1 carb setup, Rocket Pipes (though they have been labled "Drag Pipes") or T5s, some porting work or strokers. Id just like to hear from you guys what you would recomend. Thanks
