This is a little off topic. Loboboy, just curious did you just sell a 2001 shee with axis shocks on ebay? With the nice shees on here, I really need to save some $$ up for some mods! Damn!

Hi guys. I have a question. First off yes I bought a Clymer manual. My buddy bought a new tusk clutch and installed it fine. However, we are having trouble with adjusting it. At the perch, I have it adjusted all the way in so the cable is all the way in. My primary question is when it is adjusted correctly the clutch should be fully engaged when the two arrows line up? Or should the one on the mechanism go past the one on the case? I pushed the little arrow in and when he turns the phillips clockwise I can feel it putting pressure against the clutch adjuster mechanism on the case. I know about the lock nut and the phillips screw. We played around with the settings but I wasn't sure what to do. I just want this to work out and make sure he doesn't burn up his clutch due to poor adjustment or waste the $18 for 2 quarts of oil. Please help me out. Thanks.

what does everybody do for a living?

Simple economics, if America keeps running this huge trade deficit like it has been we are going to be in some serious trouble and will eventually lose all our manufacturing to places overseas. Anyways, I'm a full time student and work 20hrs a week at Quinnipiac University. -
Thanks for the input guys, the IMS Roll pegs are a little out of my price range, but the idea of raptor or blaster pegs is really good. thanks, Jeff

Hey, I am looking for footpegs that are good replacements for the stock ones. I was considering pro peg nerf bars but then I heard that they wear down really fast. Now I have heard that blaster pegs work really well with a bit of grinding. I was hoping to find something that is a slightly wider profile. I was wondering if yfz foot pegs will bolt on with a bit of minor modding? I think the last couple years of the raptors had a wider profile as well, would these bolt up? If not then I will try to pick up some blaster pegs and get them welded together to make them wider. IMS pegs cost waaay too much!

I know this is an old post, but can you use the stock airbox with the trinity 2 into 1 kit w/35mm carb? Thanks, Jeff

Hi Guys, I was wondering if any of you know the length of a stock swingarm? Thanks, Jeff
-
Thanks guys. I guess I was just wondering about how much adjustment is in the aftermarket swingers? Do you guys know if there is a similar amount as with the stock ones (1 and 5/8th)? Also what brand of swing arms do you guys recomend or are the following brands pretty comparable? (Jannssen, Quicksand, Sanddragon) I'm afraid of getting my stocky shortened as it probably will compromise some of its strenth. As for length I think I'm gonna go with a -1. I do want to get a-arms in the future(thinking +1, +1s), but its not a definite as I like the Shee being narrow where I ride at and the $$$ involved. Thanks for the input, Jeff

I've used realtors, as a matter a fact they are mounted right now. They hook pretty well, not great on hardpack, but the little v-knobs on the sidewalls help hook around corners and get some decent drive. They work well on soft stuff though. My only complaint is in the snow where I thought they'd work like a champ they aren't as good as I thought. I have never ridden in the type of environment that you describe, but I'd imagine that they will work pretty well. They are a pretty long lasting tire too. Another suggestion is maybe try a pair of kenda's new radials, or klaws and just reverse them. They should work pretty well and klaws wear like iron.

You guys are shot, but I could barely keep the tears in from laughing so much! By the way I still can't believe no one put this caption up. "This one would receive an "A" if the assignment was to throw as much random shit onto a paper as poorly as you can. I've pissed patterns on snow that look more coherent than this." -
Ok guys I know this is an older post, but I have a question. I am considering a -1 swinger and would like to know if the adjustment screws are in the center when its -1. Therefore I should in theory be able to go shorter if I screwed the adjustment screws in and should be able to lengthen it slightly if I screwed them out? Are any of you guys running the -2s with the stock arms. I don't do that much dragging, just a lot of play racing at an area with a lot of whoops, and at a nearby small mx track that a couple friends and I built. I want more traction, more wheelying capabilities, and a hell of a lot better adjustment procedure. Of those that got new swingers with roundhouse carriers, what brands do you like the best. Sanddragon, Quicksand, or Jannssen? Thanks for the input, Jeff

Just curious, how many link chain are you running? I'm assuming you are still running a stock skid plate?? Thanks, Jeff

That was hilarious man. I could barely contain the tears and laughter at work. Sorry about the alarm clock. -Jeff

Thanks for getting back to me and sorry for the late reply. Stock Pilots and 1.5 turns on the air screws also.

How do the razor's hold up? I really like the square profile of them, and have been thinking about getting a pair. AAAAHHH, tire choices are overwhelming!!!!

what kind of oil should I use in the lower case

I've used ATF in my KX125 and just talking from the shifting end it definitely feels smoother and less notchy. To all of you that use it, do you think if it is changed frequently that it offers good enough lubrication/protection. I wouldn't mind trying it in the Shee too, but don't want to run the risk of killing the tranny or clutch. -Jeff -
hey everyone, Not to hijack a post but a -1 swingarm makes a lot of difference? Is it really that noticeable? With the stock swingarm, the shee just spins and spins, and hey spins some more. I do a lot of play riding and ride sandpits, a local homemade track, and ride a lot of fast trails with some decent size hills. I guess the best comparison I would want to make is would a -1 or -2 make the Banshee as wheelie happy as a Z 400 or an 05 TLD Predator? Also do you guys prefer Janssen or Quicksand, or some other brand? Thanks.

How much do you want for the stockers? Also are they the polished alum or the gold? Thanks, Jeff

Thanks for the offers. I just picked one up. Thanks again, Jeff

Hi, I've got FMF SSTs, pro flow kit w/K+N, and 21cc dome cool head. The weather is from the mid 20s to 40 degrees and I am nearly at sea level. Maybe 200 ft above at most. The box lid is on and has no holes. I have 280 mains and it seems to carburate well except maybe at about 1/8 to 1/4 throttle where it bogs down bad. Any suggestions are welcome. I just want this thing to pull hard and not stutter anywhere. Thanks, jeff

Hi, I'm looking for a pair of stock, baja, or ITP Grand Prix rear rims (9-10") with or without tires. Let me know if anyones interested in getting rid of them? PM me or reply please.

Hi Everyone, The thought of picking out a decent set of tires is overwhelming as there are so many damn choices. I just picked up a Banshee and want new tires for General Purpose use. It has realtors in the back which work great in the snow, but I want a lower profile tire for ripping around the track and trails. I primarily ride on hardpack dirt with the occasional sand pit thrown in for good measure. I want something that lasts a while. I have been thinking about several tires, GBC Shredders (Groundbusters now I think), Kenda Klaws, Gnarlies, and the new Kenda Radials. I want to get fronts and backs also and mount them on 10" rear rims(yes I know gnarlies aren't offered in a 10"). My thinking is that I would have slightly less sidewall which would minimize the amount the tire would roll. I plan on sticking with the stock 20" rear size! So I guess out of my choices above which one has a stiffer sidewall to prevent tire roll, which hook the best, and which is the longest lasting? Thanks. Jeff

Charger! If you get the Lexus you will always be wanting more power beneath your right foot. Have you considered the GTO though? 400hp and a slick T56 6 speed sound pretty nice. The 05s and up look good with the revised hood and dual exhaust exiting on "both" sides. Really nice looking interior as well as being priced better than the two cars you listed. Just think 0-60 in under 5 seconds sounds nice!

Hey Guys, I'm looking for a clean 1998 and up piped Banshee in or around the Connecticut area. I am willing to travel up to 200 miles if the Shee is worth it. Post here or give me a call (203) 735-8572. Thanks, Jeff
