  1. the dogs on the gears are cut at an angle so when you shift to the next gear it pushes the gear you where just in out so the next gear can engage..... if you back load the trans(let off without pulling in the clutch) the gear the ramp part of the gear is now trying to push the gears apart and the only thing holding it in is the shift fork and it usually losses the battle..... dunables add springs to the shift fork shafts that make the trans more forgiving and harder to bend forks but it is still a race trans and it will still bend forks if abused....
  2. yes... i have a 2-5 wcr in a 4 cub on alky and i also have a 1-5n down in a 10 super cub on alky......
  3. i run the extra long filters because if ya have ever started an alky bike with the filters off and rapped it a few times, you will see when the slide shuts a bunch of alky sprays back out of the carb.... i figure if i run the long filters i will have more area to draw air from even with the carbs spitting out alil bit of raw fuel on them....
  4. so ya go and spend thousands building a 10mill stock cylinder motor.... go out make a few passes on it and not a single person will believe that its a stock stroke motor.... save yourself the head ache and cost and go with a cub etc....
  5. you have to open up the top of the cases to accept the bigger bore cylinders... what you are thinking of is case trenching.... witch is needed for 7mm and up stroker cranks..... i have a 10 mill super cub with a 72 bore and the thing flat out rips! i love it! also like the fact that its a 521cc where as a 10 cub is only 465cc.....
  6. if its not running funny, breaking up or missing i am thinking you will be fine.... alot of the drag guys run the cdi next to the coils without issue
  7. 89 was the last year of the j arm banshees and yes its a common thing for the upper arms to bend like that..... there are a few companies out there that are modding the stock arms to accept a screw in replaceable ball joint.... hit up wheelman chassis i am sure he can hook ya up if interested...
  8. i second the ditching of the ceramic ball and adding a pancake bearing...... the ceramic ball has been known to shatter and mess up gears and such when the pieces go through the trans.......
  9. unless you really like changing shift forks i wouldnt be letting off the throttle without pulling in the clutch.... the dunables are more forgiving than a regular over ride but they still can and will bend forks..... i have been known to lift when in a big ol wheelie, but i always pull in the clutch when i let off the throttle for more than a sec or two and i dont down shift till i have slowed way down.
  10. thinkin i am gonna make a day trip with wheelman.....
  11. these carbs are setup to be used with a fuel pump, if you look at the inlets they are pointed down instead of coming straight out of the carbs, also the pumper carbs have a smaller needle and seats in them and dont work well when gravity fed. fuel pumps are nice because you dont have to run billet bowls or cut one float off like ya do with the gravity fed carbs. eric is a stand up guy and has some real nice stuff! i will vouch for him! if ya need anymore info on setting up a fuel pump or which one to buy etc.... feel free to pm me
  12. whats the head count upto?
  13. Bump um up I can bring these with me to silver lake this weekend (june29-july1st )to save people shipping. Pm me for picked up price if interested.
  14. wheelman, sara, myself and my girl are headed up friday am headed home sunday night.....
  15. Also, pipes by the cylinder flanges are not rusty... They are just dirty.... Havnt had a chance to polish them back up yet....
  16. Pipes worked great on a 4mill cub 10mill cub and a 10mill super cub... Went to two out the left pipes is the only reason I am selling them.... Will cut some a real nice deal if they are local and wanna pick them up....
  17. where are people planing on staying for this event? what camp ground i mean.....
  18. All top notch stuff here fellas! This motor flies I have rode it personally. Chassis is in awesome shape too! Will not be disappointed
  19. i am in thinkin my brother is gonna try and make it too..... he might even have his own bike to ride for a change lmao
  20. that sounds about right lol.... i know wheelman has some video of me pulling a 2-3-4 wheelie about 3 bikes ahead of the green and white bike last yr and i hear later on through the grapevine that it must be a slow ass 10 cub cause they where right next to us lmao!!!!
