  1. Long straight...and, get yourself about 6 or 8 spark plugs. His Jetting FAQ is excellent. But...read it carefully, his FAQ will give you a very close approxamate on the numbers...your actual bike might be a jet or two different then his "guesstimates"... It is fantastic reference, though!
  2. Well...if it's not electrical, I'm thinking along these lines. Straight line isn't putting as much load on the motor as trying to power out of a corner... It shouldn't matter much...but, it sounds like that's the next logical step!!
  3. Personally...even if you don't get the TORS removal kit right away, I'd disconnect all the wiring to eliminate that concern...
  4. Try dumping 3 to 4G's into a cub motor, and not being able to ride it for more than 20 minutes. That'll put a burr in your saddle...
  5. Really...by turning it from lock to lock...maybe the throttle cable is bound up.. But, if that's the case, normally it'll just raise the RPMs a few, not cause it to run bad. Hold on...just reread your post. WOT through the gears and you're on the main. Sounds like you're off now on the needle. Try the choke again...gets better, richen up the needle. Worse, lean it out. Moving the clip towards the blunt end leans it. Towards the pointed end, richens it.
  6. Pinched wire...maybe?
  7. Yep...as if we didn't have enough things to screw around on the PC...here's another one. http://addictinggames.com/zidaneheadbuttgame.html
  8. Yeah...notice the picture in his sig...and the fact he rides there just about every day. To say I'm jealous would be the understatement of the year...
  9. That's a damn good point as well, JT. I think I'm up around 7500 to 8000 into mine, including purchase price. When I bought mine, it was bone stock except for removed TORS, clamp on K&N's and a durablue axle. I thought if I kept stock carbs and T5 pipes on this cub motor it would be trail worthy. WRONG.... Don't get me wrong, it probably could be...but, turning a +6 swinger isn't easy...and you'd have to find wide open flat trails for it to be any fun. Like JT told me, we went to some trails up north from both of us. Just as the bike was getting on the pipe, he was locking up the brakes to keep it out of the trees. I've learned a valuable lesson. Hate to say it, but after this summer, I'm looking for a 450 4 stroke as my trail and play bike. With just a cam, pipe, jet kit and air filter, they are fun, fast, reliable...and suspended leaps and bounds better than a banshee out of the box. I'm actually surprised JT went with another shee for his play bike, but...he probably has so many parts laying around, it just made sense... My shee will be strictly a drag and dune bike, where it belongs... I saw JT's bike run before he put on a lockup, override and alky on it. It was flat out impressive...which concreted the engine choice I made, and the man to buy it from!!
  10. No shit...was just that way yesterday. Had to go to South Haven for a store visit. Took 94 there, and 96 back (that was a mistake... ) If you order pilots from Magic Racing, you'll have 'em next day, as long as you order by 5 PM or so. You'll pay about 6 bucks for shipping, and tax. But, it's better than waiting for the dealer to get them in stock...or waiting for them!!
  11. That's exactly right...that's why I said COMPLETE setup.... It's some of the little things that will get you, as red said. Why go through all this and not get a seal kit, replace them all. Crank seals, shift shaft seal, etc. Also...since you're gonna be making some ponies, get the heavier duty bearings for the crank. I already had a great clutch in mine, but...the stock basket. So...I got a new aftermarket (stronger) basket and new inner and outer for it as well. You're not just building a motor... You need the chassis (shock and longer swingarm) and the other odds and ends as listed to make it work.
  12. Stuff a rag to fill each cylinder. Cut a circle of cardboard to to the circumference of the cylinder, place one on top and bottom, then tape both ends off. Now....that's just my idea shooting from the hip. There are plenty on here that have blinged the shit out of their bikes. RNBRAD and BIGBOYBANSHEE if you guys read this...any tips for this fellow rider? They both have so much chrome/polished stuff on their bikes...it really scares me...
  13. You mean you put loctite on BEFORE you torqued 'em... Just kidding with ya boys...
  14. Yes, Banshee's pilot jets are different than most for stock carbs. Best to take those out to match up. badassbanshee479 is sending me back my jets for stock carbs. When I get them back, I'll let you know what jets I have. I gotta jet some bud's bikes coming up soon, but I have a ton of jets. Where exactly in MI are you located?
  15. Yeah...I call BS. For a few hundred more, you could have a Cub Cylinder, and is very capable of producing those numbers by just bolting them on. I do agree though, it does depend on your carbs and pipes.
  16. Yep...happens all the time, exactly why the castle nut is there. I don't have my clymers handy, but just torque it to spec, put the cotter pin in and don't worry about it.
  17. Flag in sig should read: "Butt Pirate Fag Racing"... :yelrotflmao:
  18. Him going out of his way would be an understatment....you have no idea!!
  19. You could easily spend 3500 to 4000 on the COMPLETE setup. Including new carbs, intakes... And I didn't see the mention of pipes anywhere. +6 swinger would be better.... Better paddles than what your stocker ran with. Clutch, basket, inner and outer hub... Have a reputable builder re-weld the crank, etc., etc., etc., All in all...I've at about 3500 or so with mine, and still not done. You can save a few bucks by looking for used pipes, used carbs, etc.
  20. Wishes he got there before the dog...
  21. Has a smaller dick than the stick figure in his signature...
  22. Might want to go longer than 4 on the swinger... But, if you match a purple powerband to a hotcam, it should be fine...it tames the power a bit more. Seriously...I built my motor this year, suspension and frame end of this year I think.... It just never stops....
  23. Drinks molson out of his tailpipe...eh?
  24. Wishes he had a Cheetah like the one for his avatar...
