1. No wonder I can't find that thread...

Shocking how quickly threads disappear these days,

    Matt,

Don't know how well you know that character, but it's only a matter of time before he screws over a member here.

    He needs to be gone....

This site prides itself on being free and open on speech, but it should also protect it's members.

He's a liability waiting to happen.

  2. Maybe it wasn't you. There were two back to back posts right before Rubberneck's post, with their panties all up in a bunch about how I don't drag race. I could've sworn it was you... my bad.

Negative... I've never deleted a post in all the years I've been here. Just edited a few because I spelled like a retard...

Actually...I was going to commend you on the post/thread that was deleted because of that dumb fuck Possum...what you wrote was pretty fair and even keel...

  3. Guys, my company just changed back from T-Mobile to Verizon.

I have over a dozen HTC Sensation's coming back in, have several of them now (some users are waiting for the iPhone 5).

**Edit. Yes, they are 4G phones, sorry..:) **

They had cases and screen protectors on since day one. Some of them I took the screen protectors off because they were scratched/dinged, but the screen underneath are perfect.

    All come with HTC chargers.

Nothing wrong with the phone, just don't have the best service for some of our users that travel outside of the Metro Detroit area.

Each phone is wiped and I upgraded each to ICS4.0 from HTC/T-Mobile.

Although I could sell you the phone now, I'm waiting on the final bill so I can pay off the early termination fees. I know you can just drop in your T-Mobile SIM Card and go, but I don't want you to have any trouble.

I'm listing them on eBay for 200 plus shipping buy it now.

If a Banshee HQ member is interested, I'll sell them for $180 shipped IF YOU gift it to me via PayPal. No fees saves me and you money....

I'll give HQ members first choice of case type and I have extended Anker batteries for a few of them.

They'll be ready to go in about 2 weeks...we should be getting our final bill and have it paid by then.

Let me know if you're interested. I don't know if they can be unlocked and used elsewhere. I can only tell you they were purchased and used on T-Mobile.

    Thanks....

  4. Im dreading to see what 112 for the shee will be

Shouldn't vary nearly as much as what you get at the pump. Specialized race fuel doesn't fluctuate with the markets like what's at the pump.

Thursday, it was 3.64ish here in Detroit, Friday, it was 3.95 or more. Sams club is always slowest to raise their prices. It was still 3.64 on Friday and 3.70 yesterday, I topped off...and waited and waited in line...

You would've thought they were giving it away.

  5. I was there with the quad to race in 2010, rain busted the racing. I will be there in the future with it for another try. :o

Yeah...that shit happens from time to time. Not like Sunny SoCal..:)

I've been a part of some mud bogs getting in and out of the races...

let us all know when you're coming out for a ride this way again...

  6. Both & the standard for asphalt is 330' for short runs.

Didn't realize you were racing in MI now a days...:)

I'd like both options, but prefer sand/paddle tracks.

But the East siders have more pavement tracks available to them now. Phils is it...within a reasonable drive.

I love WMSD and the crew/family, but it can't be done in a day...it's a weekend trip.

  7. http://www.psep.biz/...i_pilot_jet.htm scroll down i think these will fit?? the also stock a butload of other carb parts..sorry there not a sponser  but are a decent outfit as ive used them many times .. goodluck & let us know how it works out...

Banshee carbs have a different pilot than other standard Mikuni carbs.

Pauly, I can not, in any shape or form, see you needing SMALLER than a 25 pilot to feed that motor.

In all honestly, I think a pair of 28 or 33 PWKs would give you a much, much more ridable and tunable motor. I don't think you'll lose a thing, only gain.

Although there are some die hards....I'd steer clear of 34PJs. They are old technology and harder to tune.

Not to say they can't or wont' work...and they're desirable because of price, but PWKs for you is where it's at, IMO.

  8. Huh, that's funny. Wasn't it one of Matt's new customers (possum) that said Matt thinks every one in Michigan is a bunch of fucking morons and that no one here knows how to do shit, make shit, tune shit? Yet there he is runnin' good ol' Michigan product. Thanks Matt, for learning where to get the good shit and realizing that some fucking cholo in the back room of a greasy machine shop isn't gonna make you a quality part. Now, let's talk about that mark up......... Haha!

Even thought Mat Shearer and I no longer trade Christmas cards, I wouldn't believe a word Possum said now that I know his back story.

And I just checked the link, they're 398.

Now that I know they're made here, Joe...gonna hit you up when I build my next motor...:)

  9. And looking at your post count I'm assuming you create a lot of drama!

If you look at my post count, then look at the different forums...you'd find the majority of my posts were helping others.

I'm not going to deny being a part of drama, either creating, ending or enduring.

Your post just added a drama post count...for both of us. :)

  10. I got it going good on the stockers. I had the carbs off no less then 20 times.

Believe it or not it runs best with the stock pilots (25's), stock needles with the clip all the way op the top, 370 mains.

Massive torque, massive top-end, wheelies in 4th just giving it gas!

    Possible video coming soon

While I disagree you MUST have bigger carbs to make it work, it will work better with bigger carbs.

I put stock carbs and T5 pipes on my old 4 mil cub motor (35PWK and RDZ inframe on the way when I built it) and it ran and dyno'd fine.

I had 27.5 pilots and 370 or 380 mains as well.

You already know you're losing peak HP and torque with smaller carbs. But it should still run and run well, just not as much potential ....

I also agree with Windy, don't waste time with PJs unless they're given to you Paulie.
33 or 35PWK would be fine on that motor. I wouldn't put 39s on unless you wanted it to be a strict dragger.
11. I just put VF4s on my 50cc pit bike.

    It does wheelies now...

Honestly, I think any VF is an improvement over bone stock. But you could say the same thing about any single item on any bike..other than the stock grips...even then.

I've got a ton more to say...but the drama gets old, yes...I realize how that sounds coming from me.

Drama creates post count, no doubt about it.

  12. Just an update.... I dropped my main from a 158 to a 155 and it's a complete different machine. Still stoking a lot and blowing oil but not as bad. Didn't have room to do a plug chop on it but will be doing one soon. I think I still might be kinda fat.

Next time...probably a good idea to start your own thread, you kinda jacked this one.

I had to do a double take/read from the OP to your thread.

The OP...your plugs look good to be honest.

If you have time, pull the head. See what the piston wash and pattern look like.

  13. Well, I have searched through all of the back years of BBDR points. I found that he has won one race back a couple years ago, if there are more I did not see them. This year he has won 5 races in the 431 to 525 class with 4 race wins in a roll and one race in the open class. Something is different this year and Brad has said its the pipe.

He's won 1 race in all the back years of BBDR? C'mon...

I can tell you he's found the trick to get more traction via tires and setup, I remember his posting about it.

Look...you don't just go "winless" for years, put a pipe on and dominate. It's not that simple.

  14.

I want to be fair as well, but if one bike showed up at a track running Shearer pipes and outran 20 bikes running Sniper pipes for a complete season, the track conditions would not matter, Sniper would be toast. The track conditions are the same for Banshee 332 as they are for the Shearer piped bikes. Out of 20 Shearer piped bikes, you would think someone with Shearer pipes could give him some competition if Shearer pipes are better. If someone bothers to look at the point standings I posted, it would be hard to argue that Shearer is competitive at that track in his class.

Guess I am just getting tired of hearing empty accusations that Shearer is better than Sniper from stupid kids with nothing to back it up.

All I know is something has to be making Banshee 332 win, it has to be the Sniper OOF pipes, the Passion engine or he is just a very good engine and chassis tuner.

Ban421..you should probably stop if you haven't lost all credibility already.

You are claiming a pipe, and ONLY a pipe is making him win.

Look at Matt's post about racers making less than half the races.

What you're saying is Brad never won before the Sniper Pipes...which, he did win... and I can promise he didn't just start winning because of the pipes.

You have to step back and think about that. Any time you hit the same track, over and over and over...you're going to get dialed in better. A pipe is only one piece of the puzzle.

You are making it sound like the only piece of the puzzle.

Again, that's one track...one class. A very, very, very small sample size.

What do the big motors at this track run in comparison to the smaller ones? If the answer is not measured in tenths or greater per class jump, what does that tell you about the track?

A longer track, with good hook...will favor bigger motors.

I completely understand you race what you brung, you run the same track as everyone else. I get that.

But you're making it sound like this track and these pipes are the gold standard. They are neither.

It's posts like yours that really bring nothing to the comparison table. As much as you don't like kids talking smack about Shearer pipes and not backing it up...you're pretty much doing the same thing by taking such a small, small sample size.

You can rationalize that however you want...but you're wrong in the grand scheme of things.

If I run an 8 race series and use a boost bottle...and no one else is running a boost bottle. I dominate the series...and win the majority of the races...do I claim the boost bottle is the answer?

    No.

In essence, that's what you're doing. Even though we know a boost bottle does primarily nothing...it's the difference in other bikes. You're not looking or giving credit to tune, setup, etc. Just a single product.

    Very short sighted....sorry.

Again, I have Sniper Pipes. I'll continue to use them on my next build. I have my own personal and professional issue with Shearer's product. But fair is fair....that's all.

  15. It rolls off the tongue pretty easy for someone that has never seen a Sniper pipe. But facts from the race track prove that Shearer is not even competitive with Sniper. Banshee 332 beats down 20 bikes every week that run Shearer pipes, and has already won the championship in the 431 to 525 class with 2 races still to go in the season. Banshee 332 was the first to post performance gains with Sniper pipes and is now winning in dominating fashion. Here are the 2012 point standings for Blair Bedford Dirt drags (BBDR) in PA.

    Sorry Ban421.

You don't take results from one track, one class, one bike...and a questionable track at that (many people will tell you a HUGE motor will not go any faster than a small motor due to track conditions and available traction) then post it as bible.

And I am NOT a Shearer pipe fan...as evident in previous posts.

Think about what you posted...one track, one class...

It is possible for Brad to just be a better tuner, have a better setup, etc.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Brad winning plenty of races there before the pipes were even a thought?

I"m not bashing Brad, his accomplishments, Sniper pipes (which I own) at all. You race the track you're at...and he's doing well there.

This is the line that is false on the grand scheme of things:

But facts from the race track prove that Shearer is not even competitive with Sniper.

I am a believer in these pipes. That being said..they have to be proven on a bigger stage than one class, one bike, one track.

The bigger problem is pipes are a small part of the equation...there are a TON of other variables.

I understand your support of Brad, and at that track/class he's earned it. But you painted a very broad picture with nothing more than a very, very small paintbrush.

Not trying to be argumentative, just fair and complete...

  16. Stock CDI and Stock Coil, you can mount them close to each other. A lot of us just zip tie the CDI to the radiator bottom corner.

If you decide to go aftermarket Coil, you want to give them some distance. They can cause interference close together...

On my old steed, even though I had an aftermarket subframe, I kept the stock rear plastic under the seat (fenders 100% gone) I used the stock tool box location for my CDI and used a long Velcro strap around it.

That way, I could swap it out at the track if anything happened as simple as unsnapping the connectors and undoing the velcro. If you're still using stock rear plastics...just an idea.

Plus it easy to clean up the wiring since its directly over the Stator...

  17. can i ask where you came up with better cooling properties? how does solid billet, steel sleeve dissipate heat faster than thin nikasil, cast porous aluminum? the point is to get the heat to the water faster.

My guess is the twister has more coolant capacity...just by what I've seen of them.

    Could be 100% wrong.

  18. Glad you asked. I'm not coming down on the CP products at all they are proven, cost effective, and kick ass. I just like to put all the options on the table. Better cooling, Yes much simpler process to bore and hone over the plating, Interchageable intakes and exhaust flanges, Much larger transfer area than a supercub. Massive iron cylinders allow for long topend life before resleeving and a wide variety of displacments with out buying another topend to get more displacemnet (my 4mil is capable of 526cc at max bore) It definately is more of a proprietary item but I like it that way If I have aquestion or need advice 2seconds and i'm on the phone with louie the man who built it standing next to the cnc machine it came out of great customer support. On a personal opinion I love the way the topend looks its sick! in a world full of cubs, and cheetahs its nice to be differnt.

There are some nice differnces between the two prducts. Is it worth the cost? Idk thats for you to decide but there are definately other options besides the cast cylinders

    design

Interesting points indeed. I personally don't buy the bore/hone vs. plating. I see them as equal. One is cheaper and easier, but wears out and is softer. The other is more expensive, but it tougher and lasts longer...

    But again, my personal opinion!

I'm with you on the intakes and exhausts being interchangeable. That's a fine point.

I'm with you on the customer support from Louie.

I like the way they look as well.

I've been thinking Twister...but I just can't justify the extra expense for the other features/benefits you've listed. I've seen a few Twisters run well...

    Good discussion.

  19. Cub, Serval,Cub,Serval,Cub, Serval................Thats why I went Twister. It's another great option and offers a moutain of flexability for your build. Pricey up front but if your not a fan of the nicasil and want to look at all your options it has a ton of benifits over the cast cylinders but a higher upfront cost. Just my .02

Other than being able to be bored and not having to deal with plating, can you please list the ton of other benefits over cast cylinders?

Heavier and cost more...and it's more proprietary.

You can bore the iron liners and weld on them pretty easily....but other than the iron sleeve bore and hone vs. nikasil plating, what are the ton of benefits?

And don't get me wrong, I'm not a fanboy of CP...just looking for your reasons.
