  1. On a stock trans, all the gears except 1st gear, have 3 dogs going into 6 dogs. The 1st step to ANY trans mod is to mill out 3 of the 6 dogs on those gears. So, if you have a bunch of gears with 6 dogs, you have a stock trans.

Well said.  And I agree.  I just figured looking at a drum is the best/easiest "eyeball" tell tale of an override...

That...and if you say dog, and he went looking for a leash...LOL.

  2. Fuk it I'm calling out

    longWINDEDSHITYJOHN400wordsorless

I will have a buddy drop me, my ride, toolbox, 2 sets of carbs, and 3 sets of tires via Chinook helocopper to the BHQ ride.

Thanks for the drunkin PM on how to properly reply to a thread.

I'm new to trying to help people, modifing things, and intraweb forums.

This race will happen after all the others.

Ha ha ha...  F'in Paulie B., Hurricane Hanna style in the house.   LOL.

I'd be happy to give my Sniper pipes (Again, OOF pipes with removable/adjustable stinger tubes) to Joe2002 if wants to bring them to RDZ to dyno.

However, a small motor (400cc or less) is not what they were designed for, they were made for the 4 to 10 mil cub.

I would ONLY give them to Joe to take to RDZ's dyno and with stipulations between Joe and myself.

And it has NOTHING to do with not posting results, etc...I'm all fine with that.

Joe, if you're up for it, hit me up.

  3.

Now, what's your thoughts on this thread? Part of the reason it was started had to do with you.

I think there's a wealth of information here....and I've already congratulated you in the past and said good job.

However, as in the past, I'll stop of breaking my or your arm off from patting you on the back.

You are doing very well in 300 foot paddle tracks and have made great progress.  But I believe, and tell me if I'm wrong, you said in a few passes you'd be beating me at my own game...on sand.

Which...IMO, would have never happened   Now that you've had considerable time to put down passes on paddle tracks (I haven't owned a bike since 2010, and I think I only put down a small handful of passes last year on Wheel's bike) you've had ample time to do your homework and apply it to paddle tracks.

    Which, again...I commend you...

The issue is not what you're doing.  It's how you're presenting it.  And since we both have Alpha personalities, it's quite possible we just will never see eye to eye on everything, and may never get along...and that's fine.  We're probably too similar in personalities..which is why we  bicker...and neither of us are willing to back down.

You're making great strides...  but if I remember correctly, your posts made it sound like you were going to set the world on fire.

And in my opinion, you've opened up a huge door to clutch tuning....which is the next level.

But I still don't think anyone is setting the world on fire.

Agree to disagree.  I'm fully aware why you started the thread.  But now, like then, I still stand by my statements.

  4. I am waiting for the original recipient of those emails to give me permission to post them...

I have an incredible amount of respect for you, Dave. Probably one of the most, if not THE most knowledgeable, guys on this site. Rest assured that I would not make these claims without having seen first hand proof myself. I was going to completely ignore this thread until he went out of his way and called out Brandon, who mind you, has had NOTHING to do with this thread.

It's obvious that he's doing nothing but running his mouth like he has been for the last 4 years, making false claims and promises to get people's money.

The cat had to be let out.

Mutual respect Matt.  I wasn't trying to call you out, and I figured you wouldn't just pull that out of your ass.

But as a site sponsor and business man that's a big accusation....that's all.

There's a ton of guys on here that know a lot more than I'll ever know, I just post more...or used to.

I'm just lazy.  The terms do as I say, not as I do could not fit me more...

Chris, on the other hand, likes to put all the effort in and it pays off.  So...between him, badass, fouled out...and a few more MI brothers, I'm expecting them to push me.

(OK, fouledout was a bad example...he's lazy like me and just wants to put passes in...to pass time.  Then drink afterwards. Sorry Shayne, but if you didn't type that a few posts ago I wouldn't have let the cat out of the bad....lol.)

Our drinking buddies have a racing problem fits this crew.

I've had to do quite a bit of soul searching later on the direction I want to go.

Nothing but respect Matt.  That's just a big accusation and quite surprising to be honest.  Everyone wants to have pride in their build and talks some smack...that's a given.

    But this goes beyond that.

  5. I really did want to stay out of this one, really...I did.  But hey, first time for everything...LOL.

I have a set of Sniper Pipes.  I believe in them based on my conversations with Gary and the quality build of the pipe.

Does that mean anything?  No.  They could be whipped cream on horseshit.  Paper weights...I can't testify one way or the other.

If they perform like they look with the quality I've seen put into them, they'll be great.  But I can't sit here and argue with any of you how they'll perform because I personally don't know.  1 pass, popped the top end...then got out of the sport for a minute.

But at least I can say I own a set...more than many people can say.

I'm probably going to piss quite a few people off here, but...hey, that's never been an issue with me before.

Matt.  Serious accusations of bribing and hush money.  Proof.  Concrete first hand proof.  If it's truly your goal to destroy them, you've made the accusations...time to put up.

If not, you'll be in risk yourself of becoming a joke.

I'm not saying you're right or wrong.  I'm going to try and stay neutral in all of this.  But you've said it twice.  Once on the accusation, once again saying he didn't dispute it.

    So...1st hand knowledge proof please.

Gary, I believe in your knowledge and your product.  But you seriously couldn't have gone about this any more wrong.  Wait, you could've told Loco to go fuck himself, that is possibly the only thing you could've done worse.  It would definitely bring a whole new level of shit storming to the thread, that's for sure.

If you want to prove your fast, throw out your dune racing.  Period.  Dune racing is fun...and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.  But it's more a question of the size of your balls and mouth than true tuning and building skills.  And please don't bring a wheelie bar to the dunes.  That's like bringing a 6 pack to an AA meeting.  Unwritten law...

You can't lay claims to being fast and then ask everyone to come to your backyard so you can prove it.  You have to take it to them.

Since Planet Sand doesn't hold races...the only thing I can tell you is visit the 2 or 3 biggest tracks and go there and prove it.

Green and Bryan, you guy tell us the fastest and biggest races on both 300ft sand/paddle tracks and pavement.  Onus is going to be on you to take the game to them, Gary.

Again, I believe in your product, but you've gone about this the wrong way.  Any time you call someone out, they're going to point to your failed call outs.

Here's your target.  Jason Menz.  400cc light bike that is probably the best pound for pound bike out there.  He's a southern boy...so somewhere in your neck of the woods.

You build a bike to compete with and/or beat that bike/combo...you would shut everyone up the next day.  No questions asked.  He's the target.

Speaking of light, I'm actually with Gary on this one.  Here's one thing I can promise you.  I can build the fastest 10 mil cub in the country...but my 250lb ass will NEVER take first place in the big stage.  (Hypothetical situation all the way around, I'm not saying I build the fastest bike...I know some retards that can't read may go run off and say that.)

    My point is weight.

This sport is never, ever going to progress without real rules (sniffing a gas tank is not how fuel is checked) and weight regulations.

At the top level of this game, 10 lbs is huge. Period.

And just to be 100% clear on all of this.  I'm NOT a fan of Sniper because I have some hidden agenda against Shearer.  I used his pipes for years and they absolutely perform.

I have my own build/quality issues with the pipes I've run in the past, and we agreed we both could have handled it better.  So my opinion of these Sniper pipes is not based on angst or hate towards Shearer.  I've NEVER said his pipes don't make power.  They do.  I'm not grinding an axe here.

But Gary, if you want to beat the number 1 pipe builder (let's easily say that Shearer, for drag racing purposes, is just that at this point in time) you gotta take the show on the road and the game to him.

What you have here are a very few people that have been down a track.  But you have a whole slew of people who have hot lapped in the dunes.

Rarely do the two ever meet.  What wins at the track is what sells for the dunes, NOT the other way around.

Again, nothing wrong with dune racing.  But dune racing is like dyno racing to me.  Lights and timers get it done, not seat of the pants and balls in them.

I can promise you this.  The fastest builders in the country do not post or ask about it in forums.  Quite a few rarely go on forums.  They go to the track.  And get it done.

A well known track with pretty widely accepted rules...not back road, back country rules.

Just my thoughts...take it for what it's worth.

  6. Have a 2 month old Walkera Mini CP with Devo 6s transmitter.

Impulse buy.  Flew it a few times, mostly in my basement, bored....

May trade towards a bow.  Looking at Bowtech Assassin or Diamond Outlaw bows only.

Obviously, I'd kick loot for the difference.

Looking for $250 shipped via FedEx, gifted as Paypal.

The battery leads soldering to the RX (Receiver board) are junk from the factory, so re soldered leads and hot glued them for strength, a very common mod for any of these RC Helis.

Not interested in any other bows at this time...or other trades.  Then again...can't hurt to try, right?

Comes with all you see in the pictures. Custom case, extra parts, touch screen transmitter.

  7. It looks to me like the motor is not happy at peak. From 10-11k the curve little variation indicating that the motor is struggling.

Very well could be timing or compression...

It could also be tires slipping or a slipping clutch.

  8. How much cushion is left on those seats? It's probably just me but seems like it would be hard and a 6' guy may have his knees touching his elbows. Don't get me wrong fellas I'm not knocking the seats just need to figure out what style to go with.

I'm 6ft.  I've run a drag cut seat...if you don't have an issue with your knees now, you won't with a drag cut either.

    TRAVIS...holy shit you're alive!!!!

  9. Got a set of same side big bore small flange chrome shearer oofs I had on my 4 mm cub. Went to a rigid frame and the pipes hit... See if someone wanted to trade for a set of each side oof pipes

Holy shit you're alive!!!  Good luck on the trade!!

  10. In lost, who is talking about a serval? And why would Rob try to sell me one of his setups if I already have one? OP said he has Athena cylinders which is what the "RDZ Eliminator" setup is, just with alot of porting. So I guess my question is what we're you trying to get at lol?

    bro....I am TOTALLY sorry.

I've been replying to this and a 10 mil cub or serval thread elsewhere....  I clicked on the wrong email and replied to the wrong forum.

I thought you were responding to a 10 mil serval only making 96HP on alky....that's what struck me wrong and made me say huh???

Sorry brudda...please disregard my statement. Wrong post...wrong reply totally.  If you'd like, I can delete both.

  11. They need ALOT of porting to make any power, I have a set rdz did, and with all the porting he did I could only get 96hp out of them on the dyno on alky.

I Have a hard time believing that.  I believe you and your dyno run, but you can actually port a set of servals to mimic a cub and make the same amount of power...

You realize RDZ has a product in direct competition with the serval cylinder, and he also has NO relation and a big issue with CP Industries, right?

Did RDZ try to sell you one of his cylinder setups?

  12. I have to be honest, it's a good idea to get the trans cut (not full on override, but at least dog removed) to get it to shift.

Once you start making that kind of HP...  in my experience, you may find stiff ass springs to hold the power, but it normally will shift like shit.

If you're gonna have it apart that far, address the trans now.

  13. Im over in Benzie, theres not many ORV trails but theres some good two tracks and seasonal roads. I heard thers some good trails in Baldwin by peacock ltd, havent been down there myself. But I would be down for a group ride somewhere

Thank you...that's the trails I'm talking about.  It's a 10 to 20 minutes away from Cadillac.

Baldwin has two trail loops...one is about 37 miles, the other is less than half that.  I may be off on that a bit.

But I've rode them, big loop...and it was an absolute blast.  Most of it is open and can fit two full size cars next to each other side by side...

There are a little tighter, more technical areas...but I'd say the majority is wide open, fireroad type stuff.  Lots of 5th gear sliding.

They keep them in pretty good shape.  I was last there the weekend after a big ORV party, and they groomed the trails before AND after the event.  So we had freshly groomed trails.  It was nice.  Dusty, however...didn't have much rain at all.  Dust was my only complaint...whatcha gonna do?

I was off on my numbers a bit guys...the loop is bigger.

Here's some details on it for you.

    http://www.fishweb.com/recreation/orv/reports/orv-baldwin.html

  14. im gonna be moving sometime around mid to late january.  its no big deal if the riding in the area isnt the greatest....our cottage (where we always ride) is in mio which is gonna be like 33 miles away from us now hahaha

Have to hit you up when we wanna trail ride...:)  There's a bad ass big loop outside of Cadillac.  I'll have to find it...
