islandsurfer replied to islandsurfer's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I called the dealer I bought the SHEE from and they are looking for the guys number to call him and get exactly what he did to the SHEE... After i find out, I will decide...Nobody has really answered what i asked yet though -
I ordered a 14 tooth for the front... This should help then???

I have dual 35mm trinity carb w/ manifolds and would like more low end grunt for trails and MX... Will it be worth it to swap or sell what I have now for the single carb set-up??? Or will the set-up I have now be better for all around riding??

When I raced last weekend I couldn't shoot out of a turn like I needed to... I bought the the SHEE used so I am learning more about each time I clean and ride it... I noticed it has a 17 tooth front, what should I go to to help me out...17 front 42 rear and 22"tires... I want to be able to pull harder on the lower side because the track I frequent is a tight track and I ride a few trails too... Thanks

Good to hear everything worked out in the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright... 4th time ever on a quad in a MX track ever... First moto on a canyon jump I went off the side and got sucked under my left tire, and push the Clutch lever down... But I had to finish for myself... So as I painfully still go around the track while having to reach over the bar to use my clutch, I finished 3rd...2nd moto, I bogged and almost died at the start had a pretty good run and came in second...What a GREAT day.... The track is tight and I need to get use to clutching more... So not only is my whole body sore, I also have gashes in my arm from when I went off the side of the canyon... I lost to a Z400... Oh well I will get him next time...

I don't care what any body says... My SHEE is great at what I think it is great at.... It's as good as my poor ass can afford to make it... -
I measured the carbs accurately and the size is 35mm... Big boy Banshee: I changed my plugs and now both sides work.... I had to play with the idle screw about 2 1/2 turn out and now it idles... how do you now if its to high??? the air screw I turned out 2 1/2 turn also, now I have to do a plug check but I don't have anywhere to open it up to 6th gear any suggestions??? Could this be moved to the jetting forum.... Thanks

It can modded to take the YFZ... But it will depend on whether you can take a YFZ...The SHEE will do her part, you just have to do yours.... -

So if I goto a 45 for the main it won't run so rich and will idle?? It spit globs of oil out the back and the plug was wet and black... Thanks, also where can I get a pilot jet?? does come in sets or can i get it seperate??

I have a question.... I have 22" rears and stock gearing, I want alot more low end grunt for MX and trails, what should I get?? I opened the spread sheet and I noticed it lower the front , the lower the speed... Will going down a tooth in the front and up a tooth in the rear give more power to the wheels on the low side or just make me shifter more?? Will doing this relieve alot of the clutching I have to do in the turns?? THANKS
