ive been messing with my jetting for a long time now, and i cant really seem to get it dead on. So i was talkin to my buddy about my problem, (running grezt down bottom, and having a slight to medium miss WOT) and he said he went through the same thing. What he told me was that he didnt have the right number of OHMS in his caps, he said it should be anywhere between 5 and 7 i think and that on one of his he had a zero reading and on the othere he had 1.5. I was just wondering if neone hads expierenced this before and if its a common problem

I KNOW lol!!!! something is definatly FU*KED up, and no it isn't welded to the arm cause i had it out about six months ago, i believe the problem is that the bearing is totally messed cause there is a lot of grimey metal coming up through and i can feel in the arm itself that is all rough and pitted up, i now have the motor out of the bike does ne have ne ideas i dont really like the idea of a dremal tool cause i dont have that steady of a hand ???????????????????

Hey!! fellow HQ'ers It's been a while since I posted havent done a lot of ridin this winter, for one i gotta get some new rears, and th shee is bein a bit of a dick when it comes to idleing. when i start it up it idles fine a bit high but that can be fixed and when it warms up to operating temp it drops right off to the point where it stalls even though the knobs on the T.O.R.S are adjusted as high as they can go, :verymad: the bike pulls like a train up high, but when i slow down it just dies i've got to rev it to keep it goin, right now my pilot it stock, my mains are 220's and the needle is set on second from top (i think), and the screw is almost 3 turns out, on stock carbs of course. Does anyone think i have to change my pilot jet or does anyone have any other suggestions. Any info is GREATLY appreciated!!! HOLLA BACK!!!! P.S HQ'ERS ROCK!!!!!!!!!

GETTING REALLY SICK OF THIS!
BRIAN BANSHEE replied to BRIAN BANSHEE's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
i'll try the tester, i really hope it's the stator. BUT all the same i just had the cases split cause i split the lower in the corner by the shift star on the driver side, and when reassembling I made sure i used lots of gasket maker when i put it back together, and it IS running slightly better, but not much!!! so i dont think it's an airleak. I've even went back down to stock jets 200's and low and behold, it actually had more power, BUT NO DETENATION, plugs still looked rich. I CAN'T FIGURE THIS THING OUT!!!! -
Gonna try the ski conversion

GETTING REALLY SICK OF THIS!
BRIAN BANSHEE replied to BRIAN BANSHEE's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
it's just some mild porting just too clean it up a bit. and yes temps are celcius carbs are sync'd and yes i do still have TORS, BUT it is unplugged and the caps are tight and snug, BUT I was looking at my stator earlier (stock) and i noticed that some of the coating ove rthe copper wire is starting to crack and come off. Couls this be part of the problem? because no matter what i put in for a jet the plugs really dont seem to be changin a whole lot nor does the popping sound? once again thankx fellow hqer's YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!! -

Hey what's up fellow Hq'ers first post in a while haven't broke anything (BONUS) , been doin a lot of ridin. So with the winter approaching I was seriously thinkin about doin the ski conversion, I got a second set of stock spindels, and i was gonna cut the shaft off, fill in the gaps and weld a bar to that and go from there, and depending how that works i'll upgrade from there. I'm also looking at at set of 22"x11"x10" Sand gear paddels just wondering if these are any good, they look SICK!!!! Ski's I haven't really looked at yet but there are lots of options for them so i'm not to worried about that yet. Thanks guys!!!!

Man i feel like such an ass. But the worst thing about it was that this guy comes very highly recommended, I know how to do it now but over a year ago i was brand new to the shee scene and knew nothing i just wanted to ride, i guess i should've put the time into it myself. oh well that's what ya get for bein a plug i guess. Oh yeah, do a search on my other post about T.O.R.S which was also done by the same guy at the same time, and how much trouble i had with that. MAN I FU*KING HATE DEALERS!!!!!!!

What Would You Do In This Postion
BRIAN BANSHEE replied to DGFUNNY70's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Was the washer flat on one side on the inside cause i just had found the same thing oput on my shee, but i couldn't find the circlip and i had metal everywhere! -
Does ne one have a diagram of the primary drive or the whole transmission in general! MAN I FU*KING HATE DEALERS!! I put my shee in last year and had 2500$ worth of work done $1000 of which was in the tranny. So i'm n the middle of doing my winter rebuild and i notice my clutch cover case has a big fucking split right from the kick starter to the seal (this must of happened the last time i rode it) n e way i notice that there s a lot of metal in there so im like what the fuck. so i look under the clutch and i see this washer with one flat side and i say "it couldn't be" so i haul out the old clymer and look at the diagram and sure enough it's the washer that goes in front of the primary drive gear. Man i fuckin hate dealers. Then i realize that the little circlip isn't there either and i realize that that's what all the metal was. Then i look at the edge of the PD gear and the whole edge is almost worn away to nothing, and the inside of the gear touching it is the same way! MAN I' M PISSED!! wait till tomorrow i'll post pics!! Would this have caused my cover to split if that washer had gotten caught up or would it be just a fluke!
