i just rebuilt my moter and added a +4 crank and a port job from FAST. i only have about 10 hrs on the backing that is in the pipes and one side was burnt over 1/2 of it was missing the other side looked good. i have replaced the packing before but it lasted more than 10 hrs and both pipes looked about the same. does it hurt anythign to run it with out packing? thanks for the help.

i broke a headlight and need to get some new ones. i am looking at getting either the trail tech or PIAA. both are the 35 watt lights. i just wanted to know what people that had these type of lights thought about them. there is not much of a price difference between them so that is not an issue. the trail tech are smaller so i thought they would have less of a chance of breaking when i flip. (i know it is bad when you know that you are going to flip) but the PIAA do ahve a cage around them and are bigger so maybe be brighter or maybe a better light pattern. so i am not sure what one would be a better choice.

i just put on a +6 swingarm and now i need to get a shock that is not going to break the bank. i have sent emails to get a quote from elka, TCS and works. to get it revaled and stiffer springs put on the factory shock. is there any one else that you would recomend. also does anyone know what the turn around time is to get this done. i have a big trip planed for june 6th and if i cant get it revaled by then i am either going to have to look at riding it the way it is or buy a new one unless someone has one setting around they would sell. thanks for any advice.

i used motul also but i mix it 70:1 with 110

i am pretty sure it is a 20mm bolt that has a 32 mm head size to take it off. it was a pain to get off i had to get a big impact to get it off. i would get a nut also to wield to it.

the direction of the tire depends on what type of riding you are going to do. they are a directional tire. one way is for mud. the other way it is for sand and snow. it is written on the side of the tire to but tread theis way for mud and other for sand or snow.

i am currently set up to run 110 race gas. but i am having trouble rinding it now. i was thinking about sitching to alcohol. i am not sure what all that is invloved in doing this. i know i will need bigger jets but not sure how much bigger. i currently have 380's in it. i have stock carbs on it. my moter was ported and polished by jeff. does alcohol affect how long a moter will last? one of the reasons i was thinking about switching is that it is cheaper than race gas also. i am sure there is more that i need to know about making the switch and info would be great.

i got it in 01 and have rebuit it 2 times the 1st time i used klotz and it had a lot of carbon in it and lasted about 2 yrs before i had to rebuid it. then i swited to motul 800 it lasted 4 yrs and was as clean as when i put it together.

i am trying to buy a barrel of race gas and i am having trouble finding a barrel of it. i am taking a trip tp go riding in june and i want to get a barrel so i dont have to go buy more gas cans to haul it in. i dont think there is race gas available there. i am looking for either a 30 or 55 gallon drum and atleat 110 octane. does anyone know how long the gas will be good being stored for? i am pretty sure i will use almost 30 gallons but i know if i get a 55 gallon that i will have some left.

i use motul 800 mixed 70 to 1 and love it. the moter has always been super clean everytime i have took it apart.

i was thinking about getting one but wanted to see if anyone had one if they liked it. thanks.

i had mine done about 1 1/2 yrs ago and they still look good. i got it from eastwood. i just took the powder to a local powder coater and had them put it on.

does anyone know if there is a place that i can buy racing fuel there. i just didnt want to have to bring 30+ gallons with me.

i am doing a project for my statistics class. my project is that just because a moter is bigger does not mean that it has more Hp. so if i can get your guys help i need atleast 30 responces. i need the responces to be real dyno numbers. i am going to take my shee to be ran on the dyno friday. i have been wanting to do it since i rebulit it last year but now that i need to do it for school i wont have to listen to the wife about spending more money on it. i will post the results of my findings when i get done with the project. thanks for your help

does the banshee have a rev limiter. i just rebulit my moter and had it ported from FAST. i have a set of t-5. before i had it ported i never noticed it before. but when i rev it all of the way out it sounds like i am hitting a rev limiter.

i had the same problem and the clutch was out of adjustment.

i had jeff at FAST do mine. while the wait to get them was a little longer than expected. it was worth the wait. he has great customer service. he will spend the time to talk to you and see what you want done and help you with your decision. also after i did get mine back from him one jug leaned out and burned a hole in the piston. this was not jeffs fault but after calling him he had my jugs back to me in less than a week. i found the problem to be a rock in the carb not sure how it got past the fuel filter but somehow it did. but to me the customer srevice is worth the wait and will use him again next time i need someting ported or ?????

if you get the 5.6 gal. you have to trim the fenders a little. not much pretty much cut the part the bolts into the gas tank even with the radiator. i belive if you get the one that is a size smaller you do not have to trim the plastic. i do love my 5.6 though i can make long trail rides with out having to take gas with me anymore.

i need to get some new headlights for my shee. i was looking around and seen that they are starting to put led headlights in cars. i was wondering if any one has seen this done or know of a kit to do it. i was thinking that since led use less engery i could get brighter lights with out having to upgrade the stator and of course it would be cool as hell.
