  1. Guys, I'll also consider any partial trades for a dirt bike and cash if this helps. Doesn't matter to me what kind, as long as it's 2-stroke-125 or bigger! Oh, and if you want pics, be sure to send me your email address. I can't seem to get my pics to download or send through the site !!!!!!!
  2. Pics ready for email, who wants em??????????
  3. I'm tryin to avoid parting her out, but if I do the HQ will have 1st dibs! Still can't believe I'm considering letting her go
  4. OK guys, I'm buying some land, so thinking of letting the shee go, plus it's just to damn hot to ride in SC during the summer. It's a 2001 blue shee. Cranks 1st or 2nd kick everytime, hot or cold, and will idle all day long. It does not fowl plugs ever! Runs awsome, a true joy to own. I bought it in Dec and it was bone stock like it came from the factory, even original tires! This thing had literally been stored most of it's life. It is still on original pistons and rings, no shit! The last time I had the compression tested it had 140+ in the bottles. The guy I got it from had it in his garage under a tarp, and said it had been there for over a year. Like I said, it was bone stock as of Jan this year, then the fun began! Mods since then are: T-5's Chrome TDR reeds and cages milled head .030 jets Pro-Flow set up....foam Lonestar Krypton +2+1 A-arms YFZ450 front shocks Dirt Devil rear tires....fronts still original Chrome DG nerfs AC racing front bumper Baha double handle rear grab bar Moose handlebars Troy racing graphics and seat cover...2 weeks old! grips, bar pad, shock wears, headlight covers, etc... Probably more, but at work right now, so in a hurry. I change oil every other ride, clean filter after every ride. This thing looks great and flat out flies! I can SMOKE my buddy's heavily modded trx450R, and could hang with my other buddy's 404 shee with 35pwk's and a ton more mods. I have pics, just send me your email and I'll get them to you ASAP. Also may accept a partial trade to help out, $3700 firm!
  5. I don't know jack about zillas, but 55 HP from the factory , come on, that seems a little high. i think I'm gonna have to call bullshit on that one!
  6. Yeah, that's gonna be done Friday or first thing Sat. Just want to get all my ducks in a row before then. I consider anything above 140lbs per bottle fairly new, That sound about right?
  7. My buddy's shee started acting up and we're tryin to figure it out. He bought it off some guy on the side of the road pretty cheap. It has 34mm carbs and supposed to have a brand new 404 kit in it,but he doesn't know much else about it. A couple days after he bought it one cylinder just died during a ride and oil started coming out of the silencer (right side). He called me and I told him to check the plugs probably fowled. It was black and oily as hell. Put in new plug, ran great. I thought it was a bad crank seal. He came down for a ride the next weekend and we changed the oil and plugs for a ride the next day. This time the plugs still looked new, but we changed them anyway. About 3 hrs into the ride the next day, same thing, right side dies, more oil from silencer. This time when we pulled the plugs, right side didn't look that bad, just looked like it had been flooded, but the left was black as hell. The thing thats got me is that the oil in the cylinder can be sparatic like it is. It's fine for a few days, plugs stay clean, then all of a sudden they fowl out. If it were a crank seal or something leaking, wouldn't it leak all the time? I went over to take another peak at it yesterday before he comes back in town for the weekend and noticed one of the chokes on the carbs doesn't seem to work. And the place where stock carbs have a balance tube between them, his 34mm's have 2 extra drain tubes coming off the carbs(2 per carb). Is this normal for the 34mm's? Could there be a prob with the carbs causing all this crap? What about something electrical causing one cylinder to lose spark every now and then? One guy suggested it could be the reeds, anyone agree? Anyone with some ideas, we're open for suggestions??????????

  9. Damn I glad I came across this post! I ran into a guy a couple days ago with a zilla for sale on the side of the road. I just stopped to check it out and kill some time cause I haven't seen one in years. The guy tells me about it, what all it's got and so on. I mention that I ride a shee, and the shit talkin starts! He says it will smoke anything including my shee! Then tells me we can race for anything I want, cash, pinks, whatever.... All this without even seeing my bike or asking what I got on it. At this point I'm thinkin either he's just a dumb redneck hick, or he's got a badass zilla. He says he's owned 2 banshees so he knows what he's talkin about. Here's the thing, he says he just had a new factory bore cylinder and piston put on it. So as far as I can see all it's got is a FMF and a K&N. Carb looks stock, I assume it's got different reeds, but didn't ask. I have T-5s, ProFlow, milled head, TDR reeds, and small shit like that, but motor is still stock. Should I try this ass, or just leave it alone? I can hang right with a friends shee with a 404 kit, 34 mm carbs, pipes, K&N, etc, and another friend has a pretty tricked out 450R that I spank at will.....if this helps any.
  10. I just had the same problem with one of my upper a-arms. Tried to remove the stockers to put on my +2's and the upper long bolt was seized. had to chop it in 3 pieces with a saw-zaw to get it apart , good luck!!
  11. Sea level, don't know the domes, he's in another state. All he can tell me is that he has a CoolHead I'll be able to check whaen he gets it here next week, can you ballpark it?
  12. I had my stockers covered for 2 months. Took them off to put on my YFZ450's and they were rusted to hell, but for some reason I put them back on my 450's after the install........go figure
  13. Trash those tired stockers and get some new shocks! If you don't want to spend the dough on aftermarket, grab some YZF450's. Their pretty cheap and soooooo much better than stock, I did it and love em. Just my .02..........
  14. Need to know what compression to expect to get when i test my buddies shee he just bought. I told him to do it before he bought it, what do I know???? Also, how much of a difference in compression is acceptable between the 2 jugs, if they end up being different? thanks..........
  15. We're gonna check the compression next week, what should we expect in each jug? How much of a difference is ok between the jugs.... if they do end up being different? Thanks
  16. We will check it out next week when he gets back in town. The carbs seem to be fine. It's the damndest thing, A few weeks ago it ran great, then one day on a ride it died in one cylinder and started spitting oil out of the silencer (right side). I figured it was a bad crank seal cause the left plug still looked new. The right plug was fowled bad! We put in a new plug, ran like a champ. 2 weeks later, changed the oil and decided to change the plugs for the hell of it before a ride and I figured if the crank seal was leaking then the plug was probably about done for anyway. Both plugs still looked new after 2 weeks of riding! We threw in new ones anyway. The next day after about 3 hours of riding, right cylinder dies again. Pulled the plug and the same thing, covered with oil. And all day before the plug fowled it felt like the right side had less compression than the left. If it were a crank seal problem, wouldn't it leak all the time instead of every now and then? And would this cause the drop in compression? Anyway, we will probably tear it down in the next week or 2 just to be sure, after we check the reeds and carbs. Any other suggestions????????????
  17. My buddy bought a shee a couple weeks ago that he came across on the side of the road. The owner claimed he just put a 404 kit in it. It ran great and he offered the guy a little money and he took it. That's all we know about it. He didn't even get the guys contact info. This week it started acting up. Keeps fowling the right side plug, so I told him it's probably a crank seal. But now it seems like the right side has lost compression. You can tell a difference if you hold your hands over the exhaust. It still runs strong, but he says it was much stronger when he bought it. Sounds to me like the rings may be gone in one jug. I have never seen a 404 kit, and don't really know what's involved in one, and he has no way of contacting the previous owner. My question is, when we tear it down, how do we know if it's really a 404 kit? Are there any markings to tell, or do we need to measure it? What compression should it have? How low can it go before you recommend a rebuilt? Where is the best place to get the parts? I think that about covers it, thanks guys..........
  18. I just got my 450 shocks ready to mount on my Shee, just waiting for some new a-arm bushings. What is a good place to start as far as fine tuning the for my weight? I weigh 170lbs. I bought them used so I have no idea what type of rider they were set for, or if they are still at factory settings. Do I need to go to a lower profile tire to make up for the extra shock length so my front end isn't up in the air? Thanks
  19. Just bought a set of Krypton +2+1 arms. Figured for the price (used), I had to jump on them, if they end up being junk it didn't cost me much. Hopefully I won't break my neck let me know what you think about them, thanks.........
  20. bump
  21. BUMP........
  22. Yeah, I only got that one reply saying they were junk, but not any proof. I figured I'd try posting here to get more opinions before giving up on them.
  23. Iam in the market for some new arms, but don't have much $$$ to spend. American Star Racing and FullFlight are both in my price range, but nobody has much good to say about FF's, so I will pass on them. Anyone tried ASR's? I've heard that they(ASR) used to go by another name and they were shit, can anyone verify this? It's either these or wait for a good deal on some used better name brand, but they got a +3+1 setup for $400, that's mighty hard to pass up! Give me some feedback guys, I don't want to buy junk, but I don't want to pass on them cause of a rumor either.
  24. ASR (American Star Racing) have A-arm packages on ebay for sale pretty cheap. I am thinking of buying a pair. They seem to be a very knolegable company, and seem very eager to answer any and every question I have, just wondering if anyone has tried them, I am a little skeptical of ebay companies. They have a set of +3 +1 arms for stock length shocks, although they say not to use stock shocks on them, only aftermarket stock length. These are the only +3 arms I've seen that arn't for a long travel system. Anybody tried these or know someone that has? I am getting a set of YFZ450 shocks to go with them. does this sound like a good combo?
