  1. ok. i havent rode either of them but from what i have heard the yfz is a better setup. it doesnt have too much low end but really hits strong from the mid on. as where the honda is more of a smoother powerband and more lowend grunt and the yamaha is hard hitting. as for handling i heard they both handle pretty well but i heard the yfz has one of the best setups for suspenion right out of the factory. IMO the yfz looks better and is better hope that helps ya out man

  5. my local dealership is like that. i only buy from them when i have to. they charge an arm and a leg, the service is horrible like i was getting a hoodie there and we were standing at the counter for a good 30 mins until someone came and helped us out . i ordered huevous 5 from then and it took pretty close to a month and a half to get it. like whats up with that? so now i just order my stuff from a yamaha shop about 2 hours away and its always on time and very nice people

  11. if the tors is for not letting the slides go up when the throttle is stuck then how come it still works when you have it pinnned 6th?

  13. no its not. it is running a lil rich though i think because the plugs have gas on em when i take em out. so what do i change and by how much?
  14. ok i hear that if the end of your plug is a tan colour then your running lean? is this true? and also how lean does your engine have to be before you blow it running lean?
  15. hey guys. got my quad back today and its smoking a lil and the plugs are a lil wet with the new 2-1 carb setup. i dont know what the size of the jet is. but what should i do go up or down and on what? thanks later

  18. what type of performance will porting add to a guys motor? would it be worth it for me to get it done?
  19. ok on mountain bikes with hydrolic brakes if you take the rotor out of the calipers and somehow manage to hit that brake which you took the rotor out of it will get air in the line and then that pushes your pads out. maybe when you changed em the first time you hit the brakes or something. i figured it would be the same for quads?
  20. its ready to go i called my mechanic before and he said that hes got er going. 135 plus taxes. there were a bunch of problems. the killswitch,ignition switch, wires touching the frame, bad spark plug, and im sure there were a couple more. im getting it back tomorrow. then its time for some crazy stuff. im feeling it for quading this year and you guys will be surprised thanks for all your guys opinions and such on trying to help me fix it. helps alot. later
  21. ya man checked the electrical faq. the stator tested fine. i will give my mechanic a call today and see whats up and post back later
  22. the difference between 20x11x9 and 22x11x9 is the height of the tire. (.125, .160, .190) these are strengths. .125 would be for someone who just rides around not doing anything. .160 would be for someone who doesnt ride too hard but still rides a lil aggressive. .190 would be for someone who is iinto mx or racing and puts the quad through alot. hope that helps
  23. hey guys. i recently brought my quad to my mechanic for him to fix it. well i called him today and he said that he had it running. he checked everything and it all checked out ok and sometimes he wouldnt get no spark then all of a sudden a good spark. he had it running for about 5 minutes and then he hit the ignition switch and it quit again. so he pulled that apart and check and it was all good. only thing he cant test is the balck box in the back but he says that never goes. so does anyone have a clue what could be wrong now since everything tested good and it ran? could it be a broken wire? he is going to check it out tomorrow and hopefully fix it. ima going to give him a call back tomrorow night and see what he figures. any oppinions on what you guys think it is would be very helpful. o ya when he had it running he said it was running super good and all that too. im glad that its nothing major anywyas. later
  24. ya i need to check and see what i get from herrmann. im going to try to get roll and if i cant get it then denton and if i still cant aford that then herrmann. one thing is for sure though is that ill be getting the elka track shocks.
