  4. nothing much man work and school. tryed to get my banshee running again with an engine off ebay but i got it together and a crank bearing seized. a couple weeks later i was riding my yfz and the crank and con rod snapped and put three different holes in my cases. needless to say it hasnt been good with the whole quad situation for me

  6. Hey guys. I havent been on here in a while but I hope everyone is doing well. I started this topic to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and to have a safe holiday. Hope everyone gets what they are wanting for x-mas as im sure santa will be rippen and delivering on his banshee. Also dont be drinking and driving.   9. hey guys. I just bought an engine off ebay since my tranny was shot in my other one. Well i was checking it out and the one rod seemed a little stiff. I put it together anyways figuring it would be fine. Well i started it up and it started good then there was a pop and something shot out the exhaust and now it wont fire. only the good side will. if the crank bearing seized what damage would be done? will my cylinders be pooched? let me know.   10. do you have a bottom end? like tranny,gears, cases and all. pretty much everything minus the cylinders pistons and head?
  11. no there not a set its a single carb for a single carb setup. i have stock carbs with reeds, quite a bit of yfz parts, and a pair of rims. let me know man

  17. no to adjust the shifting so it will downshift and upshift. The C on the end of your shift arm has to have an even space between the 2 pins
  18. ya i know that its slotted. i think i might have er now. to adjust the shifting it has to be in gear right?
  19. ok i think i got it. was working well before so well see. i am going to take a pic of it in 10 and post it to see if my C on the shift rod thing is in the right spot. its not like it is in the clymer and i have no clue why but there is only one pin and its in the middle instead of the two pins. i will post a pic to explain

  21. well i was just messing with it before and got it to work perfectly but then i tried it with my shifter on and it got all bunged up again so i tryed to get it how it was before and it would not go. everything is off it. i dont know why but it binds and wont shift. i had it in neutrel and everything and was aligning it and everything. does it have to be in neutral before i can adjust it and put it back together? i will go and get some video of it right away
  22. no the star is good. the adjuster that adjusts the shift arm on the star is what fell off. i got it one down by rolling the tires and now just need to go one more but wont catch the top pin
  23. ya my cases have never been split and it was working good until my external shift adjuster fell out and got ate by my clutch basket gear. so they are all in there good. as long as it is adjusted good like the even space between the two pines and the C then it should shift good right? i just need to downshift it while the wheels are spinning? cause when it broke i had third and fourth and i think thats what gear its in now
  24. ya man sorry i dont really know how to explain it. like on the shift star there is the 6 pins then one little thing by one of the pins. in the clymer it shows this at 9:00 and the broken peice of the star at 6:00 on mine the broken end of the star is at 3:00 and the little thing is at 12:00. do i need this to be exactly how it is in the clymer to adjust it and put it back together or can i just adjust it how it is and will it be good? sorry but thats the best way i can put it. if you have a clymer go to chpt 5 and look at figure 109 or something like that its in the middle of a page on the right hand side
  25. hey guys. I was working on my banshee trying to get my shifting figured out and my shift star doesnt move a whole lot. it only will move 1/4 of the way around. it wont go past the 1/4 on either side. how can i get it to move? is there a special tool i need? i try to shift it with the shift lever and it doesnt catch. can the shift star be in any spot to adjust it or what? i need help quick guys. Thanks BFS
