  1. Do you have a temp gun? I use one to check the temp of my pipes to determine jetting. You may also try swaping the carbs back and forth to see if it follows the carb. If it does, it's the carb. If it doesn't, your problem is somewhere else.
  2. I went on a ride last week. Got about 10 miles out, looked down and said to my BIL "My clutch cable is about to break" I grabbed it and pulled and it broke. I made it back no problem but Now it's time for a new one. What cable do you think is the absolute best short of a hydrolic set up.
  3. Welcome to BHQ. Do you have any pics of your rides and where you ride? I'm curious if there's any changes on the 2010 shee.
  4. Thanks for the complement. Do you know anyone with a NL you could take a ride on? I haven't ridden a link in so long that I don't remember the ride. You may also contact Lonestar or one of the other chassis builders and ask them what you may experience. when you choose shocks, check out Works shocks. they send you a sheet to write down aspects and measurements of the bike. This helps them determine valving, springs compression and rebound on the shocks. They were very helpful with the shocks on my other bike.
  5. Does it feel like you run out of power or does it feel like you run out of gear?
  6. The back tires are 24" 14 paddle.
  7. It's a pan-hard rod. With almost 200 hp it'll pull the swinger sideways w/o it. The filters are K&N on 55mm Packard Lectron alcohol carbs. The chassis is a +14" Lonestar and the arm is also +14". It's just a lil ol' 910cc Matoon motor. 8-) Notice it also has an outboard bearing for the front sproket. This prevents the shaft from flexing as well. BTW it's for sale. I'm getting to old to go that fast.
  8. Personally, I like a no link set up.
  9. I'll get you a pic shortly. Thanks.
  10. I've got an aluminum 5 gal desert tank. What would it run to make it look like that one?
  11. The LED draw very little current. Your stock stator should be able to handle it just fine.
  12. I say congratulations on your efforts. A few ounces of extra gussets isn't going to amount to anything at the finish line. Don't do it and have an arm break, then you have problems. (Usually it's you that gets the brunt of the blow.) I look forward to seeing the finished product.
  13. The only down side is that the Banshee won't fit in the bed.
  14. Here at my stereo shop we also do graphics. Here's a shot of the hood of our prerunner. More color will be added soon but you get the idea. Next will be my banshee to match.
  15. I used hoseclamps and a rubber cushion. My rezo's were scratched up so I dressed them up with a Monster energy drink can.
  16. Well, the one and only motor sports park we had in Tucson has been shut down. (Again) Great facility with rock crawling, sand drags, MX track and a desert loop. They say they are looking to put someone in place to run it but I don't think they are looking too hard. If anyone knows of an organization looking to pick up one helluva facility, contact the Pima county parks dept.
  17. Actually you are wrong. A ticket for insurance is less if you get insurance by the time you get to court. Same goes for registration. Here in AZ the fine for both reg and ins, is 400.00 if you don't get it and 50.00 if you do. You can contact the court or an attorney. Been there, done that.
  18. My bike hits on the left cylinder before it hits on the right. Only seems to happen if I'm running rich.
  19. I would contact your local Insurance company and get liability insurance before court. Then contact DMV and see if you can get any kind of regestration what so ever. If you lived here in AZ you could get plates. I would plead not guilty. The officer will have to appear in court. If he doesn't, the case will probably be dropped.
  20. On a stock Banshee fuel tank, how much fuel is left when I switch to reserve? I ran a desert tank for ever so I don't know much about the stock one. We got into the mountains today and had to turn back due to the tank appearing to be 1/2 full. When I got back to the truck, I still wasn't on reserve.
  21. My rezzi's were scratched up so I wanted to make them look better and spend no money. Cut up an energy drink can and wrapped it around the rezo. I wonder if Monster would be interested in sponsoring me ;-)afterall, the bike is a monster.
  22. Here are some pics of how we routed the hose. I use a Toomy radiator. I don't know if a stock one is the same configuration.
  23. Here you go. http://www.marvinshawshocks.com/
  24. Very nice. I want to switch to an arm with a honda style carrier one of these days. How about some pics of the rest of the bike.
  25. If any of you are in Tucson, a few of us are going to Rosemont Junction Sunday morning. Let me know today and we can all meet up.
