  1. Got my insurance. Liability was a whopping $21.00 a month. Put my horn on and bleed the back brakes and I'm solid. I'm going to keep a copy of the ADOT info seen above, on the bike, just incase I do get harassed.
  2. The method in which they have to test your noise level is almost impossible to be accurate. I'm in the audio business so I have so much info regarding sound levels that I could beat that ticket every time.
  3. Here is the state requirements EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS What equipment is required to operate my OHV in Arizona? (Some of these equipment requirements are specified in older statutes that are already part of Arizona State Law.) For those under 18, a properly fitted and fastened U.S. DOT-approved helmet. (ARS 28-1179B) Brakes. (ARS 28-1179A.1) Lighted head and taillights if operated between one half-hour after sunset and one half-hour before sunrise. (ARS 28-1179A.2) A muffler or noise dissipative device that prevents sound above 96 decibels. (ARS 28-1179A.3) A United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)-approved spark arrestor device. (ARS 28-1179A.4) Eye Protection for operators of vehicles not equipped with a windshield. (ARS 28-964A) License plate securely fastened to the rear of the OHV and clearly visible. (ARS 28-2512D.1&2) Rearview mirror. (ARS 28-964B) Brake light and at least one red rear reflector (if taillight does not reflect). (ARS 28-927) Seat and footrests for the operator and passenger if vehicle is designed to carry a passenger. (ARS 28-964B) Sand dunes and certain areas designated by a land managing agency may require a safety flag. The flag shall be at least 6 by 12 inches and attached to the OHV and flying at least 8 feet above the surface of the level ground. (28-1179A.5) To street legal your OHV you will also need: License plate light. (ARS 28-925C) Horn audible from a distance of at least 200 feet. (ARS 28-954A) Proper insurance. (ARS 28-4142A) Emissions: Certain areas may also require to have your OHV emissions tested. (ARS 49-542C&D)
  4. Got a Banjo bolt with a pressure switch built in. Good to go. Actually here in AZ we have a part time on road use plate. My Banshee needed head lights, plate light, mirror, horn, driving light and that's about it. If under 1000lbs you don't need DOT tires. I've already got the license plate on it and registered.
  5. It's on ebay right now but I'd do some trading towards it. I had built a sand car and liked my quad better. Sold the car so the motor is just sitting around.
  6. If you do decide to build a rail, I have a motor for sale.
  7. It is, I'll try to get some more pics up for you guys soon.
  8. I've got a graphics guy that works with us here at my shop. He is absolutely insane. Any questions?
  9. That is going to be frickin georgous!!! How about some details on the motor?
  10. Is there a pressure switch of some kind to put brake lights on a Banshee? Here in AZ we can drive on the streets if we have the proper goodies.
  11. Thanks very much. Stop in any time, There both here.
  12. we had to do some mods to the radiator and move it out A bit. Mine is the 5th one he made so that may have been corrected. Right now my bike is crammed behind some other stuff. Remind me Saturday and I'll send you a pic of the radiator lines. I use a toomy radiator & Lonestar steering stem. You don't want to sell it do you?
  13. I looked but I can't find them. The only pic I have is next to the drag bike.
  14. My idea is to implement a flag that indicates the spectators are closing on the track and to proceed with caution. This will also be an indication to the spectators that if they don't back off, the cars will be slowing down. It's a win win.
  15. Psyko Bill Wyko at your service.

  16. Yea, I'm in Tucson. I'll have to try to get up there one of these times. Right now I've been working 7 days a week trying to survive this Fed up economy. I own Audio 2000, a car stereo shop. On the weekends I build Humidors for high end cigar smokers. I know, strange combo of business endeavors. I have websites if you want to check them out. www.audio2000az.com and www.humidorminister.com. The Audio one you'll need to let it load the intro for about a minute before you can go to the gallery.
  17. Come on by. My shop is at 4742 E. Speedway Blvd. I'm just east of Swan on the south side of the street. I'm usually here 9:00 to 6:00 tuesday through Saturday.
  18. None what so ever. The tires stay straight up and down and parallel. The overlap of the arms make the arm so long that it's not an issue. Dean put a lot of work into that aspect of the design.
  19. I had a biker tell me once to spray white VHT 1800 degree engine paint inside my pipes and let it cure. This is suppose to reflect the heat. My pipes are still chrome several months later.
  20. I am Bill Wyko but that blue one was built by someone that works for Trinity if I remember correctly. That thing was spotless. I have the old FMF pv cylinders. I sold the bike and missed it so much that I made a trade to get it back. It was orange back then. PM me if you want to go riding. The drag bike is for sale. It's a Matoon +24x86 motor, +14 chassis and +14 billet arm. It's around 910cc's and close to 200hp.
  21. I find it interesting that not one of the news stations say that the crowd had removed the netting and were too close to the course. Our world of off roading always gets a bad wrap.
  22. That was the blue and silver one. That was one beautiful bike. Never seen it in person though.
  23. There have been news organizations and internet news calling this a "Slaughter" or a "Killing" and other things that could give the perception that this was deliberate. If you come across anyone describing this ACCIDENT that way, please set them straight. We all know how the tree huggers will try to use this to screw the daylights out of the off road world.
  24. Actually the FB front plastic is real chrome. I'm going to do the back with the spray chrome to match. I can't tell the two apart.
  25. In the baja, Walker evans hit a camera man years ago and killed him. That's why Dodge got out of desert racing back then. In this crash, 2 children lost both of their parents among those lost. Aparently the truck rolled into the crowd. IMHO when they post the arrows for the course, they need to post signs that these areas are unsafe to be within X distance of the course. You'll never stop some from disobeying the signs but at least the warning would be there.
