  1. I was down in C*AYT0N last week and it was really nice down there. Prob gonna pick up a set of paddles for next time. I know of some trials in North Jersey (upstate NY) but they are very rocky. I'm going to Fl next week but when I get back I'm up riding!! Nick
  2. If nutcase doesn't take them I will!! Let me know if he passes. Nick
  3. Are your ball joints and tie rods all tight? Maybe just the brand of tires on the front if they are really agressive off-road tire. Good luck. Nick
  4. synced the carbs today (was just slightly off). Still the same results tho. I took it on the street and once opened up she runs great, its just this the weak and sputtering left cylinder that is bothering me. I also adjusted the idle so thats fixed. Any other ideas guys?? Thanks Nick
  5. biggun - checked that already too, just forgot to meantion it. I changed the plugs but still the same results. Thank you tho!! Easyrider - I will have to check that tomorrow after work! Thanks.
  6. Hey all, Recently I went though and rebuilt an '01 that did not run when I bought it (misc. problems). replaced everything top and bottom end. Cylinder compression checks out to be even. While running (I also need to ajust the idle since it wont start or continue to run unless I have the at at least 1/4 throttle) the left cylinder isn't holding up its 1/2 of the work and seems to sputter/pop. I swapped the coil wires and the left cylinder still seems to still be having trouble. Does this sound like a carb issue or maybe the reeds on that cylinder are cracked or not sealing correctly??? I took it down the road and back and although it sputters a bit at low throttle it still seems to haul a$$ when you open it up. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks. Nick
  7. When was the last time it was rebuilt? Might wanna check compression. Back in the day (Which according to Dane Cook always fell on a Weds), my blaster had a similar problem where it would run great and as soon as I pulled in the clutch and let off the throttle it would stop running. Ended up needing a rebuild and then she ran great. Nick
  8. I might be able to do Sat. Could someone PM me directions to where you all park your trucks to avoid being hasseled? Also possibly looking at going on Monday if anyone else has off from work! Nick
  9. Thats such bull $hit! Where are we supposed to ride. I dunno if anyone heard about the Park officers that shot an unarmed man in Stag Hill in Mahwah after an altercation regarding riding quads. All these freaking tree huggers who will never understand our sport by claiming we ruin the land and drainage and endanger wild life but yet in Mahwah they continue to cut down forests and build condos and huge houses but that doesn't affect any of that?? Its all about the all mighty dollar. Such BS. YOu cant ride here/ you cant ride there but they wont give us a place to ride. Its good thing I really love riding!! Nick
  10. Anyone going riding this weekend? Sat or Easter works for me. Let me know. Nick
  11. I'm running that intake t-5s with 280s in my carbs. I'm located in NJ so I'm not at a really high alt. Hope this helps. Nick
  12. I need to finish paying off my truck so I'm looking to sell my '01 Banshee. Mostly stock (Toomey 2/1 uni filter, aftermarket rear grab bar, skid plate, parking brake block off) I will also include the stock airbox with a K&N, and rear parking brake setup). I purchased this banshee as a project with a blown motor and cracked case. I purchased another motor and completely went through it then put it all back together after making sure everything was in spec. Both cylinders came to 105 PSI. It runs just not perfectly yet (it runs rich so I need to adjust the carbs), otherwise its in great working order and complete. The rear subframe is bent slightly and the plastics are scratched but if someone wants a banshee this doens't affect how it will perform. I dont have the title (the guy I bought it from lost his house in a fire and it was in there but I do have the paper to renew the registration with the vin number and his info as well as a bill of sale from him and will provide another bill of sale. I'm looking to get $2000 OBO.
  13. No I woudn't redrill the hubs (I doubt you could get a larger bolt pattern since the studs are already on the outermost part of the hub already). I was talking as if you got a set of golf cart rims and redrilled them to the Banshee hub pattern. I would pick up a set of DOT quad tires or DOT golf cart tires that will fit your rims. Maybe running skinnier trailer rims/tires would fit? Just measure the hub pattern and start looking around. I think thats your cheapest route (having special hubs made wouldn't be cheap and a set of "dubs" would be even more expensive). Good luck. Nick
  14. Search the internet. I know there are DOT approved quad tires. Maybe you can even get a set of DOT approved golf cart tires and rims that match your bolt pattern or redrill them to fit your lug pattern. Hope this helps. Nick
