Reminds me of a story where a pt came into the ER with one stuck in her colon. After retreiving the unit, none of the other nurses could figure out how to turn it off. Then a hospital supervisor (elderly woman) walked in and immediately turned it off like it was second nature.

Well the airbox will cost you performance for protection of your filters and exposure to the elements. You have to weigh what is the most important to you. Bars are a good idea, for cheaper bars Fly bars aren't bad. Tag and Renthal make some good bars also at a greater cost.

You may have been able to tweak the cpi's enough to get a good fit to the frame but not at the exhaust port. Your frame may just be bent. Get some measurement off another frame and make sure.

No your spring should not loosen. Torque them at 7ft/lbs and the spring tention will keep the bolt from loosening. As for the banshee lurching in gear, mine has done that since day one.

First and foremost get rid of the stock filter system and get a pro-design ring and filter kit or one simliar, remove the snorkel intake on the airbox if not the entire lid. Then get some pipes and v-force 2 reeds. Then down the road some porting, carbs, higher compression, advanced timing, lightened flywheel, etc. When that no longer satisfies you, let us know.

Like some have said, there probably is no "best" oil. Though there are "better" oils. Specially synthetic over petroleum oil. There is no comparison between the two. So really the best oil is a sythetic that you can buy readily at a good price. For myself that is Mobil 1 15-50 I buy at wal-mart. For me that is the best oil on the market for my applications for those reasons. It's the best priced sythetic and one of the top brand sythetics in the world. Have you tried adjusting or increasing the pull to the cable? You may just be out of adjustment.

Actually that track is not too far from my house. Use to ride it all the time before I turned the shee into a duner only quad. Pretty nice track, they have an MX section and a cross country track. Becarefull, there is some very tight sections between tree's and a 20 foot creek jump. If you don't make the jump, your hosed. Lemme know if your gonna make it for sure and we can meet up.

Really doens't make sense to me to run a high rev pipe for mx no matter what gearing you use. It still takes more time to reach the "meat" of the power band with high rev pipes. Not benefical on a MX track where you are continously on and off the trottle. You would have to keep the motor running at a higher rpm all the time. I don't think that would be an easy task on most MX tracks.

You guys running water wetter with water alone or with anit-freeze?
