  1. Boon, these new superbikes are geared to do over 200mph (HP permitting minus any limiters), not sure about 240. There has been some tests where these bikes hit 100 in 1st. Which they should, my 929 redlines at 12,500rpm and I can hit 80 in 1st. These new superbikes don't redline till upwards of 13,750rpm plus their running 20 to 30 more ponies and possibly higher gearing. These bikes are putting out around 180hp at the crank with the assistance of the ram air affect at higher speeds so 100mph in 1st is definitely feasible and most likely possible. On my 929 in the 1/4 I could hit a 10.72 @ 135 passing the trap in 3rd gear with the tach in the red. These new bikes you can drop a second off that time and add about 15mph more through the trap. Really it's not the 100mph in 1st gear that's bad, it's the 180mph in 6th gear that's bad. I also have a buddy with a Huyabusa that has the throttle retard eliminator on it, otherwise it is stock. He it 199 on the radar on a mile long runway. Benefits of being a police officer in the same town. Though he had to get it up to a 199 and shut it down within a mile. He said he almost went off the end.
  2. Banchetta , you dropped over a second off of your 1/4 time and your top speed was still the same? Seems kind of odd since you aren't topped out. My times and top speed would always correlate. That would have to be one hell of a launch to run a 10 second 1/4 at 135 mph.
  3. It's in my profile.
  4. You might try Alba, I just ordered some factory plastic from them this year.
  5. Have we done a float height check? May be too high or low. Another possibility is a weak spark. You will need to check CDI unit, stator and coil. Make sure these things are done before you go buying another set of carbs.
  6. Well that depends on your tires. Obviously anything that accelerates faster will have a greater tendency to spin the tires. I say do the flywheel and if tire spin is a problem, then change to a tire size, tread, width that will hook up better.
  7. Mobil 1 MX-2T at 40:1, I also ran Conoco Skat 2 stroke oil for 5 years. That is an awesome dino oil.
  8. Haha, that's how my mom was and then my wife replaced her saying the same things. I've only wrecked twice and both times I was injured pretty good. The combination of the 2 cost me a knee surgery. I don't get up near as easy as I used to so I take it a little easier now.
  9. Well they eye looks narrow and the hole too small. Though these could be dealt with, just something to ponder. Otherwise looks like a real good shock for cheap.
  10. I'll have to ask my riding buddies which of those smells they will like the best. It will probably make getting a face full a sand a tad more enjoyable.
  11. I lack the capability to convert that to US dollars.
  12. That's my buddies TRX in the background. It's a nice reliable quad, PITA to kick start and cold natured for sure. It also has a cam, full fmf powerbomb exhaust, airfilter and some other mods. When we race at LS in the flats I give him a 20yd head start and beat him to the end by 20 yds. Mines not stock but I don't think you could do anything short of nitrous to get it to keep up. Sorry Chris if you read this post. lol Though they are one of the fastest stock quads out there, but who rides stock?
  13. Yea it's worth it, especially if your into detail. Heres a link of a thread with some pics of my shee. Not sure that you can particularly see the bolts but I'm sure they would stick out a lot more if they were stock. Every bolt on it is polished SS excpet the front upper a-arms. Also the kit they sell on e-bay is not the show polished set, it costs a lot more. LINK
  14. Just make sure it is done in a high temp powder.
  15. Exactly!!! Don't be haters or imitators, I just added a major mod. My new sponge filters wrapped in protective pink thongs. My shits shit rips.
  16. They even have calipers that mount to the belt drive systems also.
  17. Maybe they will chime in here and let us know what all services they offer. I just as soon support a bhq member/supporter than anyone else. I just have to know who and what to even decide ya know.
  18. Yea you guys get a date together then post a new thread with whatever you get figured out. I'll be there
  19. Hmmm, wonder if they were actually Galfer's though? Those things are way more expensive.
  20. I would probably run forged pistons since they have stronger skirts, if your not already.
  21. That's awesome, I'll add those. Tried to pick up Cascade to no evail. They said it's a conflict to sponsor us with Mod-Quad as one of our sponsors. They don't like competition I recon. I'll be checking with Mod-Quad first from now on.
  22. Thanks duner, that's an awesome sight. Tons of rod ends.
  23. Happy Birthday fellas!!
  24. Yea 1'' taller.
  25. I'm running a Janssen Racing +1 with the anti-vibe system. It's chromed chromoly and comes with the billet clamps and a lifetime warranty for around 270. I couldn't find anyone to touch that price at the time. Awesome quaility unit and I have no complaints. Just be sure and get the anti-vibe set-up, it works great. I also noticed some units don't come with the bar clamps and this can add an additional 40 to 60 dollars or more.
