  1. I bought a set of 28mm PWK's from the dealership for $165+jets. I ordered the carbs off of a 2004 Kawasaki KX100 and they are the same carbs just cheaper. Then the cable will be around $35 so you are going to be into a set a little over $200 if you do it my way.
  2. Thanks a ton. I put the filters in the boiling water for about 5 min and they sliped right over the carbs. I let them cool for about 15 min and took them off and they held the shape as if they were the right filters for the carbs. It worked like a charm. Saved me about $65. Thanks Again SuperChris
  3. I'm gonna give this a try. Sounds like it would work, and its worth a try. Thanks
  4. I sent you a PM.
  5. I've got a set of used 20's that I don't need anymore. I don't need the 22's either so make me an offer or if you have something else that might catch my interest!!
  6. Do you still have the filters. I am interested but I need to know the dimentions. Need to know inner diameter, outer diameter and length for clearance issues. PM me if you still have em.
  7. I found it thanks. Its the black screw/nob next to the choke.
  8. I just bought a set of 28mm PWK's and my old K&N clamp-on's don't fit. I would like to know if there is a place to get them fairly cheap. I bought my last pair form Rockymountainatv.com for $60 but they don't offer it in the size I need. Any ideas? I ride 90% sand so would the K&N's be the better choice or would the foam uni-filters be better? Thanks for the help.
  9. I bought a Hide-a-Key polished aluminum plate from ModQuad. I love it.
  10. I just bought a new set of 28mm PWK's and I need to know if I have to install the Idle kit that I had on my previous set of stock carbs. If I do can anyone tell me where I need to drill and tap. I have no clue where I would need to put these. If anyone has a picture that would help. Thanks
  11. The letters on the needles are "NAPF". The carbs are brand new so this is what they came with. Is this what I should run?
  12. This is what I use! I have the drill attachment also. Works great.
  13. I bought mine from ModQuad. It was fairly cheap and you get a discount if you are an HQ member. I think it was $15.95 then your 10% dicount. Alba sells the ModQuad for $15.95 and one other for $13.95. They are both in polished aluminum and are very easy to install. There are also some floating around on ebay. 14. No Its not hard to install and its every bit as worth it. If you get the plate you can change your timming to fit the mods on the bike. I put my plate on in about 20 min but I had all air tools in the shop. Shouldn't take you more than 40min start to finish.
  15. I just bought a set of 28mm PWK's for a KX100 from the dealer and I wanted to know if I should run the needle that comes with them. I haven't been able to run the bike because I am waiting for the cylinders to get back from the machine shop. Do you think I will be ok or is there another needle that I should use? I have look and can't find anythin gon this subject. Mods are as listed below! Thanks
  16. Hold on tight because there is going to be a BIG difference. Now save up for some porting and you will have a great set up.
  17. I'll be 20 in April but I ride with a 21 year old and another 19 year old. I would like to see weither or not there is a difference as well. Did your friend see a difference when he bored out the carbs?
  18. They also have a Renthal sproket. Made of case hardened nickel chromoly steel for $15.99. I have both the Primary Drive and the Renthal and the Primary drive looks every bit as good as the Renthal and its half the price. Get the PD!
  19. Yeah we should deffinatly go. How old are you guys? What other mods does your friend have to his banshee.
  20. Honestly I haven't raced a ported banshee. But I kick the shit out of a hevily modded YFZ and 450R. I have only been out 4 times with the port done so this season will be the true test I guess. I love the power. I would have to say that if I got it done anywhere else it would be passionracing. But I haven't ever complained. I love it just the way it is.
  21. Sweet! Thats what I was hoping for.
  22. Does anyone know what Throttle cable I need fro these carbs? I am currently running the Motion Pro twist throttle so I need the cable for the twist throttle.
  23. Definatly! Yeah $75 is a deal. I might have them bored out to 30mm but I'm not sure yet. Yeah I dont have the money for the lectrons.
  24. I take all my machine work to them. I always ride Sand mountain. I was out there 2 or 3 weeks ago. Couldn't have asked for a better saturday in Feb. Well until my bike took a shit. I'll look into those carbs. But I just called the Stealership and they gave me the price of the Carb off of the KX100 and it was like $75. I don't know if I can pass that up.
