can you take the springs off the stock fronts i am in the process of doing some winter work and would like to change te color of the springs and clean up a little rust on them.

what i have is a sand rail i bought at the begining of the summer it has a vw 1600cc engine vw trany think its from a bus its been a side project of mine but due to finances its taken a back burner it runs great starts right up i have some diferent seats the jegs plastic kind with paded covers just havent got them installed it has a new master cylinder. it need a new cutting brake since one side of the one thats on it is locked and wont work it also needs a wheel cylinder. the exaust isnt compleatly bolted on since i broke a bolt off when i was working on it and it needs a helicoil in onothe bolt whole for the exaust. other than that its fine the tires hold air but it could use rears since the are bald but it gets around fine and is quite fast i took it to silver lake one day. i have a t trailer for it that needs a new tire if some one is going to buy it ill get one on it. this was never titeld it has tail lights but they dont work i havent mesed with them so i dont know might be a fuse. wont take much to be street legle. i can get mor pics if some one is intrested i can email them. and it will have to be picked up localy. http://www.dunebuggy.com/users/adrenilinjunki

going 40 cuz it needs it i was going to go 20 atfirst but after looking at the cyl more closely and taking some mesurments its got to go .40 the reed spacers idea is scraped looking into powder coating some parts along with the frame but im going yellow on the frame with black plastic so i might just stay black havent decided yet. and i already got the head milled if it turns out to bee to much i have another stock one i can get done dosnt cost me much since i know the guy who does it

well i blew a head gasket out on thanksgiving so im in the proces of rebuilding i just sent the head to be shaved down 0.40 and im having to punch it out to .40 over with weisco pistons i picked up a set of t5s and toomy jets not quite sure what size right off the top of my head im advancing the timeing 3 degrees was thinking about some billit reed spaceres but not sure how much of a diferance the make or what size to go with. ive also striped down the chassis to paint it or powder coat depending on how much $$ it will run for the powder coat. so how does it sound? good combination?

im trying to sell this for a freind of mine its a 01 kx 250 with An FMF gnarly pipe boysen dual stage reeds renthal handel bars w/msr grips and new factory effex graphics kit and seat cover. hes never raced it and it has low hrs the tires still have over 50% tread life hes asking 3500 or best offer he also has a 01 kx125 but i dont know the details on it other than it is in good shape i have a picture of the 250 i will try to post but i can email it to you if your intrested if some ones intrested in a pacage deal he will sell both bikes and a trailer for 6000

i had the same problem my head lights worked when i took them off and wouldnt when i put them back on some how my lights them selfs went bad dont know how must have droped them or some thing. id use a volt meeter to check for power from the harness and just work your way back if you dont have one you can get one at wal-mart cheep that will work or a pick light wil work to.

yea silver lake is great and its about 30 min from my parents place in michigan so when im here i always try to go up i know theres a dune area in some were on around Illinois indana border on lake michigan but ive never been there
