  1. yeah, i like the old WWII jeeps, but that is way too far back, and that is worse than a cj5, atleast with a cj5 there are some parts still available, but with the older ones, its next to impossible to find original parts... i think im gonna call the guy tmrw, and see if a down payment is possible, to kind of "reserve" the jeep, and then pay it off with either graduation $$ or from work...
  2. well actually i do have a wrangler, a 1989... with the 4.2... i love my wrangler, but i was just looking for an old jeep to tool on, and make something out of it... i dont know, some guys at work kinda talked me out of it, i might still do it... still thinking...
  3. i dont think it comes with a metal top... and actually, i shouldnt have used the word restoration the way i did, i dont really want to do a "full" resto, just build it up, replace parts, make it look nice, and drive it, i dont really wanna run around like a chicken with my head cut off looking for old parts that work... EDIT: i think it comes with all the parts, basically the guy told me its complete except it doesnt currently run...
  4. ok, ever since i was little, and my dad used to bring home jeeps during the winter to plow our driveway from work, i have loved jeeps, and i finally got one of my own, a 1989 wrangler... but now i have a chance to get one to restore... i saw it in my local classifieds... its a 1960 jeep cj-5. it has an I4 engine, not currently running, and i dont know much about it yet, other than that it is "not a turn-key situation." from the picture in the classifieds the body looks good, it doesnt look bad at all.. the way i figure it, i can either rebuild the current engine, and run that, or i could just drop in a 4.2 or a v6 anyways... and then go from there, and restore it to like new condition, and make it an offroad machine. i was thinking maybe a 2 inch- 3 inch lift, with some 33's, and thats it, and just run it... i think i am definitely gonna buy it though, go this weekend and check out the frame and the body, see how it is... any input from jeep people or non jeep people is appreciated... pretty much my plan is, to take no less than 4-5 years restoring it, take my time, and do it right, since i am gonna be going to college this coming fall to be a mechainc, i figure its a good learning tool as well... any input from jeep people or non jeep people is appreciated...
  5. there is a hillclimb around here in Monson mass, about 30-45 minutes from me, its badass, some other people might know more about it than me, cuz ive never run it, but ive seen it... i think in the huevos 4 video that is the monson hillclimb, im almost 95% sure that that is the one in huevos 4 cuz at the beginning it says quaboag nationals on a sign, and monson is where those are held... EDIT: loco, i think the one you were talking about was the one i was talking about, in heuvos 4, i think its a white banshee, and he is getting to the lip at the top, and flips...
  6. nope, didnt work, the image was too big... if you have an email address i can send it to you...
  7. doesnt look bad at all... i like it... i will try and get a pic of my shee up, but its crappy so you would have to erase everything around it, and its old, i have new tires, and some new billet...
  8. lmao, come on, its not his fault he cant spell...
  9. to me, the banshee is one of the sickest looking quads ever... whether the design be from the 80's or not, plus there are plenty of quads from the 80's that to me looks like some of the ideas for the look of them are taken, and integrated into the new ones... the tecate 4 was an 80's quad, and it had styling way ahead of its time... you should be ashamed coming on a banshee site and knocking the look of a banshee...
  10. if u cant afford to have both then sell the craptor, easy as that, then you wouldnt have to catch hell... easy fix in my eyes, sell that 4 stroke POS to some slow (mentally, and soon to be physically) person, and keep the banshee and start modding...
  11. well im going to be getting a Nosshead soon, and i think i remember seeing special head bolts to use, like in a bullet shape, cant remember... i know ive seen lug nuts in the bullet style, but i thought i saw head bolts in that style too on a site somewhere... thanks in advance for any help...
  12. grab a heat gun, or a hair dryer, and run it along the decal for a little while, and then they will just peel off, and then either use a razor, or solvent to get the glue off, i have to do this all the time on cars and trucks at work, i use the heat gun, and then peel it with my nail, or a razor, depending on if its on a wondow, or the paint, and then use this stuff called "solv-all" its this blue crap that we keep in spray bottles, and you spray it on it, and just wipe the glue off...
  13. who is the king now then? better not be some 4-poke, lol
  14. wow, sounds crazy, where in mass are u located? i'll watch the news... so... did they get the dog?
  15. haha, larry the cable guy, lol... git r done
  16. anybody know the cascade website? maybe im just an idiot, lol and cant find it, but ive tried a few addresses and cant figure it out...

  18. hell yeah arctic cat, polaris is good too... i wanna get a 2004-2005 arctic cat firecat f5 sno pro, fast as hell, race sled, i like the new orange... sorry, off topic... sounds like you got a nice sled...
  19. lol, yup, you could probably cut that down to 100 words if you wanted to, instead the guy would rather write something the size of moby dick... GOOD FIND none the less, very informative...
  20. lol, screw that, good find, but long as hell, i just skimmed the article and it was very informative...
  21. LMAO.... thats a pretty good job stan anyways, you dont need plans, just go to your local gardening place or some place like that and buy 2 truck loads of dirt, then take a shovel, and go to work, or rent a bob cat and use that... its not like your a pro or anything, from what i saw on your video i can assume you arent going to be making any money off of what you use this ramp for, so why waste the steel? you dont need a steel ramp... just build a damn dirt jump and hit it...
