  1. My uncle has Ballturners (sp?) and his bike kicks ass in the lowend department but he lost a lot of top end. He's a big guy though (he's 6' 8" and around 220) so in the dunes its nice to have some low end to get out of the holes.
  2. Wait, your powder coating your "jugs" and "Head"? Damn that must hurt . . . .
  3. My dad has the single carb kit. He got that and T-4's for around $500 used. The single carb kit will usually run you back that much by itself new. Longrods also help the low end a lot. As for gearing, i wouldn't mess with the sprockets. The stock set up is fine (unless you ride in the dunes and get a taller tire with more paddle.)
  4. HAHA, my cousin bought one and he didn't notice a thing. I laughed at him for wasting the $35 I love buying things once i know they work from someone else.
  5. What kind of riding do you do? Woods, dunes, hill shooting, or drag? In the dunes top-end is a must, although i don't know what you mean by 2 into 1 pipes. Unless your talking about Toomey's 2 into 1 spark arestor thing. I have FMF Fatty's on my bike and they run great. The low end isn't the best, but once you hit the power band you better hold on.
  6. It all depends on tires and gearing, you could screw your acceleration over but have you banshee top out at a high speed.
  7. Check your air filter, make sure you're jetted right, reeds could do it, as well as low compression, too rich of an oil mixture can also do it. You have to keep in the power band too, if you rode a 4-stroke before a banshee is a big difference. You have to ride it different. Hope i helped.
  8. I just shaved my fenders, i'll let you know if it goes faster But seriously its just for looks, i cut mine right before the fender levels out, so there is just a little be of 'wing thing' BTW, i ride in the dunes so mud isn't a problem for me
  9. WTF does this mean exactly, explain it in English please. the crossover tube is used to equalize the pressure between each cylinder. since the boost bottle is bigger, it increases the captivity of the pressure. Oh, ok I gettit now, the pressure from the one cylinder goes back through its closed reed valve, crosses over in the boost bottle, goes through the reed valve of the next cylinder to equalize the two cylinders. Makes more sense now... Yes exactly, you see. It does the impossible. But wait, that would mean it doesn't work, but people claim it does?!? What does this mean!?!?!?!?!?!?
  10. Loosen chain adjuster all the way (so you can tighten the chain later) then run the chain through the counter shaft sprocket and run the chain around the back sprocket until the two ends meet. fold the extra over on top of itself and use a grinder to grind down the pins so the extra chain comes off. Link the two ends with the master link and wha-la. Make sure you don't make the chain too tight though, remember you can adjust it later with the chain adjustment on the axel.
  11. Yes, i was once burdened with an ugly 'shee. The '94 Purple and Yellow . Lucky for me it is now red and black wich i like much much more
