  1. what otis said just tap the side of the carb it should stop.
  2. at first when it was just fouling plugs it ran good but when the last one was white we put one more it and it was really hard to start and it was really hard to keep it running. it had no power at all. then i went over his house later that night when the motor had sat for a few hours and was cold. we tried one more plug, new gas and cleaned the air filter. it wouldnt even start by kicking it. how could the jetting be that far off from the factory? any other ideas? anyone? thanks for the help

  4. my freind got a blaster the other day brand new and we went riding today. all it did was foul plugs, it fouled like 4 in 2 hours. then after each plug it wouldnt start, we had to push it. ounce it started it would run good until it fouled again. on the last plug when i took it out it was white not black the others and it was very hot and after that it wouldnt start and when it did it had no power at all, we let it cool and then tried again. is there a possibility he blew it up? i mean its brand new and i was watching him he rode it fine. no exessive reving or anything it shouldnt have gotten that hot. i dont have a compression tester but he has a warranty so they should give him a new one right?its also a holliday weekend so there not open. sorry about the novel i just wanna ride thanks for any help at all
  5. yes i understand that but it doesnt ever bog at all, it just does the reving and every time i go up on the main it gets better. should i just go back down to a 260 or so and leave it or what? im just not undsertanding why i could even have a 290 in it and be able to ride it if im that far off. cause if i should be at 240 or so like most of you thats pretty far off. i would think it wouldnt even run and if it did it would just foul plugs all day. i run 50:1 with klotz and 93 pump gas. also what do i cut the plus with to do a plug chop? i dont have a dremel or anything that would cut it. what about a grinder? thatnks once again for all your help guys
  6. ill try the plug chop in the morning but my understanding is if i have 290 mains in and i open the throttle all the way it should bog if its to rich correct? and it will rev high and fast if its lean? if so i need to still go up on the mains and every time i go up on the main its gets better and better. so i dont understand whats wrong. but ill deff. try the plug chop tomarrow and get back with you guys. thanks for all the help!
  7. i checked for an air leak and nothing . i took starting fluid, cause thats all i had, and sprayed everything infront and behind the carbs and nothing just idled normally. from what you guys are saying i almost definatly have an airleak so what should i do next? any help at all is appreciated.i wanna ride it but i dont wanna blow it up.
  8. i have a completely stock banshee and i put a k&n on it and took the lid and snorkle off. i was told a while back that i only needed to go up one or 2 sizes on my main im up to 290's now and still needing bigger. is this a problem or am i just getting alot of air in that box? thanks for any help also it seems like if i open the throttle all the way its fine but when i get into high rpms it has no power. its not the throttle position its the rpms.
  9. im in the need of some new tires and rims. i need all four of both. my question is can i get any package deals from anywhere and if i do it online wheres the cheapest place to get tires. i also need to know what kind of tires to get, i ride mostly on grassy feilds and trails kinda want an all around tire. also i want off-set rims to widen it a little. whats a good brand and what size should i get. i like the look of dmcbanshe's rims and tire combo but i dont wanna get them if there not any good for me. thanks for any help
  10. yeah there lined up and yeah every thing looks right and it works if your gettin on it but if your just like cruisin its looses tension but it still moves the lever on the case. i dont understand. not silver lake yet i wish just up to my cabin for the trails. thanks for the help

  12. I just put in a new clutch cause it was slipping real bad and it went all well and made a huge differance. Now that ive got it in something weird happens, if you let it sit and idle when you pull the cluch it its liek theres nothing even there just the lever but if you rev it it like binds back up i guess you could say and grabs the clutch so it feels normal. If your riding threw trails or somthing and its in low rpms its loses tension in the cable but if you rev it it comes back i dont understand this at all. sorry for the bad explenation hopefully someone else has had this problem before and understands. thanks for any help
  13. i do get it lined up with that and it still wont work but i dont need a new clutch cause i cant get it to grip or slip but not at the same time. i put the phillips screw all the way and and went like quarter turns all the way out and it idk why i but i still cant get it. thanks for any help
  14. ive been out in the garage for at least 3 hours total and still cant get it ive had it apart and back together about 10 times now ! before my clutch wouldnt grip in the top end it would just rev. how do you perform a clutch adjustment? i followed the clymer manual clutch adjustment thing and it didnt work? if i put it in 1st and kick it, it moves like normal but if i pull the lever in it moves still. can someone explain to me how to do the adjustment? any help at all would be appreciated thanks, Dan
  15. ok just rejetted up to 230's and changed my oil .It runs good but i still have the reving problem but now it seems worse. also when i pull the clutch lever in all the way it sticks and i have mess with it to get it unstuck i sprayed the cable and the thing on top of the case( i know im a noob) with alot of wd40 to see if that was it and its not. please help i really dont wanna have do the clutch thing ... thanks again
  16. i dont have any other mods as of now but ill try the jets and i know for sure i can start in second gear with stock gearing. my plugs also look good and i change myt oil every 4 or so rides. thanks for the help man

I cant really tell because i dont know all that much but when im stoped and i rev it to the moon and let the clutch go it wont do a wheelie and it dosnt spin the back tires either but it is revving. i dont get it though because when the cement is wet i can smoke em all day? and in gravel i dont want it to and it spinds em.it seems if you open the throttle all the way it doesnt pick up fast it just revs but if you eas into it about maybe half throttle its much much faster. is this my jetting? i have a k&n with no lid or snorkle and all i did was go up on the mains jets one (im at 210) should i go up more or do i need to be looking into a clutch? thanks in advance, Dan
  18. I got my banshee from my cousin not to long ago and he put a k&n on it and he didnt rejet i was wondering what jets i should put in? I live in the detroit MI area im not sure what the elevation is, and the filter is the only mod on it. Ive never rejetted before so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help

  21. I wanna flip my front rims really bad but im not exactly sure how. I did a search and i couldnt find a complete post on how to do it. If someone could help with some instructions thad be great. Also where do i buy the valve stems? And what size drill bit do i need? thanks for your help Dan

  25. Ive heard when you change the oil to take it all out put gas in there to clean it and then empty and then put new in. But that kinda sounds weird to me, any imput on that? And what oil should i use? thanks in advance.
