I just read in Cycle World the shootout between the zx10r, aprilia mv and the gsxr1000. They said on the 10r they could slam down from sixth to first and not drag the rear wheel at all. I'm saving up for a street bike. Hopefully in a year or so I'll be able to get one.

those new kawis are really awesome for 05. They have slipper clutches and undertail exhausts, which are pretty unique features for the 600 class. I believe those slipper clutches are like $1500 parts... I thought the zx12rs were the fastest bike. and I read somewhere about a gsxr600 with an air filter doing mid 10s 1/4 mile, sounds pretty fast for a basically stock bike.

I was wondering if I got the corsa dual exhaust that exits out the rear, would the tips fit into the two slots that are on the rear ss style bumper? sort of a random question but I cant find any measurements or info anywhere.

I would like to hear sound clip, if its not too much trouble. I dont think theres much difference in the 5.3 and 4.8 exhausts. would anyone recommend just getting the exhaust tubing from pep boys and running it straight back?

its just a small v8 but it is a v8. I really like the sound of the corsa exhaust. I'm not looking for a dual exhaust system. just performance and something ridiculously loud. we had a flowmaster on the sierra and it sounds great and added some power but its not the sound Im looking for. The corsa sounds kind of like a hot rod or something.

thanks guys. right now I'm looking at the corsa because the sounds really good. I looked for glasspacks but I couldnt find any. My cousin has them on his c10 and they sound awesome, but I couldnt find any for this truck. http://www.corsaperf.com/flashsilverado.htm they sound pretty loud. the only difference is our truck is a 4.8l.

We got a brand new 05 Silverado LS today. I'll get some pics up pretty soon. We got it for 14500 out the door, we traded the sierra in for 8k, so it was a pretty good deal. I'd like to put an exhaust system on it, but I don't know what to get. I want something stupidly loud. any suggestions?
