sounds like some f4's to me. they are pretty good bikes. i like the feel of their power and they must be pretty reliable cause i dont seem many of them in our service dept at work.
yeah look for an F3. those are damn good bikes and were honda's 600cc racebike until 97 i think when the F4 came out. im not a fan of ducatis. to me, they dont look good, the valves are shit, and the clutch noise is horrific.
dude thats hella clean. good score. that price is fair as well. its just one of MANY future investments you are about to make in search of the all mighty HP number.
here is what a leaned out piston looks like. to me yours look like massive blow-by, but it could just be funny lighting. put a new topend in it, bore hone pistons rings gasket, the whole shebang, then do a leak down if you still think it leaned out.
not that much fuel. its dyno proven that stock carbs do give the best results until you get some pretty wild porting. PM Banchetta. he is the god of the dyno and he can direct you to more technical info about carbs on a mild motor.
also check the alignment of the front end. doesnt need to be perfect but within .000001" just take a few measurements to make sure the tires are perfectly parallel. and remember that you are driving a quad not a BMW.
yea, just get some angled pipe so it shoots out each side. then jet it waaaay rich and it should throw flames. you know that is if you dont try to p/u mike's fighter first. he should cut you a pretty sweet deal on it since its used too.
they should scream on the topend, that is if you have the motor to pull them. your bottom will not be as strong, dont know how this will effect you accerleration. how much porting do you have?
take lotsa gas. you can always too little, but you can never have too much. for a dune trip i take 13.2 gallons. 2 full 5 gals. and a full tank. i always have left over gas but we drink a lot of berr in between.
