  1. He didn't neccessarily say he's doing the backflip on the Banshee. More power to ya if you do, post it. Welcome and post when you can I'm always up to see some freestyle stuff.
  2. I'm not trying to be a fucker I figured you'd take your cousin up to run it against him. I really want to know how this turns out. Did you check the site? "B-Bike Pro National Record Holder 520cc T-Rex Banshee with Nitrous Grand River Drag Chassis 3.84sec 84mph" That's a pretty fast bike on dirt and you could stud that up for ice I don't think a sled would touch it. All this is purely my opinion I know nothing about drag racing except for fun in a field. But I do remember when Shooter was bragging about the HP they get out of those bikes it's pretty impressive, he was trying to get over 100HP. Such as this "It took years of research and extensive dyno and flow bench testing to develope a 350cc engine that can produce over 90hp on alcohol. This type of porting can bring your cylinders up to speed with many big stroker engines. We do not sacrifice reliability or rideability with this engine. It can be used for any pro level rider looking for extreme power. "
  3. Hope they are ok and able to ride again. I know when I woke up in the hospital after my
  4. That is correct
  5. You better have something good in that room, not just stamps or a Barbie Doll collection.
  6. If he's running a GRR bike those are some seriously fast drag bikes look at there site. banshee0044 I think it would be your civic duty to haul that sled up there and race him. You need to walk the walk to talk the talk.
  7. That's like back to the future fast. Could be on to something here. Can you tell me who's going to win the superbowl and the score?
  8. I've seen vids of Banshee's taking on snowmobiles on the ice. I was amazed first time I saw it. I think Grand River Racing had some on their site you might check it out. It's amazing what studs can do for a quad on ice it's more traction than tires on dirt. I can't imagine 120+ that's alot of studs.
  9. Just build a 10'X10'X10' cube out of 1/2 inch steel and weld yourself inside with a shotgun. Best protection for your valuables. Somebody may steal your cop car and your Banshee while your protecting your stuff though. Air holes are optional it depends on if you want to use that shotgun or not. On second thought maybe you should enclose your property in a rectangular steel box so you can protect everything.
  10. You can get the Tusk tie rod ends for about $20-25 per rod(both ends) @ Rocky Mountain. I had to buy them when I went to my quicksand arms and haven't had a bit of problems with them.
  11. I called up Eric @ Elka (450-655-4855) for mine. You can ask for info on the Elka site and they will send you a package of prices, stickers and a business card for somebody @ Elka to talk too.
  12. Just another thought, I'd definately do the Elka's first. You can always flip your front rims around for the added width. I had mine flipped when I got it and never had a problem them when I decided it was time and unloaded on the new frame, shocks, and arms had a little hole in my wallet for awhile but it's so nice now it was worth it.
  13. If that's what the mag said I wouldn't read it anymore sounds like they weren't properly jetted. MAKE SURE YOU GET A FILTER PLATE FOR THE AIRBOX. You can buy them from NOSS Machine see the banner at the top. I have the 916's they sound awesome and have lots of power down low. I did alot of research before I bought my pipes. When I got my Banshee I wanted T5's but the HQ tells me it's not for my riding style. So then I was set on Paul Turner mids and would have got them but I decided the reviews for the DMC's were similar and I settled on the price advantage of the DMC's. My style is trails, mud and I jump anything and everything I can.
  14. Interesting opinion on the premix ratio. I think I'll stay at 80:1 though properly jetted and haven't lost 1psi in nearly 60 gallons of fuel, ordering another case next week.
  15. When I was looking for the lines for my Banshee they had all kinds of lines for just about anything. You can contact them and if they don't have them they should be able to point you in the right direction. I think they have them though.
  16. Check the Galfer or Streamline sites they should have what you're looking for.
  17. On another note if you plan on doing alot of water riding the stock carbs tend to get stuck with their slides open so you really may want to consider the Trinity single carb setup then you can throw all that TORS (Throttle Over Ride System) crap away. Also about all the engine mods you should get your shee first and get used to it before you go all out, plus then you'll know where you need to upgrade. And get a plate for your air filter before anything else because the stock system lets alot of crap through to the engine.
  18. Just a guess but that "burbling" sound would have been overheating and hearing the radiator bubble. I don't have that problem. One of the above mentioned Noss or cool heads will help to keep everything cool also inline coolers and water wetter or engine ice can be used. Again I don't run any of that stuff and I haven't had any problems. If your going to do some serious mudding a good set of GBC paddlemasters they will take you farther than most utility 4X4's, but you need to keep water out of the engine and keep your bearings and chain in good working condition. Take into consideration the slower less powerful machines behind you in the mud when you punch it and let a 5lb hunk of mud fly with the paddles. Your friends will let some brown fly in there pants if they see a paddled Banshee work in the mud. Say you pull up in the mud next to a spinning 4x4 and hammer it riding a wheelie out they'll be impressed to say the least. Get going across a muddy field and the rooster tails you can throw are atleast 8 ft high when you get on it. As far as regular tires I was able to get around better than a polaris 400 scrambler X 4x4 with my stock tires. Just keep them spinning and you'll claw through anything. I think that the ability to select your gears is alot better than the belt drive in mud. I remember that I have seen mudlites on a Scrambler and it got around really well but the Banshee is a whole different animal so you need to look for someone who's tried them before buying for an opinion. If you thought your trail blazer was wicked you're going to think it's a dandelion compared to the Banshee.
  19. Here's the link to the DMC site http://www.dmc-on-line.com/ they have two kinds the Aliens(Duals) and the 916's (single) exhaust. They are good low mid pipes. You can call them to see where the best place to buy them around you is if your interested. I think my 916's ended up being $460 shipped. Another set of pipes are Paul Turner mids(from Duncan Racing) but they are pricey. I don't know anything about CT pipes. The pipe question has been asked many times so you might search and see what you come up with. You won't hurt anything riding in 1st and 2nd as long as you have air flowing through the radiator. I've never had any problems with mine. You could get a temp gauge so you know you're OK. I don't really know anything about the tires but you can search and find something on the HQ. I know theres threads on the RAZRS. Make sure you get something with decent wear characteristics alot of the racing tires don't last as long as the others. As for the head you can get it shaved which will increase compression and give you more power. I'm sure you'd benefit from it, mine came shaved. Also do a search on it there's threads on it. You can also get a new head from Noss or a cool head they have changeable domes so that you can adjust your compression to your liking and available fuel octane. Just to clarify you port the cylinders and shave the head. You could have porting done which would enhance the machines powerband to your riding characteristics. There are all sorts of things that you can do and searching the HQ and reading is going to be your best bet on deciding which direction to go.
  20. You definately can't go wrong with Elkas. Janssen makes some sweet stuff.
  21. Sorry didn't see that you asked me a question. I'm liking the 15 better(getting used to it) but the 16 is still my favorite. I didn't mean that I can't ride them in first with the 15 what I meant was I can't keep it up with the 15 like I could with the 16 I'm getting better though(I think I need a Viagra Sticker). When I mentioned 1st gear I just meant that it's pretty well useless for pulling wheelies, I can't wheelie very slow. I could pull a wheelie easier in 4th running the 16 than I can with the 15? I'm not sure why but keep in mind that this is on dirt and grass not sand. I'm assuming it's more a function of tire slip than anything else. I did have my paddles on last weekend so I could screw around on our sand bar and it's much easier to ride the wheelies in the sand with the 15/40 gearing and I think that gearing would be awesome in the dunes.
  22. For trails I recommend the DMC 916 pipes, reasonably priced and will give you what your looking for. Do a search for pipes and you should be able to find info on whatever your looking for. Also if you've got a little extra money the Trinity single carb is pretty nice. I'm running Titan Fast Trekkers on mine they don't do to bad for trails and if your not planning on going more than 1st or 2nd I wouldn't get anything to expensive such as Razr's because you're not going to utilize them at that speed. It was 16.5 degrees here this morning and all my friends wimped out so I went out with my mom on her sportsman and I never really got out of 1st gear. My setup works well for that or smoking my friends quads too.
  23. Led your not supposed to admit that. I used to get the land owners tags here they are $1 apiece but even with our almost 1000 acres the deer are always bigger on the other side of the fence plus we happen to border about 5000 acres of gov owned "natural prarie" which amounts to alot of weeds and alot of deer.
  24. I was thinking that you would need to get a hunting license on top of the deer license in Iowa? I think that's an additional $80, not sure if you need it though. I'm going to get 3 licenses this year one shotgun and two muzzleloader it'll cost $63. We grow them big and plenty up here. Went out with the spotlight the other night and must have seen nearly 50 in the two fields we checked a nice big probably 250# 12 pointer just laying there staring at us. If you drove one mile with a spotlight in the fields up here I guarantee you'd see 100+ deer. Got me a maybe 190# 6 pointer two weeks ago with my truck. 70 mph and it only broke my grill. He only made it about ten feet. The deer are so thick up here the state has radio commercials for the slogan "Do not veer for deer" To many people getting killed trying to avoid the deer. I had heard the number was nearly 200 people killed but I'm not sure if that's state or nation?
  25. I've got a PSE Nova, I really like it PSE is a good bow company. I bought mine about 9 years ago and it's accurate with awesome consistancy. Definately will drop a well shot deer. It's amazing the amount of force the PSE bows put into the arrow if I shoot the same arrow as my friends with higher draw rates my arrows always go deeper, I guess it all in the cams but I'm no expert. I use mine mostly for shooting carp and the occasional bull frog I don't have the time to bow hunt anymore.
