  2. Whats the best way to cut them? Just curious, I am currently debating whether to do it or not. THanks
  3. I had a similar problem with my shift shaft. It stuck me in 3-4th gears. Took it apart, it was completely out of position on the star. I bought everything new, shaft assembly from stealership, modded shift star from boonman, etc. No problems since. Good luck.
  4. I have PC Platinums with the spark arrested silencers. All around I like them, but I do get stomped by my buddies with toomeys on the sand. Thinking of switching to FMF SSTs or more of a high end set of pipes in the middle of the summer , but not sure yet.
  5. I too can only see the top of the pic. I have shock pros flame covers, they match my Ceet flame graphics kit perfect. Anyone have clues on how to clean these things? I don't know how to post pics, but then again, I don't have any to post yet.
  6. 2+2 axle and noss head pricing and info please.
  7. Thanks to all, I think that I will be buying the bushings, swinger bearings, etc over the next few weeks, so that I won't have many unexpected costs while reassembling. What parts in particular do you guys recommend to have coated at the same time? I was thinking that I may get a better deal if I have the hubs and swing arm done too. Thanks again
  8. That is my fear too, that I'll get it apart and won't be able to reassemble.
  9. When I was doing my last wash down and clean up before putting the shee away for the winter and realized how messed up the bottom of it is. It is missing A LOT of paint and is starting to rust. I was wondering what you guys think it would take (time wise) to go down to the frame, have it powdercoated, and put it back together. I have had engines out of cars before, and don't think that I will have any major issues. The engine will be pulled whole, not tearing it down or anything. Also, what usually needs to be replaced when this is being done? Suspension bushings/ bearings? My small budget says that I need to think about all costs before starting, as I have to be able to ride like a month after I start the process. I will have a complete week off in March, and am trying to decide whether or not to do this. What do you guys think?

    Silver Lake

    Thanks, currently working on schedule......
  11. A little FIY. I went to the Detroit auto show and saw the new Z06. It is very bad ass. The barbie doll that was talking about it said that with the 500hp, it will run the quarter in the 11.7s. That is hella fast, but then she also stated that these cars don't have announced pricing. I have also heard from other sources besides here that the tag will be around 65k. It is fitting for a car of this caliber, and because it is the fastest car chevy has ever made. I currently own an older Mustang, and am pretty sure I don't want to run one of these things when I find one on the street. Then again, no one my age will be able to afford one anyway.
  12. I too am interested in nerfs that utilize the sotck heel guards. I would actually prefer to get aftermarket guards as well. My only problem is that everytime I find them, they are waaaaay too expensive (read: IMS). Anyone know anything about these? Thanks.
  13. Thanks guys, I guess I'll have to check that out. What about sprockets? Does it matter? I'm really new to this and have no real clue.
  14. What chains and sprockets do you guys run? What's best? I am looking for reliability and long life. I only run the dunes and trails, no racing. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
  15. I have one, like 3 rides on it. I went up one main size. I run 290s I think, with pc platinums and K&N on a pro flow. By the way, it isn't waterproof, but it does dry out quickly if you bury your shee in the mud. Trust me, I know.
  16. How much for the case saver and the skid plate, shipped to 48146? Thanks.

    Silver Lake

This will only be my second year with the shee. When does Silver Lake open, and when do you guys start going? I can't wait. Got a set of haulers over the winter and am itchin to try them out. Thanks.
  18. Check Ebay, and pick up a billet key relocater bracket. I bought mine for like $10, and it is aluminum and mounts on the two rear tank bolts. The key stays under the seat. very clean look. I just bought mine and haven't checked, but some companies say that the factory wiring even reaches it. For $10, you can't go wrong.Ebay Hide a Key Auction Hope it helps.
  19. I just bought works front shocks, (haven't received them yet ) and I was wondering if a works rear shock is really worth the money. I was thinking that I would just do all three at one time. What do you guys think? I am thinking probably a single rate with an adjustment for the rear. I only ride dunes and trails, and I'm kinda new to this whole thing (ridden banshee 6 times). Thanks.
  20. I don't have T5s, but two of my friends do. They have individual spark arrestors for each silencer, but they attach with snap rings. The arrestor has a sort of flange on it, you butt it up to the end of the silencer, and then force the snap ring onto it. The ring is hard to get in there, but once its in, its secure. I personally dont like the way that they hang off the back of the silencer, but it looks and sounds better than the 2 into one "hush" kit. I think that they got their full systems through our local stealership. Hope this helps.
  21. I just bought some triple rate Works shocks with rezzies used on Ebay, and I was wondering what mounts or clamps you guys use for the reservoirs. I was looking at UPP mounts, or some billet ones on Ebay. What works best? 1 or 2 per side? Also my shocks are setup for around a 190 lb rider and I only weigh around 160. Will this make a big difference? I am the first guy in my group to buy aftermarket shocks, so i have no one to ask. If this does need to be fixed, how much does it usually run? Would it involve respring and revalve? Do I have to send them out to Works? I only have pipes, filter, and boost bottle. I only ride at Silver Lake Dunes, and trails. I hope these help me keep up with my buddy with a yfz450. Thanks for any help you guys can get me.
  22. As it turned out, the shift claw fell off the star as you guys said. Thanks for the tip. My shift claw on the shaft is a little loose, so I'm ordering a new one from an online dealer. I'm also planning on getting a modded shift star while I'm at it. Thanks again for the help.
  23. Does this require extending the wires? The guy i bought my shee from relocated the key to the tank cover plastic by hole sawing it. I am going to put a K&N sticker over that hole if I can find another key mount.
  24. I just got back from Silver Lake here in Michigan after breaking my Banshee. The shifter is stuck in what I believe to be 3rd and 4th gears. It doesn't ratchet like it used to, it is either up or down. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? I have heard that it could just be a part on the shift shaft that might be bent. I am really hoping this is it, because I do not want to have to have my case opened. I would trust myself to pull the motor and even do the top end, but not the trans. Please let me know what you think. Also, If I do pull the motor, I would like to do some mods while I'm there. I was thinking of adding a milled head. I know a guy who has a 30 under head for sale cheap. What would this affect on my motor? Any problems associated with this? Would I still be able to run 93 octane? I wouldn't need like aftermarket carbs or anything like that right? all I have is pipes and a k&N. Thanks a lot for any answers you guys have.
