  1. Yes my buddy ratted me out t. I seen his statement that he wrote to the cops and my name was all over it. He said that the whole thing was my fault and my idea, and said that when we seen the sop that I yelled GO GO GO. Thats impossible because we were both wearing full face helmets and he had loud pipes and my pipes were semi loud not to mention he was way behind me. I actually had it sold before the cops came to my house the next day. I could have lied and said that I sold it to someone and it was them riding and not me...... oh well i guess I know who is not my friend now .
  2. Thanks guys for the opinions! How much is the system going to cost about? I am proally getting a 1994 GT Convertable next week. What is the largest diameter tail pipes I can get and how does a flame thrower system work? Should I get chrome, stainless steel or something else? Thanks again for the help
  3. I have some sprokets from my banshee. I have the stock 14 tooth that is about 50% left wear. I also have a 17 tooth that I drove 2 times with. I went once for about 3 minutes at night on the streets after I installed it, Then I took a long ride and toped my machine out on the highway like road that I later was fined for being on. With the 14 tooth I heard but am unsure that it will go 73 mph. The 17 tooth will barely fit the stock chaine and sproket but It will fit. The banshee will also go alot faster. 1 st gear felt like 3rd. and 4th felt alot faster then 6th. I also have the stock plastic reeds in very good condition. I dont know if they are worth anything but I will take what I can get.
  4. It is very easy to install and matches the yamaha yz blue perfectly. It does not effect riding at all and gives you that 1 gallon reserve. It also looks cool.

  6. Makes me wonder what if I would have had that 17 tooth on and wouldent have followed my buddie... i.e. went all the way down to the gravel pitt and then too the tracks back.......
  7. Ok I bought and installed an IMS gas tank. I rode with it for 4 rides and took it off before I sold my banshee b/c I could get more that way. Retail on these is 250.00 but I will take what ever I can get. These things are worth it because you can go very far. It also has a 1 gallon reserve. You use your stock petcock and these are extremly easy to install. e-mail me if interested [email protected]
  8. I am looking for a mustang. I dont really need it to be faster then stoc however I do need that howl noise. I love that howling exhaust sound. How can I make that extremly loud? I dont like the dragster or borla type sound. Should I get an SVT version? Any advice on buying used? Thanks
  9. By the way my buddy could have died in a few ways, 1 he could have been laying with his bike and been hit by the car, 2 he could have got knoked out and drowned and when he feel he was in 5 th gear. What would you do if your buddy rated you out? I miss my banshee
  10. Allright I have a story for you guys of how I messed up. Ok here is how it goes. I month ago my buddy calls me up and wants to go riding. He had a 2004 cr 125. He talks me into going and also riding on the street. I had an 01 banshee with the below done to it. Now to get down to the gravel pit hills we would ride up the road (in town) and then take alleys to get down to the Rail road tarcks. And then from the tracks we would take a long trail threw a no atv park and then drive a little on the street. But this time we drove the street the whole way. It is about a mile stretch of (high way but its not a highway) type road. We were one city block on it and we see a cop pulling out. I am in 5th gear and in front, my buddy is behind me by like 15 yards. I top it out into 6th and fly down the road. Then by the stop light I slow down, he passes me goes about 100 yards in front of me and then turns into a park. Now I slam on my breaks and slide for about 50 yards before I turn into the park. Now in the park it is about 1 and a half car width paved path with a fence on both sides. I hit all my gears wrong in the park and I drive 2nd for a while then hit 3rd. Now I turn around and the cop is about 4 inches from making contact with my rear. LET ME TELL YOU THAT WAS EXTREMLY SCARY! While I am riding 3rd my buddy is way ahead of me to the point where I cant see him. I am very scared b/c It is slipery and I do not want to get killed by the cop. So I continue down the path and at the end it either goes up a hill to the left to a club or to the right down a hill into grass i.e. not paved. I turn down into the grass and I see my buddys cr laying there with the rear wheel spining. He flew into the river. I see him get up and try to get the water out of his goggles. The cop then comes flying down and hits my buddies bike, and then a tree. I seen my buddie was ok so I continued down the trail that we usually took. I get to the end and cross the street onto the rail road tracks. I was extremly surprised that there was no one there to cut me off. I then road 6th gear on the rr tracks and hid down there for a while. I ended up getting away only to find the cops at my house the next day. I also ended up selling it before the cops could get to me for 2500.00 . I got fingerprinted and charged with the following: REAP "Reclass endangerment of another person, no license, no registration, no insurance, evading arest. Now I took a huge loss 2500 for an 01 in exretmly good shape with work done to it. I mean sikloene everything the best of everything. My point behind this story is if you are caught pull over. ITS NOT WORTH RUNNING!!! Luckly I was only 17 when this happened and considered a minor. I am getting probation, fines, and half the cost to fix the 04 crown vic. He ended up sellinbg his 04 cr125 for 2900.00 ITS NOT WORTH IT!!! Please learn from my misteak. I MISS MY BANSHEE
  11. I ran a 17 tooth just fine and my shee was basically stock. It doesnty take that much longer to top it out. But what shocked me was how much faster you can go in first gear, the first time I was on it. I used my stock chaine and stock rear sproket. It just barely fit. You have to cut a small piece off the inside of your stator cover so the sproket fits. Oh and by the way It is a pain to push the swig arm far front to fit the stock chaine. I paid 20.00 for my sproket amd it was a regular cheap one. For road riding Id definitly get it.
  12. I was wondering with a 13 tooth what is the max speed in 1 threw 6th gear in every gear. If any of you ever checked the maxed speed in each gear please tell me what they were and what size sproket. I used 14/41, 17/41, and now a 13/41. thanks
  13. The thing is his is alot more fun to ride then mine. It is proally because he uses a 12 tooth front and I use a 13 tooth.

My buddy has a 1992 banshee that has the following mods, but he has no title and is the 3rd or 4th owner He wants 2500: Dirt Digger clutch Pure sports bandits rear and front Old style trinity pipes with the oval silincer Twist throttle with pro grips and acerbis hand guards Side winder chaine and rear sproket with cheap front one After market handel bars Billet impeller and inline cooler for the radiator Jet Kit After market grab bar Skid plates The things that are wrong or could go wrong: He rolled it down a massive hill in hazelton pa and he had to buy new plastics and bend his frame out with a trouch as well as buy the new plastics. We did a compression test and his left cylinder has about 115 or 114 compression and the right has about 119 120 compression. He is worried that the seals in the crankcase are bad and this is causeing the problem. What is the rebuild compression? The other problem is that the tires wigle back and forth in the front and he thinks the A arms are bad. Should I sell my 2001 for 3500 that is in EXCELLENT shape and buy his for his frim price of 2500.00? Or should I keep mine and pass this offer. I cant decide Thanks for the help

  16. I am going to get a side winder 13 tooth front with stock rear size and side winder chaine. I all ready have the low tension carbon tech reeds, K&N filter and moded air box. I am looking to get pipes next. I will either get toomey T5 or T6's. I ride alot of trails and also go up MASSIVE MASSIVE hill climbs. I am looking to get the T6s with a dyna ignition system. And then maybe get alba to do a basic port job and put largher carbs on. Should I get the chrome pipes or unpainted ones with me getting the unpainted ones jet hot coated? Should I buy the kit? Can I jet them easily? How hard is chrome to maintain? I want to smoke my buddies crf 450 and maybe his cr 250. But I want reliability. Thanks for the advice
  17. I have a 01 banshee with my mods below. I can beat my buddies yz 125 that has fmf piopes and boysen reeds. But my buddys 04 Cr125 beats me by 4 feet. How do I work my throttle in a drag race? Can I just hold the throttle open and clutch and shift, or should I drop the throttle each time i shift, and how far should I drop it. Oh and I also want to beat my buddies crf 450 4 wheeler thanks.

  19. I am useing stock bars and they do not hit at all. By the way this is a big hint BUY IT FROM ROCKY MOUNTAIN ATV CATALOG. They sold it to me for like 200.00 with free shipping. You get the tank, new gas cap, new gasget and new fuel line with mounting hard wear.I am not any where near a machanic, I just learned how to change gear oil but still cant adjust a chaine. PM me if you need help finding rock mountain atv catalog. I seen the tank selling other places for 250.00 plus shipping. Also PM me if you need any help instaling it.
  20. I bought one and it fit perfect. All you have to do is cut the plastic on the sides that say yamaha. You also should file down the corners of your top radiator guard. This will stop the wires from rubbing. You have to use your stock petcock which is easy to remove. Just watch you dont rip your fuel lines when removing them.,

  22. I had a stock banshee, I put a boost bottle, 13 tooth front sproket, K and n filter with moded air box and moded my stock pipes. All I can say is this thing really rips now. OK here is my big concern. I Took the three screwqs out of the back of my silincer and removed that part. Then you have the cap with the internal guts. I had a buddy cut the whole guts out. He went fluch with the end cap and the curved pipe piece fell off. So he welded the curved piece onto the cap. The other one he cut just above the ring so it is a hair away from being cut flush with the other one. My question is will I blow my motor or need rejetting, do to this mod? How can I tell if I need rejetting?

  24. Will the tors system kill my motor if I hold my banshee flat i.e. Wide the F open in 1,st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th gear for prolonged periods? as in keeping it in 3rd or 4th all the way up the hill with the throttle pinned?Thanks
