  5. Whatup fellas? I recently mounted my new TAG T2's and I'm having trouble getting the throttle assembly and the brake ressi to fit right. So I picked up the thumb throttle from a TRX125. It looks great. The assembly is nice and small and the lever is all aluminum and pretty long. I need some help though. Does anyone know how much pull the stock Yami lever has? This Honda lever pulls the cable exactly 1 7/16" (3.5cm). I don't want to use it if it's not gonna open my throttle enough, you know? So any help is greatly appreciated as always. Mule skinner
  6. thanks man
  7. Guys, I'm finally getting her back together from having every single nut and bolt out and ever moving part disassembled. All I'v got to do is fill her up with coolant and fuel and hope shee fires. I'm stuck right now though. The small(3/8") tube coming out of the water pump. Where does it go. During the rebuild, I moved the bottle up front. and had all the hoses off. I'm thinking it T's up with the hose coming out from the top/back of the motor around the tranny, but that leaves one extra nipple on the T. What goes there? Bye the way, how much coolant does this pig take? thanks
  8. I asked the same question. A new spring runs around a hundred bucks. I decided to spend that money on one of MrMatt's -2 swingarms. It made my back shock stiffer and it made the quad SO much more fun to ride. Look into it.
  9. Guys, help me out. I rode home minus the nut on the top bolt in my carrier. Needless to say it toasted the threads. I started this post to ask if I can get 'em anywhere but the dealer, but the more I drink of this Berkshire Brewing Company, Steel Rail E.P.A. (I type slow) the more I think about ditching the stock carrier. I've got MrMatt's -2 swingarm and I'm lovin' it right now; but, what are my options for improving on that carrier setup. The unintelligible need not reply. Thanks guys.
  10. Don't know the part numbers but maybe this will help. I used this method and my kickstarter is way better than it ever was even brand new. Cheap too. Holyman tech. kickstarter no rattle Bye the way, Thanks Holyman.
  11. use the search button type "grease" good luck
  12. 1. flip your wheels around. Rather than relocate the valve stems, get some flush mount valve stems (cheap). That way you can flip them back if you want. 2. get some raptor or blaster pegs on ebay.(I got mine for $0.99 + shipping) Both of these make a HUGE difference in the handling. It'll feel like a whole new bike. (till you can get some cash)
  13. just got off the phone with Gary at quicksand. We shot the shit for a little while, and when I told him I was referred by the HQ, he knocked $25 off the price BOOOOYEAH!!! Thanks Gary, and thank you BansheeHQ for coming through for me once again. BTW...I got the blue lowers with chrome uppers. they're gona be hot.

  15. Right On. Get Adaware (from Download.com), Pest Patrol, and SpyBot search and destroy. Once you've run these, and your system is clean, Go to Zonelabs.com and get the free version of ZoneAlarm firewall protection. Install this and run it ALWAYS. You'll notice a HUGE performance increase.
  16. I've got some fatty's and power core 2's the pipes have light surtace rust on the back side. no dents. the pipes and silencers function perfectly, and with a little polish and elbow grease will be real nice.
  17. Well we know from the increased airflow of a k&n that even AIR has a hard time getting through a two stage foam filter. Do you really think that any dust particles large enough to cause significant engine wear could wriggle their way through both layers. The very composition of the foam makes it physically impossible for any solid particles to pass through unless it's ripped. There's no direct path going from one side of the foam to the other. Take the dirtiest sponge in your house and rip it open. It'll be clean on the inside. Other than maybe a little color tinged. No dirt granules. P.S. I'm certainly not trying to be a wise-ass or argumentative in any way. I'm just looking for opinions and all are welcome. I'm also tired of cleaning these f#&$ing filters. thanks
  18. Any of you guys use spray-on oil on the foam filters or do you use the thick shtuff?
  19. hey man, If you want long-life tires, I have to recommend the razr2's. I got em and the lugs are super deep. At first, they may even hook-up too well, but, I think they're definitely worth the extra money. They'll last you twice as long as holeshots or razrs. Just my $.02.
  20. I sent you a p.m. Get back to me.
  21. that's what I'm sayin'. I don't think it's really worth all the b.s. trying to keep it clean.
  22. that's a tough one. Did you install the pressure plates by the book? There's a tab on each one. they're supposed to be staggered at 60 degree intervals.
  23. I run a pro design two stage foam filter, and I always oil it well. Lately I'm wondering if I really need to. Unless there's a tear in the filter there is no way in hell any sand is getting through both layers of foam. I think all the oil is doing is inhibiting the airflow. Anyone disagree?
  24. Did you soak the plates in oil prior to installation?
