i think the place your talking about is called Buttercup. Dumont is south of Las Vegas. its a cool place to ride nice big bowls and hills. not as crowded or big as Glamis but you still get some fast bikes out there. i should be goin out there again on Presidents weekend.
-
am almost sure you do. i like comp hill at Dumont. steep, less woops and smooth, but you cant beat the competiton at Glamis.
-
the shee looks sweet bro, show us pics of the finished project.
-
anybody goin out to dumont for T-day? just wanted an idea whos goin to be there

am a USC fan and come new year's will find out . oh and the BCS is BS!

its OK if you run your stock needle, i dont know if your bike is stock or not but on the ones that i have done i almost always leave it on the 3rd possition, sometimes 4th. i have a toomey needle in my bike know and its also at the 3rd but i did some work and will be putting it in the 4th and testing it soon. most of the time you leave your pilots stock and just change the mains to a bigger size. just my experience, hope that helps

i have two quads, a banshee and a tecate 4 and both of them have twist. everytime i ride my buddies bikes the same thing happends to me. most of my friends are scared of the twist on my shee but its not bad you just have to get the hang of it. one of my friends changed from twist to thumb . if you have a chance to ride a bike with it (quad or 2 whlr) you should, to see if you like it first.

hey sanddragon theres a bluetraxx unofficial meeting in sep. 20 something @ pismo, i would like to go but i pulled a muscle in my lower back so am goin to be out till holloween @ glamis. but you should check it out.
-
what about rear paddles?
-
am lowering the front sprocket to 13 teeth myself but dont have a chance to try it till holloween at glamis. i saw somewhere that they recomend you use that for dunening. i guess the only way to really find out is for you to try 13, 15 or some other number and see which one you and your shee feels best. try to look at it like when you ride a bicycle with speeds if that helps.

right now i am running #340 on my mains and #25 pilots and it feels good, i will probably be moving up on my main to #350 and #27.5 on pilots and see how it feels. i usually run it a Glamis and Pismo. in about two weeks i will be goin back to Pismo and checking

just like money24 said, it depends on your type of riding, but it does give you more bottom end. (my buddy has that setup)
-
ok, just changed the stock needle back to the original 3rd position and there was a big improvement in throtle responce, more low and mid power. it might just be me but it seems like it could improve just a little in those parts, or not. want to thank you guys for all the help. P.S. does anybody know anything about Raptors?
-
if you go am ride sand without them, its goin to be like a magnet for sand cause of the oilon the filters. i strongly recomend you use something or else

i was looking thru the site trying to find out how to clean my pipes from burn marks on chrome but couldnt find anything, i guess it left with the old site. anyways i decided to post this question so you guys could put in your 2cents on any special methods you do so everybody could keep there pipes nice and shinny, so what should whe do?
-
thanks Brian, i'll give that a try. does it matter that the bike is completly stock?
-
what kind of shocks do you guys recomend i use? my bike only thouches sand so i like to play in the bowls, on hills and fly thru the woops, i dont want to spend to much $$$ cause i still have to get a rear axle
-
i just took my shee out for the first time on sunday to pismo beach with my new rocket pipes and you know what there great i noticed a big difference from my old t-5's way more bottom end and mid i dont even have to give it full twist on the gas before i fell the front end wanting to come up. i never tried cpi's and actually was goin to buy some but i just wanted to try something different and am satified. the only problem i have now is my jetting it feels a little flat on top end, what do think minkia? (or anybody else). i have pics to post, if somebody could show me how to do it.
-
thanks guys, thats why i had to ask here first. since there the same lenght and adjustable i wanted to make sure. i was actually trying to get some yfz450 shock but had no luck (and not much $$$) i guess i just have to use my stock ones for now, how will those performe?
