I think I might have shit my pants JUST a little when I came out of the hole for the first time on the drag bike. That thing is BADASS, and its setup great for the dunes. Very comfortable, and definitely runs hard. Cant wait to get more seat time on it.... I was super happy with me yellow Banshee too, the old girl is still a ripper!

1. Unplug stator, OHM it out to factory specs (see clymers) 2. Check pickup clearance. Get that sucker as close as possible without your flywheel hitting it. I usually fold a piece of paper and use that as a gapper 3. Grab a buddies CDI if available, always good to keep one around anyways. You can get one from any year banshee and crop wires if you have to. 4. Check CDI ground wire 5. make sure Coil mount tabs are ground to bare metal. The coil grounds itself here. Stock coils hardly ever fail. Im guessing CDI

I agree with this. I ran my trail bike at 165psi, +4 timing for years without issues. Hell my buddy was running his bike at 175psi on pump gas. I wouldn't do it, but he as well had zero issues with detonation or anything related to low octane.

Yea, at twice the cost of ES I think its retarded. I had to put EGs in the drag bike cuz thats all they had stocked in a BR9. Ive never had fouling issues running BR8ES on gas, and BR9ES on methanol.

I built mine from scratch in about 3-4 months.. To where it sits for now at least!! Take your time, and do a TON of hunting for good used parts. Barder with people, trade if you can, make deals, and eventually everything will work out in your favor. it definitely takes patience if you want to save some cheddar!

Nice, Ill have my yellow bike and the NEW drag bike! I'm guessing my ass will be on the drag bike most of the day, but we'll see. I definitely want to get some good seat time on it. But I always have time to get the play bike out and roost some sand too! Does DAR sell methanol too?
