  1. We have a few at work that I have driven. Both with the 4.6 liter engine. Its a dog, cant get out of its own way and bad on gas to boot because the truck is so heavy. It handles like a boat, kinda rolls in turns and floats over bumps. I wouldn't get one, no doubt in my mind. The wife has a 2001 Durango, bad on gas but it rides pretty good. A bit small though. The Chevy Tahoe is a good all around truck, so I have read, never had the chance to drive one though. Bottom line, I would steer away from the Expedition. They look nice and all, but the ride and gas mileage isnt great.
  2. Stock bike with a filter, no porting in your future, Toomey T-5's. Stock bike with definite porting/polishing plans in the not so distant future, CPI's. I have a stock shee with T-5's, V-Force and a cool head and it hauls ass. The bike listed below with the porting, carbs and increased compression, among other things, needed the CPI's and its just crazy fast. Pro Circuit makes a very nice pipe as well, more of an all around pipe and is very reasonably priced when compared to the aforementioned pipes. Remember, ANY pipe you choose will be a huge improvement over stock, you just have to decide where you prefer the power.
  3. I just shove the air box on the boots until the carb boots mash up enough to hook the air box in. Not too big of a deal. It got much harder when I put the V-Force on that Banshee, thats when I took the spacers out. Didnt notice ANY difference with or without them FYI.
  4. Understood. Messing with carbs is pretty darn expensive, I'm sure I dont have to tell you. Switching from stockers to 30's to 33's and what have you will drain the wallet in a hurry. I just bought this shee and still have the other one but it got so dang cold I have only ridden it once. I will say this, compared to my other shee this thing should literally have wings once you punch through 3rd and into 4th and up. Cant wait till the weather breaks.
  5. You wont be disapointed.
  6. Stockers perform better? Is your motor ported Banchetta? I just moved into this banshee (see below sig.) from a stock bike with pipes, cool head and V-Force. I did notice it isnt as quick out of the hole as my other shee but from third up it just flat out flies. With the drag/dune port that I have would I benefit more from a smaller set of carbs, in your opinion?
  7. So what are you running now? What, in your opinion is the best carb set up? Particularly for a ported, polished and bored motor.
  8. Will the 2 into 1 filter fit on my Keihin PWK 33s? I have the K and N pods but would like to switch.
  9. OK, go with a 15 front. Your carbs and Toomeys will benefit from the larger gearing in the front. You should notice a reasonable difference.
  10. Stock is 14/41. With your mods you will really benefit going up a tooth in the front and staying stock in the rear. Any port work done? If so try a 16 front tooth. Good luck.
  11. Was he serious? No gas and he's ranting?!
  12. Noss head where you dont have to change out the studs with 20cc domes.
  13. I've only had T-5's and now the CPI's. The CPI's run alot like the Toomeys but with a bit more punch on the top end. The two sound pretty similar as well. You wont be disapointed with the CPI's.
  14. No gain or lose on spacers in my experience. If you do get them thery are REED spacers so they go in front of the reeds.
  15. Agreed, Banshee. You can customize it anyway you want. CPI's or Toomeys for duning/dragging, Gnarlies for woods, SST's, Fatties or Pro circuits for any combo. You can go to a single carb for more low end or two big carbs for your top end. Its up to you. And remember, the shee has been around since 87, many, many parts to be had out there. All this and you still have a vast collection of suspension components to choose from as well. Banshee is the quad, hands down.
