I just got my cylinders back from Gorr. I have only been able to just get into third gear in my back yard before Im hard on the brakes. The only thing I can do is smile!!!! I cant wait to get out and open her up
I have been debating on who to do the port work for the last year. I really believe that if you get port work done by any builder metioned on this board you wont be disappointed.

When you cleaned the carbs did you take out the pilot and look through it? I had the same problem, I was pissed. I took the carbs apart again and sure enough it was that freakin pilot!!
Iceman's got it right! Its all about skills. You should be in a position on that quad where you can be ready for anything. It only takes a second for things to go wrong(like your front end coming up on ya)I would tell you to keep your head just in front of the handlebars,arms bent elbows up. that way your ahead of the problem and not part of it!

Ya know, I had the same symtoms with the pipes and smoke I found the problem to be a clogged pilot.
