    Its probably the 24:1 ratio, that awfully rich. I'm running 32:1 on fresh motor and thats pretty darn rich. I dont know bout the backfiring but 24:1 would definately be smokey.

    Sounds like the right is running leaner than the left. Could be a lean carb,air leak on rightside, right rod bearing may be going out. Noticed my right pipe was running hotter than left, next day rod bearing went out. Might want to take those cylinders off and check things out before you run into a big problem like me.

    I just recently finished putting some mid-range ported big bore cylinders on my shee. I'm looking to upgrade in the carb region. I mainly do trail riding and I also like to have a good top end. What dual carbs are the best for setup? Whats the difference with the different types of slides?

    I'm interested in the 35.5 Carbs. What name brand are they? Will they work with stock thumb cable? What does it mean to have a cut slide? How much for aftermarket maniflod boots to fit 35.5?
