  1. i'm going to buy a cdi and a stator for my aling shee.i wanted to get the adjustable stater plate and i see ricky stator sells a stock and 200 watt stators with adjustable plates. much cheaper also.does anyone have one of these stators? i don't want to waste my money on junk. is it worth it to get the 200w? should i just buy the stock one?
  2. how would i test the stator resisatance test and what reading do i look for? thanks for all the help.
  3. kick the shee this mourning and it had spark for two kicks then nothing.i have the TORS box unplugged and my coil is new.anyone know where i can see a wiring diagram online. going to tast the harness tonight.
  4. :angry:i put my shee together back in nov.i got it in pieces. when i got it running it ran good but in the high rpm it would break up. i thought it was just jetting problems.i rode it only twice since then, i went to go ride it the other day and it would not start. i thought it was plugs so i changed them and still no good. i checked it for spark and it had none.i borrowed a friends coil and it started so i featured it was the coil and ordered a new one. put the new coil on it started, stalled and would not fire. checked for spark and it had none. checked all the wires, key switch.etc all good. checked for spark again and it had it. started the quad it ran pretty good then turned off the key and it was still running.gave it some throttle and it reved up.let it idle it stalled and it had no spark again. checked the key switch it was ok i guess. my friends cdi is differrent so i coundn't try it. well anyway the spark keeps coming and going and i don't know if it is the cdi box or the stater?any help would be graetful.
  5. go to a local dealer with the vin# and they will tell you what year it is.when i worked for a kaw dealer that is how we did it.
  6. i also have pc's and felt they had no low end but awsome top.they pulled low at a bog and i didn't have to clutch it.i think they were a good choise for how i like to ride.twist to the stop.
  7. also the side of the carb's have a sticker that say's not for aircraft use.are the mikuni tm's good carb's and can anyone tell me if 28's are stock or not?
  8. but are my carbs 28mm and did they come stock?i get different answer's. and i guess since the inside bore is 28mm then they are 28's
  9. opps no sig. it a 91 shee pc pipes+sil,milled head,fmf ram valves,.060 over wisecos,pro design air filter set up.
  10. i bought my shee cheap because it was in baskets.the person who orig. owned it raced it and had alot of aftermarket stuff.i put it back together and am wondering about the carbs.they are mikuni tm carbs that measure 28mm id on the intake side.so i guess that these are 28mm carbs and are not stock?the tors is elimanated.it also came with a twist thottle.2)what jetting do you recommend? mods are posted below.right know it is 280 main 30 pilot.i connected the thottle tors wires together so it would run but someone told me to just unplug the little black box under the gas tank is this true? thanks
  11. my banshee came with aftermarket carbs and a twist thottle needless to say no place to hook up the wires for the tors.i purchused the banshee in milk crates and am now putting it together. i had no spark until i cut the end off the throttle tors wires and twisted the two together. is this going to run ok or only start and run like crab? the two carb wires are not hooked up just hanging there. i don't know how or if the person before me even had this thing running.help!
  12. i got a set of ram valves free i had to replace the reeds but there like new. my question is am i supose to modtfiy my intakes or leave then alone? i called fmf twice and they could not help me the guy there said fmf did not make the valves and that they discoutined them. any help or advice would be greatful.
