hey man, yeah you can go to NAPA or any car part store and just ask for some engine degreaser...it usually comes in an arosol (spelling) can...spray it on the engine, let it bubble a bit, and wash clean....DONT GET IT ON PAINT...it will ruin/strip your paint on your jugs and DONT GET IT ON RUBBER...it'll eat away at your intake boots etc...it's an acid so it'll do it's acidic things and make your engine nice and shiney... hey guys, i just got the tors eliminator tops and switched to a thumb throttle...the plug-type-connecters have been disconnected from the top of the computers and my eliminator tops have been installed...my thumb throttle is disconnected and gone too...do i need to remove my tors control unit in order for it to get spark?...thanks ahead of time... mike

the only reason we ride at winchester bay is because my sister and mom arent very comfortable riders and they are familiar with the terrain...i'd like to bomb down to at least spinreel for some beach fun but i dunno if i'll have the time or money lol...sorry for bumpin up an old post, i've been out of town all weekend peace Mike

Nice you guys, thanks for the info and i hope to meet up with a group... and no eehsnab i kinda chickened out and got scared of the rust issue, so i just painted it with the rest of the frame... i had the frame and such all sandblasted and primered nice, i was gonna spraypaint it and then touch it up really nice...well the spraypaint didnt take to the primer so my friends dad air-gunned it and i basically got a $500 automotive paint job for next to free...clearcoated and everything i'll definately have to get pics so people know what to look for... hey people, im just wondering where everyones going to go riding on new years...im probably heading to winchester bay just because it's the easiest place to camp for us and is close to a regular town (not like spinreel)...im riding a 2002 w/ a black frame and silver fullbores, you'll probably see it somewhere close to a brown '91 explorer, double-decker open trailer, a '92 blaster (black/blue/white), '87 warrior (red), and an '87 250X (grey and really loud due to a 350X engine)...there will probably be a couple other bikes riding with us and we'll most likely be parked at the 3rd parking lot where everyone drag races...if anyones interested look me up and pm me...if ya'll want you can give me a buzz on my cell too (PM me and we'll work something out)...hope to see you there and meet some people Mike

just check the persons feedback rating...usually if they've dealt with a lot of people and have a good % of positive feedback its pretty safe...i'd stay away from new sellers just in case tho... Mike

i tried my dune runner front (22X7X10) with my haulers (20X11X10) and it felt ok...wasnt the best...thing i hated most was the way it looked...looked goofy...i like smaller tires in the front (least smaller than 22") Mike

this is a fuckin useless thread...i say everyone just ignores jizzo, he's out to get a lot of money for something that isnt worth it's weight in mt dew cans...'01's are the absolute worst year raptor because it was basically a prototype that hit the market, yamaha didnt know exactly how it was going to do (i mean compared to all the work that went into the 450, it's a POS)...sounds like this kid doesnt really want to understand exactly how screwed he is when it comes to this...i say maybe if he went off ebay and bought an '03 raptor engine for about a grand, stuck it in the frame, he could get a little more but that would require effort... my $.02 Mike

check your email, im pretty interested in the trade.... i have a set of 2002 headlights that work awesome (high and low beam) i used them for about 6 months...they still have the wires and clips still intact...i forgot to mention in the email that the plastic grill in the front of the headlight has a melt mark about the size of a nickel...i'll throw in a set of blue/black/silver cascade covers if you want... i have a friend that works at a metal fabrication place so i figured i could just take it to him, have him lay some cuts, then extend it... i did look into the extentions, they run just a little over $100 (it'd cost about that to extend the arm) and it's lighter too... does anyone know if i polish my swingarm if it'll rust?...what if i clearcoat it like a muther f-er?

hey guys, before anyone starts up yelling at me about "use the search" and such, i tried...had an error...something's messed up and i cant search... anyways onto the topic does anybody know how to extend the stock swingarm?...i know you can cut and weld pieces into the middle of the cut, but i dont know what kind of material the stock swingarm is or what material to use to extend it... i have friends that can weld and such so it's not a problem...just wondering what kind of material i can use and what type of weld i should do... i need help pretty fast if ya'll would be so kind thanks in advance Mike

what kinda racing are you doing for one? if it's like MX or something you shoooooooould be ok...sounds like he has a lot of low end on you...if you're drag racing, you're probably gonna get worked because that 2-1 pipe does jack up top....hell get a set of CPI's or T5's and you'll be pretty good and set up...
